@QueenJess I am glad I am not the only one who needs to sort out future presents. I too seem to have boxes / piles in 4 different places which is not helpful. I bulk buy when I find something that looks good because LO class at school seem to be doing whole class parties. Typical that next weekend our neighbour has invited LO to a football party and I don’t think I have a suitable gift for him so will have to go shopping again….I will add it to my list. Sort out and organise presents in one place 😉17

Mr F was in a chair when I visited today and talking sensibly. However he seems to have given up on getting fit enough to return home. I asked if he wanted his phone - no or anything else - no.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Good evening. Yesterday I did half hour in the boys room and put together some gaming bits they had had for Christmas and threw out the boxes.
Today I've gone through the pantry again, was quite a bit thrown but it was things I'd found last time that were already just past date but no-one has still touched them.
Then did half hour in the girls room. They really are messy!
Think I'm going to get my whiteboard back out and start doing a room cleaning rota.

912-915 4x boxes from boys bedroom (from christmas items finally put together)

938-940 3 large selection boxes (they were the toy ones not chocolate ones)

Good news @Florenceem that Mr F is sitting up and talking sensibly when you visited. It took us ages to convince DBro that he ought to have his phone or something to stimulate him. I think it was about a month before he accepted his phone and about that for books. Most of the time he was staring at a wall ‘thinking’. More like the ‘hold music’ if you ask me. Mr F will get there, he might be concerned about losing it in hospital.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

@Florenceem glad Mr F talking sensibly. I think hospital is very disorientating and hard to be motivated to do things. I don't know if his mobility has been affected but they may have occupational therapy or physio therapy, often just a small amount of time but can help.
Lost an important notebook and found an urgent email was stuck in drafts which may have consequences. So instead of watching TV tonight have just done a little work as have to take DD2 to an appt tomorrow so leave work early, and a few frogs and need to be disciplined to get out of my muddle. Started a to do list for tomorrow. Took bag of 20 things to donation hub and large book case booked up, so side table can be moved against the wall and I can get round the dining table. Did some filing and also listed a few things with DB sending photos - he's motivated to clear dad's house but the next 2 months have other priorities, fingers crossed DD1 goes to assessments, Hoping new dish washer arrives tomorrow.
Smelly carpet removed (may have said already) and room find now but having been to carpet shop again worried about getting another remnant but so much cheaper - debating with myself the risk.
Hope the week goes ok for everyone.18 -
1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off -
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
I never did go back to bed 🙊 Instead I stayed on the sofa dozing until the Marathon started. Watched on & off between naps 😉 Very inspiring stories 😊 Finally got dressed after the last of the BBC TV coverage 🙊 Picked up DH’s clothes off the bedroom floor & either put them in the laundry bag or folded & put away & made the bed as it was fully aired. Resumed cleaning the kitchen cupboard doors & handles. Four mini sessions totalling 70 minutes - 4 cupboard doors & 2 drawers done 🙂 Now only 10 cupboards & 2 drawers to do 😉 Also sorted out my supply of glass jars putting 8 into the recycling wheelie bin + a plastic bottle retrieved from the bedroom 👏 Dinner was our last HF meal, chicken wrapped in Serrano ham, with cheesy roasties & broccoli + we added peas for extra veg. Delicious 🤤 DSis did the washing up & I dried & put away

Another very busy week weenancy 👏 Your hard work preparing for the book sale has resulted in an excellent amount raised 😊 & pleased to hear that you managed to stay relatively cool with the temperatures in the 90’s 😥 Very pleased to hear that your health is improving & that currently you ‘only’ have a sore back 😉🤞 Excellent news about roommate Di - your unstinting support has obviously helped her confidence so that she is now working 😊 Here’s hoping that she will start doing at least a bit of housework 🤞 We can add ‘car diagnostics’ to your list of skills 👏 Sorry to hear that both Di & G are having medical issues 😔 Well done to both G & J for finally doing little bits to help 🙂Fingers crossed that the insurance inspection goes well 🤞Please take care weenancy 🙏
Excellent decluttering Florenceem 👏 Please remember to eat & keep your strength up, as I am assuming that the weight loss is unintentional.
~FlowerPot~ that is a lot of Lego 🤩 I see that GrannyKate’s DS2 has offered some advice about the best place to list & sell the Lego 😊 Good luck with both the sorting & selling 🍀 What a gorgeous puppy & such a cute photo of Elmo 😊 Excellent work in your garden 👏
charlies_tribe, thanks for reminding us that Dfw38 is running today 👏 Entry for next year’s marathon closes Friday 28th April so DH & DS2 only have a few days to enter the draw for places 🤣
Love your kitchen work surface Florenceem 😍
Thanks vulpix 👏 Sorry to hear that you had a ‘down’ day on Saturday 😔 Hopefully the bathroom will be finished on Monday 🤞 Belated Birthday Greetings to your son 🎉 Good luck with your Spring cleaning 🍀
Shame about your lodger moving out stellata ☹️ but as you say it might be rather nice to have your home to yourself for a while 😊
Just seen the time so am off to bed & will catch up with the cheerleading tomorrow 🙂

Wow, this is such a busy thread! Managed to delcutter most of my flowerbeds of weeds and strim the lawn :-) Seeds and gladioli bulbs planted. I have bought a sonic cat scarer in the hope my newly dug over beds don't get used as a toilet. I'm also trying out growing spring onions and lettuce in old veg trays.
Big bag of plastic bags gone to recyling as I remembered to take them to the shop.
A break now while I'm in work. Next missions will be the crockery cupboards.
Hope you all have a positive week x19
