Mr F is unwell so I may not be decluttering for a while.

Well today saw out of the back of my car some frogs.
I can tell you they have had a right old jolly round with me for weeks
So coat finally dropped off at the cleaners, CS bag delivered. Bag of used batteries dropped into collection point yesterday.
Items that are not visiting have been moved to the loft - not enough came out though. Boxed up some photographs for DS. What he does with them has nothing to do with me and I don't need to know either.
Walked to the post box to post 2 letters.
4 Ebay items posted out.
Decluttered some tatty hair off my head at the barbers shop.
Frog for tomorrow is close a BS account that is giving me nothing back.
Helped my lovely next door but 1 neighbour start to clear out some of her stuff too. I was surprised she was being quite brutal.
Got some washing dried today - what a fab day.
DH also decluttered back to its owner a motorbike that he was supposed to be putting back together but is not fit enough now.
There is another one that I can hear running now that is almost ready for it to be returned. Hopefully this will take some pressure off him and we can focus on us!
Think I may send him aboard the TLC carriage. Lemon cake anyone?
The space that was made in the workshop/shed has been filled for now by me. I have obtained a small chest freezer FOC very MSE. This is to aid with my batch cooking as I am getting ready to fully retire and hopefully future proofing for us.
Also hoovered up today.
OOh almost forgot used up OOD 2006 shepherds pie mix. It was not solid in the pack either. Tasted lovely.
Take care all

Thankyou MrsSD
A good day. Slow start but managed to get to the allotment for a few good hours. About a third of it is inspection ready. Great time in the sunshine.
On the way home I dropped off a 4 bags of in and outs and one of my own. Updated signature.
We are supposed to be having an 80th birthday lunch on Sunday for MiL but she is unwell with a heavy cold. I think it may be cancelled if she gets a cough which will really knock her off her perch.
Dentist for me in the morning and cleaning MiL spare room in the afternoon tomorrw. Anything else is gravy

DundeeDoll, maybe you can find a new ‘fictitious’ gentleman friend in Singapore 😉😉 then DrM will realise what he is missing out on 🤞😉 You have been very busy both at work & at home 🙂 With the amount of furniture you have moved around I have every faith that you will be successful in sorting bedroom, office & piano room by the end of March 👏 I am hoping that you will consider posting pictures when the 3 rooms are sorted 🤞

I am trying to declutter and give everything a place and SHEIN is providing some really good budget storage solutions.
I am using “dead” space in cupboards at the top of shelves to attach their small storage boxes to cupboard doors, hanging up razors on these holders so they dry quickly and take longer to rust, using this mat around my kitchen tap to preserve the wooden worktop from splashes & mould and the shower caddy replacement shelves.“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A. Hi all, managed to sort 2 small cupboards today. 1 held all kinds of packaging materials which have been put like with like, Brown paper and string, padded envelopes etc etc.I have told OH to make sure to use them before buying new. Some beyond saving into the bin and recycling. The other cupboard had various wires that OH spotted and we have to keep, sigh, some old tech cdroms that I have taken apart so the paper is in the recycling and the plastic boxes are in the hard plastic bag which is nearly full. I also found a digital camera that OHs sister passed on and has never been used. Luckily the instruction booklet is with it. I have put it in a small cardboard box after removing the batteries which are rechargeable and as I also found the battery recharger I will see if they are still viable. There was also some blank dvds and some videos. I am not sure what to do with these so they are deferred decisions atm
. Everything I am keeping is in the banana boxes, a couple of things into the car boot box.
@Wednesday2000, I have my Christmas decs in a clear plastic box in the loft, I also have spare towels and extra dinning chairs. They are useful when we have larger gatherings but take up too much room if left out. If there are any other things Dilly suggests please let us know
Re burning cds onto the computer, it might be better to put them onto an external hard drive so if the computer dies they won't be lost
@bit_by_bit, I hope your MIL gets well for her 80th
@Brie well done on getting the boiler sorted, a month is definitely too long to wait
@EnergyShifter hope you had a lovely postponed md meal
@Mrs SD, still loving the sand art, I might have to invest in one
@Dfw38 hugs
@Florenceem hope Mr F returns to good health soon, take care of yourself as well.
Hugs to everyone else who would like one
551 - 552 cupboards sorted
Take care everyone

