Juggling so much stuff at the moment, but trying to press forward with catching up on tidying and little bits of decluttering as I go (starting with reorganising my sock/underwear drawer).

Thank you all x
There doesn't look much progress in there today. DD1 was here with DGD till early afternoon while DH spent the morning moving the electrics in the boys room and then DH dropped me at college to collect DS2 and we caught the bus back while he went in the opposite direction to take DD2 to dance.
The new shredder arrived this afternoon (I blew the other one up last year) and I have filled it 6 times already and have a pile of books/papers for the recycle bin and some more cardboard but nothing has actually left the house yet. I'm not actually sure how im going to count all the paperwork. Was thinking by inch or each litre of the shredder but that would already be a huge amount today.
I did manage to dry 2 loads of washing on the line though, spring is finally on its way.

Evening all. I have been painting DS walls today. The colour is an absolutely delightful blue and I am sure DS will love it. Just completed the 2nd coat. This is a picture from yesterday evening:
the previous colour was Calluna by F@rrow and ball. No real decluttering done although I have found a few bits and pieces I need to bag up for the cs.
Had an update from the doctor today (via my sister....) that they are going to withdraw all medication other than pain relief and the palliative team are going to discuss tomorrow what the plan is. The Dr advised that we see him sooner rather than later as there is a possibility dad could just have days left. Dh has told work he isn't coming in tomorrow (so he can do school run) and I am going to visit dad, it is a 200 mile round trip so will leave early and maximise my time there.
In other, more positive news; I have my hospital appointment for my stomach polyps= 9th May so feeling pleased about that.
Also, hoping I am not overstepping here, but I would like to award Mr SD a🏅for perseverance and determination to finish the challenge he started. So happy that Mr SD is able to continue his step challenge for March.
Just going to enjoy a nice relaxing bath and mentally prepare for whatever tomorrow may bring. Hope you all have a lovely evening, be back soon. 🖐2024 decluttering Campaign

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off -
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Tuesday continued: DH fed the worms & filled the bird feeders. He was then a busy bee in the kitchen:- first he stripped the chicken carcass of meat, chopped a few vegetables to make chicken broth. The he peeled & chopped wrinkly & about to turn vegetables & started a soup. As DSis didn’t finish her Chinese we used leftover duck as the meat content + a handful of lentils. The pigeons will have a very expensive feed tomorrow when the rice & beanshoots are thrown out 😡 DH then went out on his 2nd walk at 18:15 & back by 18:40 with over 13,000 steps 🙂 Dinner was an HF meal - Italian spiced meatballs with a red wine jus, cheesy mash & broccoli 🤤 Wudupa.

What a busy Sunday kboss2010 🤩 Excellent decluttering, tidying & cleaning👏
roundtuit, I think that was a fair exchange 😉
Thanks DundeeDoll 😊 Shame about the old lamp but it sounds like you have replaced it with a better one 😊👏and you have the fire pit to look forward to 🥳
florianatwobob, Sorry to hear that DBro1 has had his procedure cancelled because of Covid ☹️ Hope he enjoyed his BLT delivered b DBro2 😉 My DH actually enjoyed his meals during his stay in hospital - plenty of choice & tasty as well 😋 Ah yes, but you & DSis have trained eyes so you know exactly where you have cleaned & tidied. Good luck with your ironing pile 🍀
TC77, love the way you described your veggies “nearing their useful existence” 🙂 Now you just have to remember exactly what you put in the curry so you can recreate it 😉 How lovely that your daughters get on with each other enough to study together 😊 not always the case 😉 Great work dealing with a frog & also removing items from FB to put in CS bag 👏 I think this might be the first time you have mentioned the prints being framed - I hope it isn’t too expensive 🤞 DD1 is a bit of a joker isn’t she 🙃
Great work getting shopping put away immediately Liverpool_Anne 👏 Sorry to hear about your friend’s dog ☹️ although 15 is a pretty good age. What a good friend you are 😊
Thanks oceanspirit 😊 Keep up the good work with the decluttering 👏
charlies_tribe, it can be exhausting trying to keep up with the EDT & especially if you are also unwell 😔It always seems to take so long before antibiotics start to work ☹️ Excellent decluttering 👏
Thanks ruby_eskimo 👏 The new dosage of an existing medication is doing the trick 👏 Hope your dad’s appointment went well 🤞 Excellent decluttering of empty make-up products - 24 out & 4 new lipsticks in is very impressive 👏
Thanks nannywindow 😊 it is so lovely having DH home 😊 Great decluttering 👏 and sending your dad home with a bag of lunches can definitely be counted 🙂👏 Well done on recycling the envelope 👏
P.S. still playing with my Sand Art 😅

MrsSD - I am nowhere near sewing bee standard.
I was a machinist for a few years.
When eldest Dd went for her interview for medical school - I made her a navy jacket with a spotted lining complete with shoulder pads - it was 1987. I also made her a blouse to wear but she bought a pleated skirt with money from her weekend job.
With 6 children it was a case of having to make a ball dress for my eldest Dd when she was studying at medical school. I got fabric cheap from a shop in town and made a long dress with a black satin bodice and a grey/white/black pattern satin skirt.
Dd bought the red velvet for another of her dresses and I made her boyfriend a bow tie and cummerband to wear with his dinner jacket. I also made Dd a dolly bag out of the velvet fabric.
Then of course middle Dd and youngest Dd wanted their dresses made when they went to uni - I remember one was a halter neck in a turquoise satin.
When ra ra skirts were popular in the 1980s - I bought black satin fabric/netting from the market and wide elastic for the waistbands to make them for my girls.
I made the girl's school summer dresses.
When my two youngest boys were pageboys for my niece - I made them sailor suits.
My Mum hated sewing but I always loved it.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Hi all, a bit of a nothing day, just exhausted and not right. Heard an ex colleague has died which made me sad. I ordered my meds. Started to sort out a cupboard but cba so I decided to tackle some emails. 600 deleted then the laptop crashed so spent a while sorting it out. Did 23 mins crochet then watched official secrets on the tv. Very interesting and thought provoking film.
@Mrs SD, I have one of those sand art things somewhere, but not as nice as yours. They are totally addictive
@crazy_cat_lady, you might be able to get a refund on previous years if you ask. Martin was talking about something like that on his programme tonight.
@Vulpix, I often feel like that chick but it still makes me laugh, hugs. Hope all goes well with the plumber
@Florenceem you are indeed a candidate for the gb sewing bee. I made quite a few clothes when I was younger but once I left home I didn't have a sewing machine and got out of the habit. I have my Mum's sewing machine now but it needs a service and I need some space to use it.
Hugs to everyone who would like one

I used to have a similar shade of blue in the bedrooms in my old house.;)
I am going to follow some of Dilly's advice and store items I don't use very often like xmas decorations in a clear plastic box in the attic. I only looked in the attic for the first time since I moved here the other day and it is huge! We have lots of plastic boxes we used for the house move that I am going to move from the shed to the attic out of the way. I don't want to fill it up with stuff, though.
I also want my husband to burn his CDs onto his computer and then we can donate them to a charity shop. He has three big boxes of CDs so I'm going to be glad to get shot of them!
I am going to get cracking on that now.2025 GOALS

Dfw38 - so sorry to read about your dad. Hope today’s visit goes well.
Mrs SD - your DH is amazing the way he has been able to crack on with his walking challenge.A few more emails dealt with and filed/deleted. OH’s food stocks gone through and anything ood or nearing ood shared between us to use up. Nothing binned as it’s all usable. A few more things off the reading/to do pile which means mission control looks a bit better.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅14 -
Thank you for my medal.
