lovely news MrsSD. I have a standard lamp that has needed a new bulb for a very long time - finally worked out how to get the bulb out, not one i recognised, no luck as turns out they don't make that type of bulb any more (!), so needed a new standard lamp. first shop nah second shop a nice one, quite pricey, but only available online, 3rd shop omg lovely lovely lamp massively reduced (And takes normal screw bulb). also bought a fire pit and have put both together (lamp is even lovelier in situ), loaded old lamp and another long broken lamp into mum's car along with all the packing and a couple of other things. bit more sorting in the office, and of course fire pit to try out, very happyMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

DBro1 was due to go down for surgery today (small skin graft) but tested positive for Covid so surgery is delayed. DBro2 went over to visit and delivered more books & a requested M&S BLT sarnie.DSis and I have been through the house like a dose of salts today. The problem is the untrained eye would barely see where we’ve been! We do however have a few more bits in a charity bag (those that Ziffit won’t take) and enough for a parcel for Ziffit too.Recycling sorted into the various bins.2 crates being passed onto a friend later this week. This week I need to declutter the ironing mountain as I have barely any clothes to wear!✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

So much going on..just remembered to bring washing in - still doesn't get dry outside but spring is around at least.
Needed to cook veggies nearing their useful existence so made curry and frittata and gave DD2 a lift to DD1 with food so they could do some studying together and play on DD2s nintendo switch and picked DD2 up , Got text from DD1 saying curry lovely (which is fab as she has a difficult relationship with food), and means my cooking classes may be paying off!
Washed up, legal advice which only confirmed situation but a frog done, got clean sheets ready for take to dad's house next week and soft bag I put them in aside for textile recycle as zip while broken used to work and now given up. Few things taken off f/bay and put in CS bag - I do feel I shouldn't spend time listing some things and have more straight to CS . Things ready for work tomorrow (In office for long day of interviewing), and list of calls to make on way to/from or at breaks. Spare ginger frozen, and a little digital declutter and a few pieces of paper filed.

Can't remember if listed taking prints to be framed yesterday. Found some in my dad's garage, couple of have creases which make them not worth framing as quite expensive and trying to think of a more affordable way of displaying. Seen the use of acrylic and hardboard....have to think about that. DD1 telling me how furniture and things can have negative energy and I need to get rid of stuff.... given I have another box of her things I take this with a pinch of salt, although when I said I was trying to make sure her & DD2 don't have too much to sort out when I go, she laughed and said she would just get in 'we buy (take) any s*** .com' .

Hi all, shopping done and all put away, bags folded and back in the car. While shopping I got a phone call from a friend but I said I would call her back as I could hardly hear her and I wasn't going to put her on speaker in the middle of the sm. Called her after I had put the fridge and freezer stuff away. She was a bit upset as her dog had died, been ill for about 6 months but she was 15 years old and so it's a real wrench. So long conversation and we have set a date for lunch. She hasn't been able to do much for ages as she felt she couldn't leave the dog so hopefully it will be a distraction and a good catch up. After tea just did some crochet.
Off to bed now as I still haven't recovered from the disturbed sleep last night.
Take care everyone

I'm so sorry I haven't been on for over a week and haven't been able to catch up yet on the 25 pages. Hope everyone is okay x
I've not been too well and on antibiotics and had some blood tests and back at doctors next week. So I haven't managed as much as I'd like this week. I need to keep my mind off the upcoming appointment and keep myself busy so will hopefully do better this week.

Morning all. Glad to hear that Mr SD is home safe and sound now and hopefully the changes in his medication start to have an effect soon.
Hope you're starting to feel better soon as well @charlies_tribe
Currently sitting in my childhood bedroom trying to get some work done before I have to take my dad to the hospital for his first appointment with the consultant later on and can't help but keep finding things that need to go to the charity shop or the dump. But most focus!
In my own house I finally got round to recycling some empty makeup products on Saturday in exchange for some new lipsticks. I've been holding on to the empties for a long time because I always feel so intimidated by makeup counters, I don't know why. But I did it, and have 24 items out to declare and 4 lovely new lipsticks to work my way through now. Hoarding makeup and toiletries is one of my big areas that I need to work on and I'm definitely getting better I think.
Right back to my paid work, hugs to those that need them.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 201714 -
Morning all, hugs to the poorly ones and any of their relatives.
MrsSD I'm glad MrSD is home with a diagnosis and new meds.
I recycled an empty shampoo bottle and a talc tin on Saturday and emptied all the upstairs bins. Yesterday Dad spent the day with us and I sent him home with a bag of cooked lunches for his freezer, lo sandwiches from tea and some bananas, so I hope that counts as decluttering 😁 DD called in with my presents so I also recycled the cardboard packaging from my new mug (I broke my fav around xmas time 😥) and binned the plastic from my flowers. I put the cut off ends of the flowers in the green waste and the envelope from my card in the recycling too, although I did hesitate with keeping it but it had been stuck down and then I heard all declutterers shouting "bin it, bin it ! I haven't finished my chocs yet but as I shared with everyone 👼 they won't last very much longer !
Take care all
