Well my second week of rest is having a good affect. I feel much less burnt out than a couple of weeks ago. I've had a couple of walks, listened to podcasts and today had an impromptu declutter because I was in exactly the right frame of mind to let go of things.
While I was up in the loft I came across a nice pair of trainer type shoes that I'd completely forgotten I had. Unfortunately it was the day AFTER I bought 2 pairs of trainer type shoes (one for exercise the other for general walking) and had taken the tags off! Anyway, it's not the end of the world and I do really like both the new pairs.

@Fizz2015 good luck with the trek ( and training) sounds a really good thing to be doing.
@Florenceem glad your visit to see Mr F better today and sorry so up and down, hopefully more up.
Been under the weather wirh knee joints swelling , red and hot apparently could be virus but symptoms usually in kids so sent time lying around watching TV much of the day. Deleted over 500 emails but can't get storage below 99% . Trying to use other ema account more.
Dd1 had mh blip with panic attack and missed uni assessment and still nowhere to live after 20th May so stressful.
Abit of paper decluttering and tidying alongside emails, takes forever. Some packaging and storage things out and 2 email frogs moved along but some I've been nudging for months/ years and they come in quicker than go out.
Shelves being picked up by someone hopefully tomorrow. Will do numbers then.17 -
Been wearing a shirt which I nearly decluttered and glad I haven't as don't have many tops. Pair of trousers from CS for £3 which will be good as back in the office more and haven't decluttered lock down lbs so will be useful.
Remembered yesterday helped dd2 sort through a small pile, 2 old folders out and some paper declutter. Empty exercise books put to one side.16 -

4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
DH left @ 15:15. Arrived at the hospital & his DSis & her DD were there but hadn’t managed to visit G as she was having all the paraphernalia that she is attached to changed. I have watched the first episode of Season 2 of my Italian series “Christian” I just about remember how the 1st season ended 😉 Then I decided that I really did need to do some sort of cleaning 😂 So I started cleaning the cupboard doors & drawer fronts in the kitchen. First I removed the handles from one cupboard - see type of handle below
Then I washed, rinsed & dried both sides of the door before putting the newly cleaned & polished handle back on. Managed to do 3 cupboards & a deep drawer in 70 minutes. Taking the handles off is a doddle but getting them back on is a struggle 😔 Only 14 cupboards & 4 drawers left to do 😥 😂 DH got home just after 20:00. DH was there when the consultant visited G & the good news is that he was very pleased with her progress 🙂
Dinner was southern fried chicken & oven chips. Wudupa.
1043 - 1045 Kitchen recycling, magazine, drinks cans - recycled
1046 Kitchen detritus binned
I will see you all tomorrow & catch up with the cheerleading 🙂

Highlights for this week -
Worked over 20 hours getting read for booksale. Now have presents for grandnieces and grandnephews thanks to getting books at the sale myself.
Had my annual health exam and A1C doing better (even with the Easter eggs). Other than having a sore back, I am doing much better. Haven't been able to get much therapy in as roommate Di has been working - something I never thought would happen (she is on the Autism spectrum) - and she uses the car to get to work. Her father wouldn't let her drive as he didn't think she could do anything, but she is really good at research and remembering names and facts about people. Just wish she was able to do a little housework. Her mother would never let her do any of it - don't raise your children that way please. Let them learn how to do things for themselves.
The doctor had me go to our pharmacy for a new pneumonia shot and an updated shingles shot also. Got them free - but should have had them both in the same arm instead of having two sore arms.
Had a problem with the car on two separate occasions - wouldn't turn over. The repairman came and said it wasn't the battery, but he thought it was a loose cable. After it happened the second time, I moved the battery a bit - and realized that the battery shouldn't be able to be moved! Went to the repair shop and showed them what I thought was the problem - that the bracket wasn't holding the battery in place. I was right about that. Took about twenty minutes to get it fixed and they added oil to the car - and didn't charge me anything for it.
Di had a sonogram on her leg as she has been complaining about pain, so they were checking to make sure there wasn't a blood clot as she has been standing for work all day and she isn't used to doing that. And roommate G has had several tests and will have more next week also to see why his legs are feeling so strange and swelling.
Made birthday and congratulation cards from our Friends group for three people at the library. They had the party for them while we were there for our book sale and gave us lunch. I always try to put pictures of the person the card is for as well as pictures of our Friends board in the card. Something I learned in my Publisher class.
I'm up to 6000 entries on the computer for the parish in Switzerland I have been indexing. They are tied together in one large tree - no loose people added in yet.
Regular trash has been going out. Roommate G bought two large trash cans with lids to make it easier for him in his room and for our kitchen. Roommate J has actually been flattening his drink boxes as they empty instead of letting the boxes sit around for a few weeks. Have to clean as much as possible for the Insurance company that wants to do a visual inspection for our insurance renewal. Have to make it presentable in a month's time.
It was 34 Celsius for our book sale but we were under an overhang so kept cool. But several areas around the library had power failures because everyone was trying to use their air conditioning at once. Even Disneyland had power failures two days in a row in parts of the Park. We made over $300 from the sale. Gave a lot of books away too.
Roommate Di is working from 2pm to 10:30 pm, roommate J is working 4:00 pm to 12:30 am at Disneyland. Wish they could coordinate schedules, but I am learning to plan errands in advance - what I can walk to versus what I need a car for or what I can order online for delivery. Just not getting much sleep with them coming in late and the cats insisting on getting up at 6:30 or before.
Take Florenceem- we are sending you hugs and our prayers.
Hope everyone has an improving week.17 -
Did a large number of decluttering for today.
Had a shower and washed my hair + washing machine on by 6.15 am. Weighed myself - lost 4lbs in 2 weeks.

