Monday 11:00 It was lovely waking up next to DH 😊 Although I am now slumping & teary as it has finally hit me that I might have lost him. So to remind myself to get back to yesterday’s feelings I am posting what I wrote yesterday
“ I cannot get over how happy I am that DH is home 🥳 I am smiling so much that my face is aching 😉 & energised enough to do some cheerleading 😉
TC77, with all that has been going on with you & your DDs, I am not surprised that life is a bit chaotic 😔 However, excellent decluttering & tidying & as a slight incentive to keep going I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ Sounds like you had a lovely evening out at the theatre on Friday 😊
How annoying to lose a big post vulpix 😖 DH is currently chatting to his sister (phone) & I can almost feel her relief that her baby brother is fine 😮💨
Thank you for your kind wishes bit_by_bit 😊 Excellent decluttering 👏 Well done to your DH & DS1 for building the bespoke swing under your expert guidance of course 👏 One medal each 🏅🏅🏅Pleased to hear that the weather was pleasant enough for you & DS2 to work on the allotment 😊👏Fingers crossed that you are all feeling less exhausted today 🤞Also very well done on continuing to resist the lure of the CS & keeping your money safely in your purse 👏😁
I have stopped at 16:50 as I cannot seem to concentrate & keep going upstairs to check on & get hugs from DH 😊
Back again @ 22:51 - Chinese takeaway for DSis, Indian for DH & me. All of the meals will be for tomorrow as well. DSis treated us to trifle for afters. Still grinning from ear to ear that DH is home 😊 Wudupa”
I think what I will do now is drink my tea & wallow for a while in the TLC Carriage 😉 Anyone know if there is any lemon cheesecake? 😅

Mrs SD sorry to hear DH has been ill but is now back home. Hope he recovers quickly x
We should have been doing our room this week while DH is off but there's still bits to finish in the boys room and they still have some things in the living room. So while DH finishes those bits I've decided to keep my mind busy by starting on the conservatory! It's quite a large conservatory and I can't even get in the door.
I'm going to post a picture to keep me accountable but it was taken after the first 23 minute burst with DD 2 helping me delabelling and flattening 18 cardboard boxes (most from christmas deliveries) as the recycling bin goes out tomorrow so filling it up.
Can't believe I'm actually going to post it for everyone to see, real hoarders photo 🙈😱

Dropped car off early for MOT and service - fingers crossed. Going round local coop in a bit otherwise nowhere to go really. Meeting Tuesday and doctors Wednesday and DD is coming tomorrow. I've actually done some cleaning. @charlies_tribe - that will be a lovely space when it is cleared. You are so brave to photograph it - will look forward to the 'after' pictures.
425-426 At least twenty things found to just put away
427 Bathrooms cleaned, bins emptied, mirrors cleaned, tat binned
428 Two bedrooms cleaned, bins emptied, mirrors cleaned, tat binned. Bed made up with fresh linen for DD
429 Wardrobe emptied and reorganised - deferred decision boxes still in there.
430 Three bags of stuff ready for DD - towels, coin for DGS1 and jigsaw for her mil.
431 Cardboard recycled from Mother's Day plant from DS1 and family
432 Living rooms vacuumed but more work to do. Need to reorganise DGS4's toy area

