I was so surprised when I went to visit Mr F - he was sitting in a chair! First time out of bed for 9 days and he knew me and was mostly talking sense. So different to yesterday. The lumbar punch results can take a week. Mr F can't walk on his own and still has a catheter and nappy. He asked me to take in his Bible and a newspaper.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off -
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
DH got back just after 15:00, bike unloaded, all shopping put away & menu plan firmed up 🙂 It got very dark about 16:20 & we now have a steady drizzle as well as a drop in temperature ☹️ DH & I had a bowl of hm soup - very tasty & very filling 😋 Another success for DH 🥳 Latest news on G is that the breathing tube has been removed, she is fully awake & has managed to whisper 😊 I was a bit naughty & spent the last 40 minutes completing the puzzles in my magazine 😉 Will try to concentrate now & catch up with the cheerleading 🤞
Blue_Doggy, I have copied the sign to my Notes App & will look at it each morning to try & get motivated for the day ahead 🤞Excellent decluttering of the contents of boxes from the Room of Doom 👏 Fingers crossed that you can get a refund for the kettle especially now that you have found the receipt 🤞
TC77, I think I might get disheartened if I netted off ins & outs 😅 but as you say EnergyShifter is very disciplined 👏 I love the flower arranging, unfortunately I am a ‘bung it in the vase’ type of person - no patience & currently no inclination either 😂 I hope the furniture renovation meets with your approval 🤞 Seems DD1 has not had any luck with her flat hunting yet, as she is talking about moving her belongings into your house 😔 Fingers crossed that the sink is behaving itself 🤞😉
ScarletRibbons, I too love cats ……………. but other people’s 😂
TC77, spring cleaning IS a great aspiration 🙂 but for me I think ANY cleaning might be a good start 🤣
~FlowerPot~ what a lovely post 😊 Hope you managed to get your DD up before the window fitters turned up 🤞 Good luck with the decluttering, tidying & cleaning 🍀 Re the trousers that have ‘shrunk’ - perhaps keep your favourite pair out as an incentive 🤔
Excellent decluttering Florenceem 👏 Just noticed how well you are doing on your monthly challenge & how close you are to your 2023 items out target 🤩
wort, thank you for the gentle reminder about sorting out finances, bill paying etc & getting everything put in joint names if possible 👏 DH & I are sadly remiss in this area so I know that we really have to knuckle down & get everything done sooner rather than later ☹️
Florenceem, fingers crossed that the first company you phone are both understanding & helpful 🤞
Well said 2Scratters & thanks for the reminder to take before & after photos 👏 Excellent work in your garden & well done on getting 3 log stores sorted out 👏 One Gold Star ⭐️ ⭐️ each for you & DH 😊
I have just seen the time so will post this & come back after dinner which tonight is our penultimate HF meal of burgers & coleslaw.

Florenceem, so pleased to hear the Mr F was in a chair and able to have a conversation, thats brilliant, I hope his good progress continues xSo 3 of the 4 new windows are in and looking really lovely. I took the opportunity to give their room a jolly good clean, moving all the furniture out and then I had the bright idea of moving the room round
3 hours later!!!!! looks so much better, I just need to get them to sort through a large pile of bits.
Plus lego, what on earth, we have boxes and boxes which need to go, but not sure the best way to try and sell it????Had a good day, also managed 2 loads of washing and line dried and listed a 2 itmes for sale and some work on my side hustle woohoo!!♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

Finished work for the week at lunchtime 🤩. Popped to the shops to buy some trainers this afternoon - no luck - came back with a very posh toilet brush instead
. I managed to resist the urge to buy things from the CS. I've now got 3 days off & no plans other than Church on Sunday - the weather forecast doesn't look great so I may have another restful weekend.
Tasks:
0
IN (running total 76)
77. Kitchen Clock
78. Posh toilet brush
OUT (running total 327)
328. Old kitchen clock (never kept time well)
329. Scarf
330. Hat
331. mini - Frying pan (what was I thinking?)
Florenceem - such good news
Floss & Vulpix: gorgeous cats! Can't resist adding our boy - he will be 17 soon! He's gone deaf and has the noisiest yowl ever! Some of my clients think they can hear a child in the background of our calls - I have started to explain in advance so they don't think I'm a neglectful grandparent!!