Sunday 07:40 woke up for a bathroom visit & decided to have a small cup of tea before going back to bed. Currently cool & dry but overcast, so fingers crossed it stays like that for the Marathon 🤞
Great decluttering short_bird 👏 Hope you resolved the clothing crisis 🤞
Sounds like a good evening out Fizz2015 😊 I much prefer a picnic to painting 😉 Good luck with your training 🍀
D123456789, what a shame that the pre loved sale was so disappointing ☹️ Possibly a bit too son after Easter 🤔 Sounds like you had a lovely time swimming with LO 😊
Florenceem, pleased to hear that MrF had a reasonably good day yesterday 🙂 Long may it continue. Thanks for the reminder about glass jars & bottles, I think I need to do a cull as a neighbour recently dropped off a bagful & I have yet to sort through it 😉 Apparently in some countries it is considered good luck to be pooped on by a bird 😥 although not sure I understand why - something to do with the odds being so low 🤔 If you still have the receipt for the boots, I would take them back & see if you can get a discount on the new pair 🤞
Excellent work in the garden Soontobeoap 👏 Sorry to hear about the apple tree but I think 4 years was rather more than it deserved 😉 I am wondering how long it was before your DH noticed it was gone 😅
Florenceem, shame that the items didn’t sell & had to be given away ☹️ but as you say they are now decluttered 🙂
EnergyShifter, any chance of a third week of rest & TLC 🤞 An excellent decluttering session 👏 I think the trainer type shoes were hiding in the loft until they were sure you had treated yourself to some new footwear 😉
Sorry to hear that you have been under the weather TC77 ☹️ If the swollen, red & hot knee joints persist please contact your doctor 🙏 Poor DD1, sorry to hear that the flat hunting is still not yielding results & causing DD1 such stress ☹️ Good decluttering 👏 Re the 99% full email storage, is there anyone in your IT department who could help out or at least give you some pointers on how to reduce it further🤞 I am not very technologically minded but whenever I delete emails I also empty the Trash bin immediately 🤷♀️ What a good CS buy 🙂
Just finished my cuppa so am going back to bed after posting this 😉 Will finish catching up on the cheerleading later 🙂

Happy sunday declutteratti,
So ALL the lego is in the lounge, so i can't ignore it now 😱😱😱😱
I looked on ebay and decided the sets really need to be made up of we want to sell it.
Plus we have a lego mindstorm and that lego is slightly different, so dh spent 2 hours on finding the mindstorm pieces, but still a way to go. And I started on a mars Misson kit, made the first model (alien aircraft) which again took 2 hours 🙄 1 piece took over 30 minutes to find. 😱
Now sure how long I will spend doing this before I give up as it takes a ridicuos amount if time. Was hoping the DC would help, but they were hard to find last night, only DPuppydog wanted to help by decluttering the pierces in his mouth!!
Here is some of it! Colour coded to help find each bit 😁😁😁

And because the lego picture is so boring 💤 heres one of Elmo, our italian greyhound pup, just over a year old and scared of everything especially the window men 😂
In other news had a good day decluttering a conifer tree yesterday, now the bay tree will get more light and we get more light in our bedroom. I also cleared the leaves and derittus around the side and made a large pile to go up the tip, so not gone yet but ready to book that tip trip, which will actually probably be 2 trips.
