I took lots of stuff to the charity shops today - spread it around three shops. Popped in SA on my way home to collect posters advertising the next table top sale. Mr F usually distributes them but I will take them round the shops tomorrow.
I am getting lots of decluttering done as I can't settle to read or craft.

Have had a very busy day catching uo on chores left for 3 weeks since we first had covid. Energy seems to be back and I have been like a duracell bunny.
1) car decluttered back to enterprise. It has been 12 weeks since ours was crashed into and garage have decided to lend us one of theirs so hopefully this might speed things up.
2)all ironing up to date and I was absolutely ruthless with odd socks and mended to death underwear. 1 carrier bag full disposed of.
3) I changed a very tricky light bulb. It is a bathroom one with a light bulb type screw on cover and then a halogen bulb inside. I am always worried unscrewing and screwing the cover in case it cross threads and breaks. Anyway once I got ladder from shed and completed task it took half an hour so being counted.
I think that the sunshine has inspired me again.

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off -
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Yesterday DH arrived home about 18:50 as he hit traffic on the M25. Dinner was from the chippy - DH & I shared a kebab, DSis had fish’n’chips. Wultd.
Wednesday I was up & dressed by 11:05. It is dull & overcast with a strong wind☹️ The wheelie bin has been emptied & I have put a new bag in.
1012 - 1016 Kitchen recycling, large plastic bottle, torn paper bag, drinks cans, cardboard box - recycled
1017 Kitchen detritus binned
Yippee, I am half way to target so am awarding myself a Gold Star ⭐️
Florenceem, you & DH had a very tiring day yesterday but I am very pleased to hear that MrF was fully aware of who you are. Hopefully all these tests are building a picture & the doctors will soon be able to make an informed diagnosis & start a proper treatment plan 🤞 Sorry to hear that you were too exhausted to attend the prayer meeting.
Lovely supportive post vulpix 😊 Thanks for the reminder re sorting out passwords etc 👏 Lovely reminiscences about your ‘biker chick’ days 😁 - although not the same as riding, you could always ride pillion - you just need to find a gorgeous young biker 😉 Excellent decluttering of ‘vulpix Towers estate’ 👏 I think you probably need Tom & Luke Stoltman to turn up - they will shift the giant concrete slabs in no time & can use it as training for the World’s Strongest Man competition 😉
QueenJess, fingers crossed that DD continues her recovery & allows you to get some rest & sleep 🤞Excellent digital decluttering 👏 You need to spend some time in the TLC Carriage sleeper section 🙏Is there any chance at all of DH taking charge of child care for this coming weekend? 🤞
-taff, your poor dad ☹️
Dfw38, so pleased to hear that your dad’s funeral went so well & although a very sad day it was also a celebration of his life. Taking flowers to your brother & sister’s grave was a very lovely thing for you, DH & DB to do. Everything crossed that your sister continues to behave herself over the coming months. Hugs to you & your DB & DH 🤗
Excellent decluttering Blue_Doggy 👏 you definitely have your decluttering mojo back 😊 So much so that I am awarding you a medal 🏅 to encourage you to keep going 😊
Lovely post TC77 & your thanks are gratefully received ☺️ I am still surprised at how fast the the EDT is moving compared to last year 😯 We didn’t reach p370 until the middle of August 🤩 Excellent decluttering 👏 & what a beautiful flower arrangement 😻 Hopefully now that your DB realises how much there is still left to do at your dad’s house he might pitch in a bit more rather than leaving it all to you to sort out 🤞
vulpix, Lovely sentiments for Florenceem 😊
Great work TC77 👏 Fingers crossed that you can get the sink sorted 🤞
Liverpool_Anne, sorry to hear that OH is unwell 🤒 Although I see that he still managed to find the energy to complain 😞 Well done on your successful shopping trip 👏 I think Boots is quite expensive now as I seem to have hazy memories of it being reasonably priced in the dim & distant past, although that could just be wishful thinking 😉 Sorry to hear that you are feeling overwhelmed by the amount of decluttering you have to do BUT you have taken an enormous leap forward towards success by spending time on such comprehensive planning 👏 One medal 🏅 on its way 🙂 Also well done on rewarding yourself for such great work by settling down to some crocheting 👏
GrannyKate, sorry to hear that ex DiL is unwell 🤒 & fingers crossed for a speedy recovery 🤞 Good job you around to help take care of the DGC 😊 Great work dealing with the frog immediately 👏 I really hope that it gave you a great sense of satisfaction 🤞
Brie, thanks for the great tip 👏
Excellent decluttering Florenceem 👏 Hugs to you & MrF 🤗
Soontobeoap, pleased to hear that you are recovering well from your bout of Covid 😊 Excellent work dealing with various tasks 👏 I do hope someone was with you when you were up the ladder 🤞
DH & DSis are both up now & the sun is finally making a bid to come out from behind the clouds 🙂Who knows, DH & I might even do some more work in the garden 😅

I still feel utterly exhausted. DD is getting a bit better each day and is back at nursery, but is still a bit withdrawn and easily tired so I've been picking her up early. It is definitely getting better, but is very tiring to deal with. I'm not sure how long it takes to catch up on at least 5 days of no sleep, but I feel no better yet. I've been getting DH to take DD and DS to bed every evening so I can lie in bed and he brings me my dinner (although I have to organise what we are having and provide instructions).I am taking a few breaks from the TLC carriage to very slowly get the tidying under control and re-start the odd bit of decluttering. Feel overwhelmed and out of control, so am trying to ignore it all and just do a tiny bit each day until hopefully it feels under control again. It is that time again where DD is growing out of her clothes although it's always a bit of a mix of two sizes for a while. I will do the change there slowly as it takes an inordinate amount of time! After the last week I feel the need to declutter more than ever. I don't mind spending time looking after things that I love and things I need, but outside of that it all has to go. Identifying said things when you are a way down the decluttering path already is a bit more of a challenge. I usually end up going through the things that bug me most, or are most untidy as they are likely the things that need a declutter.I have been following the thread, but too knackered to reply to everyone. I will provide a lovely selection box of biscuits for the TLC carriage if anyone wants any. Anyway, enough waffling and onto decluttering for today:Digital:

The sun inspired me as well so I went out in garden - mainly tidying up and more to do but pleased with progress
540 Greenhouse emptied, washed down and put back differently
541 General garden tidy out back. Weeds, leaves, old plants from last year etc in recycling
542 Broken bits in bin
543 Weeded out front this evening
Took DGCs swimming after school. They have now gone to park with neighbour - it is a lovely evening. DS2 built new desk for DGD4 so hopefully her craft things will get stashed on shelves underneath and computer can go on desk. Feel a bit tired probably due to swimming 2 days in a row. There is a pile of clothes to put away so I'd better get on with that.2025 Decluttering Campaign 697/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

@floss that made me chuckle. My jumper defluffer ran out of battery today and I have got to wait untill I go shopping again. Absolutely hate leaving a job half done as it could be another month before I get round to it! 🤦♀️
@brie I would love to do your light bulb but it is a bit scary. 4 years ago DH tried to change the light bulb in one of my beautiful, expensive, carefully chosen kitchen ceiling lights! It had a huge glass cover over a normal bulb. From another room I heard the smash. Not quite a del boy chandelier moment but almost!!!! It took me ages to find absolutely enormous bulbs that give the same effect. DH was forgiven bit since then I have taken it upon myself to change the ones with covers! 😂
Give it a go. I thunk it needs a lighter more delicate hand. 😊craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,