Hi all, I spent most of the day drinking coffee and chatting
. As the union meeting was cancelled we didn't leave the coffee shop until 4.30 and arrangements have been made for a repeat in a couple of weeks
When I got home all I did was deadhead some dandelions. The weather was glorious with blue skies that made me think of summer though I did have to keep my fleece on.
Back on the plan tomorrow
Hugs to everyone who would like one
Take care everyone

1036 - 1040 Kitchen recycling, paper packaging, cardboard packaging, drinks cans, plastic bottle - recycled
1041 Kitchen detritus binned
fritzie-65, love the descriptions - wheelie bin Wednesday, Turbo lag Thursday & Fling Friday 🙂 Good luck with Operation Persuasion 🍀 You do know of course that when you start clearing the garage, DH will claim it was his idea 🤣🙃
Wednesday2000, maybe the makers of the cat bed thought it was a genius design & people would just buy a new one 🤨 Good luck with your shed sort out 🍀
~FlowerPot~ hopefully they will get all the windows done in one day 🤞 so your dog only has to put up with strange men for one day 😊
vulpix, thanks for the gratuitous cat photo - lovely blue eyes 🙂 Hope you enjoyed your day in the garden 😊
GrannyKate, I imagine childcare doesn’t leave much time for pets 😔
Liverpool_Anne, looked at another way you have under estimated time/task ratio 😉 Great work decluttering & cleaning especially the log burner 👏 Well done on persevering with BT 🙂 perhaps you can declutter some extra wires that you don’t need or want 😉 Lovely supportive post 😊
Florenceem, sorry to hear that the utility companies are being less than helpful 😔 Although it was nice of the water company to give you a month’s grace 🙂 Something that just came to mind was perhaps the Citizens Advice Bureau can help?
regnbue, sounds like a nightmare dealing with BT ☹️ I think in any other circumstance that would be called harassment 😖
Excellent work in your DD’s room QueenJess 👏 I hope you took a photo 😉 Perhaps until you are fully caught up on your sleep, you could slow down a little 🙏
Excellent work in your garden Soontobeoap 👏 Don’t forget the massage chair in the TLC Carriage - should ease your back a little 😉
Brie, you could always return the new pad of A3 Watercolour paper & get a refund 😉 Thank you for the excellent & useful information Brie 👏
Sorry to hear about the car Dfw38 😔 Hopefully it can be repaired quickly & inexpensively🤞 Great news from HMRC & what a relief 👏 I hope they are putting it in writing 🙂 Just wondering if you had your phone insured? Fingers crossed that Sunday is cool & dry for the marathon 🤞
Excellent work Rootle 👏
QueenJess, love it 😍 Everything crossed that DH gets the entire list done 🤞 Please let us know how he gets on & let me know if he does enough to earn a medal 😉
What excellent news Florenceem 😊 Especially the request for his Bible and a newspaper 😊
Brie, not nagging just reminding 🙂
~FlowerPot~ what a good day you had 😊 I take it your DD did sit with the dog until the window fitters left - after all you got so much done 👏 Good luck with however you decide to deal with the excess Lego 🍀
Excellent decluttering short_bird 👏
Great decluttering EnergyShifter 👏 I am especially impressed that you resisted the lure of the CS 👏😊 Absolutely gorgeous cat 😻
Liverpool_Anne, sometimes you just have to grab the opportunity to drink coffee & chat with friends 😊Sounds like you had a lovely time 😊
Night, night 🙂

Wet day here - I put the recycling and bins out last night when it was dry.
Decluttered 55 items for today - I have a trolley full and a bag to take to charity shops today.
I have moved a lot of the stuff from the kitchen worktops into the cupboard that I cleared and cleaned yesterday. It is lovely to see clear spaces in my kitchen. Still more to do but a big improvement.
I haven't got a lift organised for today yet but if I can't get hold of J - my SA officers have said they will take me. My daughter will collect me.
I will pop in the SA on my way to town.
Just praying that Mr F is still improving today.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
