Up until now I have been getting rid of stuff that I had dumped in my craft room. Now I have decluttered some stuff from the utility area aka garage. I am going to empty the big utility area cupboard and declutter - then I can put stuff in it - that I want to keep that is residing in the kitchen at the moment.
Trolley full and a big bag of stuff leaving the house today.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Florenceem I hope today brings answers for you, take care of yourself.
love the flowers and cat, great postcard with a a good sentiment.
If I can just add for everyone living with partners, to make sure all bills etc are in both names, and you both know passwords to online accounts wether it be utilities or banks.
It is very distressing if you need to ring any of these and they wish to speak to the account holder, when anything has happened to the partner. Either them being ill or in my case after they die. They are not the most sympathetic in some cases.
A beautiful day today hoping for a walk to declutter some weight before summer.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.20 -
wort - I am going to phone the first company when I get back from town - hope they are helpful. I echo what you said about joint names. Mr F kept everything in his name as he was running a business.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

@TC77 empathy re your llbs decluttering - however please remember physical declutter is also a weight loss (shoulders and our heads). I am honestly getting better results with the physical loss as it is instant! It can been seen instantly, take a photo if needed first
it is keeping us moving and we are getting free exercise. Even when we are sat and sorting it is looking after our arms and head and when a batch is finished we breath deeply with a sigh of relief and have that Mona Lisa smile to ourselves.
The birds around our garden are busy still collecting for nesting - looks like I'll be getting another donation from my girl dog by brushing her bloomers and pegging out the excess for them to collect.
Did 2 large wash loads yesterday and had to put some back in the wash due to the constant flyovers and them leaving trails of poo
We completed over the back of the fence yesterday. Both log stores full (we now have 3 in total) The ground has been made a little more level. Striking some of the ivy off the trees (the ivy is as thick as some of the tree trunks as they are not a very large species of tree) as they are being strangulated and the life is being sucked from them. This will in turn make them more likely to land in our garden and increase the potential of damage. I helped by moving our "waste" Indian and Yorkshire flagging off cuts and several bags of wet sand to help fill and level out whilst DH was on his knees laying a dry stone edging and building up a "patio". Looks so much better being tidy, that is until the blackbirds get in there and do their flicking around looking for grubs - of which there is plenty. The old and rotted pallets have been cut down to size for the log burner and the larger bits will be dried out for the fire pit I intend us using this year, it has been stood on its side for nearly 8 years
3 very large (blue plastic stuff) sheets have been folded and tidied away as potentially needed for the extension work - when it starts.
Think I'll give DH a lighter day with his jobs todayWe are off to a sunny start with highs of 15 - we'll take that.
@Florenceem thankyou for the daily updates re Mr F. I am supporting you from here.
Hugs to all who need them. Keep safe
2 Scratters xx

Morning all,
Yesterday was Wheelie Bin Wednesday down our way so the general waste bin was filled to bursting and the lid just shut phew ! full of glump as we call it in our household.Plus the second collection was paper and cardboard and that was also packed full.
Today I have a mild case of Turbo Lag Thursday but I am sure I will pick up after a cuppa and get stuff sorted for tomorrow's round of Fling Friday.
Just introduced the idea of clearing out the garage and going through stuff after the weekend to OH and was met with a 1000 and 1 reasons not to but I will slip the idea softly, into conversation again next week once I have made a list of potential sale items.
Group hugs to all have a good end of the week and weekend.
Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out.Thats what I keep telling myself :-)18 -
I had to brush one of my cats the other day as she is elderly and can't clean herself that well. The amount of fur that came off her was unbelievable! I think I will have to do it once a week at least from now on. They are both short hair cats but my other cat doesn't need grooming at all. I put the brush downstairs in a box next to her cat bed so I remember to do it. The cat bed needs taking outside and cleaning too. I will do it when the weather warms up more. I need to look on YT to see how to clean a cat bed without putting it in the washing machine. I didn't notice that it doesn't have a removable cover until about a month after I bought it. Stupid design.
I have ordered an outdoor shelf from Amazon to organise my little shed a bit. I will do that today if it arrives early enough. I know I have some empty paint cans that I'm hoping my brother can take to the tip when he comes round next weekend as the man from the council told me that was where you take them to be recycled when he was here the other day. I have to check if you have to book a space for the tip actually. I'm not sure if there is anything else that needs decluttering from the shed, but I will look through the garden boxes too. I need to jet wash the decking as well, but I might do that tomorrow.17 -
goodness, the window men are here and teas and coffees given, they seem nice enough, but it is weird having people you dont know in the house and the dog is hating it. Hes so nervous anyway, hes literally shaking and wont settle. I think I am going to have to sit on the sofa all day with him!! Ive put some music on to help drown out the noises, but you cant get away from it!!In good news DD has actually got up and before 9.30, that's miracle!! Hoping she might sit with dog in a bit so I can get on. Otherwise my plans of a tidying up and clearing away day will be sadly lost!♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

Good morning. I have thoroughly caught up now. How could I have missed such a lovely kitty, she is beautiful. ❤️It amused me that your dog has bloomers 2scratters. Some do though don’t they. I will titter now every time I see one.Wherever my long haired cat sleeps, when she gets up there are lumps of fur left behind. This time of year she has to have a trim of the places she can’t reach. As we seem to be animal lovers, have a gratuitous photo of my son’s cat.Another day in the garden for me to make the most of the lovely weather.Take care chums, particularly Dfw38 and Florenceem.Oh, I will get onto putting utilities into joint names.Vx:23

Loving the cat pictures. No pets here now and I sometimes miss the company. This weeks plans have largely not happened because of extra childcare. Need to spend some calendar updating time to keep on track.