Sorry to say I'm skipping over 30 pages of your no doubt very interesting posts having been on holiday for the last 10 days.
I'd like to say I decluttered a lot while away but you know that can't be true. I did purposely take 2 old pairs of knickers that have not returned home but I also acquired a new cardigan and 3 tops (C&A!) and a new silk scarf (Dresden opera!!!) and a wildly expensive pair of earrings - something I never do is spend money on myself but these were a lovely pair of hand made silver ones being sold by the woman who made them and I could not resist.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Monday 13:20 - DH has just set off on a mini walk - aiming for 3,000 steps. It took him 10 minutes to get out of the door as I kept giving him hugs - I need to make up for the 72 hours of missed hugs 😉DSis has just made herself a bacon sandwich & I have put the hm soup on to heat up. DH can count himself lucky that he is getting to taste it as I was sorely tempted to have a couple of bowls full yesterday 🤣
Wow grandmanerd, you continue to amaze me at how much you get done 🤩 Not only did you have a very busy Friday decluttering & tidying but you did nearly all of it alone - just one trip upstairs out of 5 with DS3 carrying bags for you 😔 - no wonder you were exhausted on Saturday 😩 I do worry that you are doing way too much & really wish that DS3 & Beloved would help you a lot more 😔 I also really, really hope that if you did move your bed on Saturday that you got assistance from DS3 🤞 By the way, I was very impressed with how MSE you were when buying boxes to fit your cube shelves 👏 You must have saved hundreds of £££s 😊
Thanks diminua 🙂 It might have taken 72 hours to get DH home but another case of the NHS at its finest 👏 It is lovely to see you 👋 Your cousins employer sounds like the very worse sort of employer - taking advantage of their employees 😡 Hopefully your gentle push back re dog sitting so often will help & encourage your cousin to start pushing back 🤞 If your cousin is in a union it might be an idea to have a chat with the union rep. If she is not in a union, it might be an idea to document all the instances of last minute work &have a chat with HR or whatever it is called nowadays. As you say, your dog sitting is starting to become a chore rather than a pleasant interlude & doing a favour for your cousin 😔 Great decluttering especially the broken vacuum 👏 I am a bit sad that PaperChase is now defunct as although I didn’t visit often I used to enjoy the occasional half hour wandering around looking at all the beautiful & good quality stationery 🙂 Priding myself on only buying a couple of items each time (whether I needed them or not 😂) rather than having to take out a second mortgage 🤣 Well done on not delaying your trip out for the new vacuum cleaner - one medal 🏅 coming your way 👏
Fayolle, sorry to hear that RL reared it’s head again ☹️ but well done on catching up with reading the posts 👏 You leave that duvet cover alone 😉😂 Great work clearing a couple of MMiM 👏 Of course you now have an extra MMiM - 23 minutes a day practising your piano skills then DH can take his eye off the piano as an object for decluttering 😂 As to the plastic lids escaping the Big Cull, it is another one of those ‘Great Decluttering Mysteries’ 😉 Thank you for my flowers 😊
So very sorry to hear about your dad, Dfw38 😢 Lots of hugs for you & your family 🤗 and I will be thinking of you. Please take care & try to give yourself at least a little TLC.
Well done on resisting temptation bit_by_bit 🙂
vulpix, I never cease to be amazed at the artistic talent & crafting skills that so many of our declutterers have 🤩 Who knew that Duvet covers could be put to so many uses - pyjamas, curtains, Prom dresses 😊 I am keeping everything crossed that you can post a photo of DD1’s Prom dress 🤞she obviously takes after you with her sewing skills 😊 I had almost forgotten about the rocking chair renovation 😉Well done on persevering & hopefully your next renovation project will be easier 🤞🙂
A busy Saturday EnergyShifter 👏
Another page caught up so I think perhaps I ought to get dressed & potter for a few minutes 😉

charlies_tribe - small steps - taking photos as you go helps.
Great news that Mr SD is home.
I finished reading another book last night but can't count it as I bought it this month to complete the series in my stock of books. Books do leave for the cs as soon as I have read them.
Dd text me - all 8 bunny bags that she took into the school staff room sold before lunch. Now - 15 left to sell. I have packaged my makes to keep clean and for good presentation.

Thank you all so much for your kind words, hugs and thoughts, they really have made a difference over the weekend. Once again the support on here is amazing and I feel truly humbled to have this 'army' behind me. Feeling overwhelmed with the whole situation really, which is made worse by my sister up to her tricks again. Thankfully my brother and I are united and are trying to deter her from her actions. She has been to the hospital and pestering dad if he has a will. (We know he doesn't, no idea why she is doing this) and last night she asked me if it was too late to get dad to do one! (Basically she wants the house).
The doctors have updated my brother this afternoon that as dad is refusing food and having minimal fluid, it is likely that we have less than a month. The plan is to make him as comfortable as possible for however long he has left. I am going to try and keep busy because I don't know what else to do to be honest! Everytime I stop I burst into tears so keeping busy is the way forward I think. Painted the 2nd coat of paint on the ceiling today and sewed 3 badges onto dds beaver jumper. Tonight I am going to do the first coat of paint on ds walls- a nice cheerful bright blue (Nordic skies). Plenty to be getting on with.
So happy to hear that Mr SD is back with you!

