Just popping in to send many hugs to Dfw38, I'm so sorry that you are having to deal with your sisters nonsense too 🧡
MrsSD you take every opportunity to keep hugging DH. I hope he goes from strength to strength especially with you keeping an eye on him 🤗 Make every moment count, I am with my DH as we don't know how much time he has left. (I apologise I got a bit deep there) Btw there's always all sorts of cake in the TLC carriage 🍰🍩🍪🎂 and plenty of tea/coffee or a cocktail or two.
This afternoon DH let go an old frying pan without my nagging 😲 Tea was lo roast lunch from yesterday, waste not want not. We also finished my chocs and the box has hit the recycling.
Hugs to all. NanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently16 -

Completely unplanned but spent a couple of hours in the office and generally did some reorganising. Bit of hoovering and dusting. 2 boxes of shredding into recycling and I bag of rubbish removed. Also 3 items listed in Olio. Very pleased. There’s a lot of files to go through but they belong to DH.

Thank you @GrannyKate, @Florenceem@vulpix . I'm hoping it doesn't take to long and we can enjoy it by summer.Dfw38, sending hugs x
A busyish day, still a few too many tea breaks.First lot of 23 minutes (I like 23 minutes, doesn't seem as bad as 30) in the conservatory flattening boxes into recycle bin.
Second lot of 23 in conservatory flattening boxes into recycle bin (now full) and sorting some bits into bin. Had a few minutes left so opened the outside door and started flattening dome boxes from that end ready for next time, not counted in numbers yet.Another 23 minutes sweeping hoovering, mopping Hall, stairs and landing emptied bins and some rubbish to bins before shopping comes later. Then the girls came home and I told them to do 20 minutes before they went on games. They both argued that there was nowhere to put all the stuff on the floor, that they didn'thave enough storage even thoughi was tryingto tell them most of it was clothes and rubbish! So out came my 23 minutes timer (watch timer is set to that now 😂) picked up all rubbish, moved all washing (most still clean and folded but now covered in dog hair) brought all pots down, put away bed and bedding from dd3 friend staying the weekend and then brought all rubbish down. I didn't even 'put anything away' but it looks so much better already. The smashed tablet was a hudl one bought christmas 2013 or 14 when they first came out for DS2. He dropped it down the stairs and smashed it about 5 days after christmas (probably the only time I wish I'd bought insurance). It never worked again. Why, WHY is it still on the shelf 10 years later! I have serious issues. The charger will still be somewhere as wasn't with it.Shopping arrived and put away about 8 and the driver has just been back with a tray he'd forgotten, I hadn't even noticed.

@Dfw38...hugs and thinking of you... so difficult when loved ones refuse food and fluid, please take care of yourself
Mrs SD, I was imagining Mr SD having bed rest but off on his walks very impressive ....and brilliant about his heart rate!
Thank you for my gold star.. a real incentive. Just written my urgent calls/frogs for tomorrow.
Long day in town office interviewing but hope that with this and more recruitment in April the two of us doing 2 people's jobs each may have an easier time.

Cancelled DD1 Pip meeting (still need to rearrange)
Another email helping DD1 give notice on her flat (she's procrastinated).
spent 20 mins looking for sellotape - have several rolls, found and put it and parcel tape and scissors together. Currently things kept in too many different rooms that should be together. @charlies_tribe.. sounds like you've made good progress, and I love using photos before and during to keep me going, 45015 -
Hi all, I used to work in a special school and our team enterprise group went to an Easter fair, I went to help. On one of the other stalls I found this alongside a lot of other perfect chicks. I just had to buy it as it made me laugh and I thought we all have days like that
. I hope it brings a smile to your faces

Very good news @MrsSD
I hope Mr SD can now remain well. It is a thought that that he is probably fitter than he might have been with his walking and hope that will make his recovery even quicker. Humongous hugs to you both.
Glad you got a little break @vulpix. Very jealous re Kaffe Fassett exhibition. Please take care of yourselves. I hope the funeral goes smoothly and all your preps appreciated.
Thankyou for your kind words and medals @Mrs_Salad_DodgerIt was a labour of love that swing.
Aah yes @charlies_tribe . I have a room that looks just like that but it is waiting while I stick to photo sorting and family shenanigans. It will still be there next month, lol. Many sympathiesA sure case for 'eating the elephant' if ever there was one.
Well done with the bunny bags @Florenceem It must be very satisfying that they are selling like hot rabbits.
Huge warm hugs @Dfw38 I have no words.
Popping in after a busy few days.
I had lovely Mother's Day, spending part of it with my DiL who is have her second one but having separated from DS1 she was going to be mostly alone. We went to a local petting zoo and had a great time. Home to spend time with DD FiL and MiL over a roast dinner.
Monday I spent more time with DD sitting watching Kdramas. She was feeling awful with a heavy cold. I had a brief visit from vulpix with some stuff for me to distribute.
I met up Partner of Big Sister at Cosyco. He is hoping to raise money by doing renting a room out on a AiryBandB as Dsis death left a financial problem. He is in good spirits.
While there I bumped into an old colleague and we had a great catch up and chat. I had sort of stopped seeing her when I retired along with many other people I knew. Lots of drama in her life, almost as much as mine.
Monday night I took DD back to Manchester as she was feeling better. It also gave me an opportunity to drop in on SiL who collapsed Sunday night after having too much alchohol thanks to a local 'friend' She is in fact ok.
Right. I am ready for some sleep as I have childcare duties in the morning.
Hugs and positive thoughts to all.
