Moorviews - you are brave purging fabric and wool.
Been to Church - all ladies were given a plant. I don't do plants so it didn't even enter the house - I walked along to a neighbour and gifted it to her.
Had a visit from middle Dd - she has taken 2 baskets of Easter makes - hopefully some will sell at her school.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

The Dilly book was interesting and I will definitely go back to the book and try the exercises she mentioned. I can really relate to what she said about growing up in a chaotic environment as well as having a mother with mental health issues and I do get stressed if things aren't exactly how I want them now as an adult. She did have some helpful tips. She did say about playing the Mins game too which I know some of you on here have tried.
Apart from the obvious waiting to get building work done, my main bugbear for my home at the moment is that my kitchen and bathroom and part of my living room have not been decorated. My garden needs some work too now as we removed some of the decking and we need to arrange a bulky waste collection when everything is done. The kitchen will probably need a lot of work too because of the damp problem.
Anyway, I tried to look at the rest of my house without those glaring issues to see what little things I can do to make myself feel better living here!
1. I put away my husband's coat and bag in his wardrobe as he leaves them in the living room and it irritates me.
2. I put my rebounder/mini trampoline upstairs in the office up against the wall as I don't think I will be using it for a few days and it feels very intrusive having it downstairs. I am debating whether to sell or donate it. I wish I had bought a fold up one. I'm not sure I really need it with the amount of walking I do now I live by the coast and have a Fitbit. Hmm.
3. I looked in the under the stairs cupboard and I have so many plastic bags. I did the trick where you fold them up (like a triangle, a samosa?) while I was watching YT and that really freed up a lot more space. The bags for life I folded too and managed to fit them all in a box in the kitchen drawer next to the torches.
4. The decorator left all his paint, brushes etc.. in the shed and they are in front of the recycling bin so I put them the other way around. I did find one of my lipbalms on the floor of the shed. No idea how that got there. Totally weird!

Today was a bit of a damp squib! Found it hard to get moving this morning - made it to the later service in church, then felt tired again so went back to bed - DS was planning to take me to lunch so pulled myself together to go for lunch for Mother's Day - but all of the trains into Town were cancelled due to "animals on the line"!!!
- had a walk in Greenwich instead. Feel better now than I've felt all day.
Decided to retrieve a jumper that I'd put in the CS shop bag so have adjusted numbers accordingly.

Had a visit from youngest Ds - got lots of goodies - food wise as pressies.
No decluttering has happened so day 19 is stuck on yesterday's numbers.

I am loving the photos of recent makes, you clever people.Phew. Marathon this afternoon at my Mum’s. 2 car loads of mine and DD1’s stuff taken home. Visited Mum and nephew and family were there. Got a bit of practice in with baby cuddles. We have sorted. Huge amount of stuff for the chazzer. Found a scrap of material from DD’s prom dress. We are too tired today to put the stuff in our loft. It will be temporary. Well a few years!

Glad Mr SD is home safe and sound!
I am so in awe of all the making, I have so much craft stuff and quite incompetent but enjoy trying when I have time, or I assume I will do when I find time
DD can't find a flat but explained needs to give notice as landlords want people to move straight away and can't afford an overlap more than min, she is superstressed at the thought of being homeless (which she won't be (fingers crossed), and can stay at my dad's house which is empty when not on placement, but won't stay with me. We took her broken chest of drawers to the tip (they were much nicer this visit and believed my passport and council tax were under the drawers so couldn't show them, so good that's gone, Someone took my desk via a freesite, - still have my computer in my bedroom on basis not moving it when I'll get desk from my dad's. Good to get it sorted.
2 plastic wallets - have so many folders etc and thought why have ones that just about do but are broken!

vulpix - I made all my 3 daughter's ball gowns when they were at uni - still got bits of fabric - so can see which girl had a velvet dress or a shot silk one etc.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Great news Mrs SD that Mr SD is home. Best wishes for his having no more “turns”. Look after yourself, too, after the shock and worry you’ve just had. 💐 (I hope you haven’t decluttered all your vases yet!)
@Happy_Kitties love the “executive decision” made by your cats!
In between being busy with RL things, and Canine Doggy having a tummy upset since Wednesday (no accidents but several visits to the garden in the small hours, and even a couple of 3 am walks (will have to visit vet during the week if no improvement soon)). I haven’t managed to do much more than keep things just about ticking over.Tiny bit of declutterisation:
- birthday card to friend
- cardboard box to recycling bin
- 6 books (broken, out-of-date, or poor condition) to recycling
- humorous plaque to CS box
- 5 greetings cards (which I can’t think who to send to) to CS box
23-minuter
- cleared one third of the dining table and took a pile of stuff to the Room of Doom (temporarily I hope)
Best wishes to all for the strength and courage to get through what ever is ahead this week.“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️
