Hello chums. Spring cleaning has begun. Mr V really up for it and was ruthless. Me not so much ruthless. I am just about to do my wardrobe and scarf and hand bag drawers. Two under bed drawers still to do with my boxed shoes.Shoes are difficult. We haven’t really been on holiday since before lockdown so am loath to get rid of going out type shoes yet. Both bedside drawers done. I was able to let a fair bit of jewellery go. Everything bagged up so far for different destinations. Church shop, sally army, step son, recycling and bin.New numbers include a huge amount of Mr V’s clothes. My numbers to be added when I am finished. Once I have finished I will clean everything and move onto the spare room.New total 306

Floss - I got him to sign a letter that came to give me authority to talk to a bank. I have held off but it looks like I will have to go for power of attorney.

MrsF I really feel for you….do you think Mr F has just given up or is ill? It sounds like he has moments of lucidity here and there….and then he doesn’t…I don’t know what to suggest or say that would help/make you feel better….I’m afraid that I’m a very blunt sort of person and do call peoples bluff so probably not the right person to offer any advise at all!I enclose a great big Welsh cwtch …. Here we go…..squeeze….there! Xxx⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering

@Blue_Doggy I have, but they are small (think one book size) mainly plastic bag ones. I’m not convinced anyone would want those. It’s a bit like the food where I bought too much of the wrong thing.. I’m slowly getting through them and it serves as a reminder to not get too much in future. Sort of punishing myself I suppose, but it really works as I do remember how long it takes to use things up and don’t get so much in stock anymore. If I could just get rid of it then I probably wouldn’t change.Well I pretty much spammed the Buy Nothing thread today and now have 11 people to come and pick up stuff. Should clear a lot of the library! Not sure how many bags will be used up as sadly some of it is bigger stuff that wouldn't fit. I am always surprised when so many people want my tatResting now this evening after making an early start on the big Lego sort out. Trying to do a bit every day until it's done (this week I hope!). The new storage arrives on Thursday and I thought my time was well worth the £4 delivery fee (plus I needed one other thing for kitchen storage).2025 decluttering: 3,984🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

You need to apply to be appointed a deputy by the Court of Protection so you can manage his affairs. Some links for information are below. This can take quite a while to set up so do it as soon as possible. Please put out food and water for the birds and hedgehogs20

Arghh just lost my post!
@Florenceem hugs, there should be a social worker at the hospital who can help with what you need to do and give advice on practical and financial support. If you ask the ward clerk or nurses they should be able to put you in contact with them.
Mrs SD very impressed with all the detailed cleaning on the ktichen doors and handles.... A medal must be on its way.
I managed to hoover the first flight of stairs in my lunchtime and just using up aubergines and peppers to make a sort of italian stew.
Found that been taken advantage over something which has been hassle and debating how to do it as involves some financial loss (not huge and my sil says just walk away you don't need the hassle).
Struggle with so many long standing frogs (years) but keeping nudging along, and reminding myself I'm lucky in lots of ways.
DD1 just rang for me to print certificates she needs for uni practical tomorrow. Printed and saved a copy in a folder - trying to be more organised with electronic clutter.

Sorry things are so difficult Mrs F. Hugs.
No day off childcare today as DGD4 was sick overnight and couldn't go to school. Her mother collected her this afternoon but I have them back tomorrow evening anyway. Sorted some books out to go and parcelled some up to post only to discover I had left one book out of the box grrr.
551-558 Books to Z****t. Parcelled up and taken to collection point. Should get a few pounds for the pot.
559-563 Books (not wanted by Z****t) taken to hospice book shop
564 Plastic dropped off at SM
565 Some history notes printed off and posted to group leader.
Tomorrow I will try harder.2025 Decluttering Campaign 733/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

About to chase for a pension quote I requested a few weeks ago, and seen it was sent last week, so saved this as a pdf and filed. Def need to be more systematic.
Also a financial frog and made a list of key calls for the morning.
Take care everyone
Almost forgot again - 580 not sure if its rounding up or down but moving in the right direction!18 -