Sending love DFW. Xxx
on the way home from Nottingham. The sitting room is now empty. Went via bit by bit’s house and dropped off another car load of mine and DD1’s stuff that had been stored in my Mother’s front bedroom. Bit by bit is an absolute hero for helping me distribute stuff to the right recipients. Filled about 10 boxes today from the sitting room. Some stuff to bring home and a big box with paper and photos to sort in the future. When we get home we have stuff to put in our loft. Yay! Taking DD to Sheffield tomorrow then back to the bungalow in Nottingham for the last push in the kitchen.Charlie’s tribe. I am sure you will be enjoying all the space in the conservatory soon.I hope Mr SD continues to be spoiled.Vx:14 -

Monday 14:18 DH just got back having done 4,500 steps. Pulse rate never went above 78 & that was when he was going up stairs. I did get dressed, DH’s hospital bag is unpacked & everything put away. I also dismantled a cardboard box & recycled it along with paper packaging & the 6 foil containers from last nights takeaway. We are now having our bowls of soup & DH agrees that it is delicious 🤤Apparently there is a ‘secret ingredient’ ………. a tablespoon of peanut butter 😉 16:10 DH has left for his 2nd walk. Going via the surgery to hand in a letter thanking the Doctor who gave him such good advice about going straight to A&E 😊 DH now has a spreadsheet for his walking so that he knows his new daily step count to catch up on the missing days. 16:50 DH just phoned - note dropped off at surgery & heart rate not gone above 71 🙂
Excellent crafting Florenceem 👏 & thank you for the pictures 🙂
Lovely supportive post Moorviews 😊 Fingers crossed that my days of losing posts are over 🤞 I now type in iPad Notes & copy over - hence all the time checks 😂
Excellent decluttering of emails Muddy_Walker 👏 Just 2020, 2021 & 2022 to do now 😉 - only joking 🙃 That homemade epoxy resin heart is beautiful 😍 Another talented crafter 🤩
Quite a busy Saturday TC77 👏
What a lovely thing to say weenancy 😊 DH has asked me to tell you that he really enjoyed meeting you & chatting about genealogy 😊 If you can’t talk to an expert & published author what would the world be coming to 😉 Sounds like the book sale was a roaring success 🥳 Both you & the other volunteers work so hard & I am so pleased that all your efforts were rewarded with a dry day & sunshine & a great amount of money raised 👏 even with giving hundreds of children’s books 😊👏 I am awarding you a medal 🏅 for being so restrained in the number of books you brought home 😉
Lovely post Liverpool_Anne 😊 Sounds like a perfect Saturday 😊 Thank you for sharing your childhood memories 👏 So nice to read about a librarian with a common sense approach to library rules, letting you take out more than one book at a time 👏😊
Welcome aboard the EDT Lindos90 👋 Sorry it has taken me a while to greet you properly 😉 but I can see that several members of our decluttering family have already welcomed you with open arms 😊 No such thing as joining late 😉 I think when I first joined (a few years ago) it was December 😂 You have already taken two of the most important steps - no.1 you have decided to declutter & no.2 you have found us 😊 So again, welcome & I for one look forward to sharing your successes 🙂
End of another page so a timely point to rest for a while 😉 DH got back from his walk at 17:45 having got his step count up to 12,500+ 🥳 No problems with his heart or breathing just slightly achey legs due to missing 3 days of walking 👏 Update of my numbers
833 - 845 Kitchen recycling x 2, paper packaging, 3 magazines, cardboard box, 6 foil trays - recycled

Dinner is the 2nd half of last night’s takeaways. I will try to write one more cheerleading post today 🤞😉