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off -
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
A bit late getting back to posting as I fell asleep after dinner 😉 DH & I cooked the 2nd HF meal - linguine in a tomato sauce with chorizo & prawns, with toasted garlic ciabatta & tomato & rocket salad. DSis had a tin of chicken soup for her dinner. Wudupa.
856 - 865 Kitchen & office recycling, 2 lots of paper packaging, plastic bottle, coffee tin, newspaper, magazine, empty air freshener can, - recycled
866 - 867 Kitchen detritus, uu pen - binned
P.S. Forgot to mention that DH made a friend in the park. Standing around checking his phone for directions out of the park when a black Labrador puppy bounded up to him & dropped a stick at his feet 😄 DH asked the puppy’s owner if it was OK & then spent the next 10 minutes throwing the stick whilst the owner managed to sit & have a cuppa in peace. Two happy people & one happy puppy - a win all round 😊
Siebrie, well done on corralling all the bits ‘for Africa’ into one place & having a clear garage & living room 👏 Are your girls still enjoying their bedrooms? Have you managed to find a contractor who is willing to work & be paid legally or are the downstairs renovations still on hold? ☹️
Crazycatlady2, the trouble is that watching the Sand Art form is so addictive 🙊 The acid test of whether or not I will have to hide it away is when I have caught up on the cheerleading & am actually doing some decluttering 😉😂 Great work sorting/tidying/cleaning 👏 I hope that the discount can be backdated 🤞Really annoying that the tax office are making taxpayers do all their work nowadays 😖They are trained, we are not 😔
vulpix, I have found myself ‘wasting’ so much time during the day as it is so mesmerising 🤣 Talking of ‘predictive text’, had you ever seen Lee Mack doing a monologue on ‘predictive talking’ - very funny 😁No wonder you have “declutter fatigue” - decluttering 3 houses - yours, your Mum’s & your MiL’s 😮💨Hope your DD’s flight isn’t too delayed 🤞 And I hope Wednesday’s funeral went as well as it could 🤞What an excellent result from the sale of MiL’s items 👏Florenceem, you might not count the books but you could count 1 for for taking them to CS 😉 Great news on the bunny bags - at this rate you won’t have any left to sell 😅
vulpix, Congratulations to both you & MrV for emptying the bungalow 🥳👏
Excellent decluttering Florenceem 👏
Great decluttering QueenJess 👏 - you are obviously a very good juggler 😃
Excellent decluttering charlies_tribe 👏 Re paperwork I count by inches, which works for me 😉
Wow you have been busy Dfw38 from Monday’s picture to 2 coats done on Tuesday 👏 The blue is a lovely colour & I am sure DS will love it 😊 So very sorry to hear the update about your Dad’s condition 😞 I hope Wednesday’s visit went as well as it could 🤞 Definitely not overstepping the mark 😊 - thank you so much for DH’s medal he will be so pleased 😃
Excellent decluttering on Tuesday TC77 👏
Wow Florenceem - so much sewing whilst raising 6 children 👏😊 When did you find time to sleep? Hopefully when you are happy with your decluttering you can get back into the dressmaking, suit making etc 😉 You probably are Sewing Bee standard but wouldn’t want to compromise quality for speed 😉
I have just noticed the time so I am off to bed 😉

Good morning, What beautiful weather yesterday, I hope we have more of the same today. The funeral was standing room only as expected as she was only 55 and a lovely person. A lot of the attendees will also be coming today to MIL's funeral. Mr V was in a band as a teenager and they and the families have all remained close friends all these years.
We are off to Nottingham shortly. I have a few things to do at the house before the funeral leaves at 1pm. The cleaning product stash needs moving off the worktop.I ran out of boxes the other day. There is also some washing in the washing machine which needs attention. I found a load of stuff in the tumble dryer from last November so I have washed them again.
I LOVE a labrador puppy. When it was my Birthday we went out for lunch and saw a sign selling Labrador pups. I would pay quite a lot of money to spend an hour playing with them! I have had 2 labs in my time,a black one called Jet and a chocolate one called Rolo. The kids from the home I worked at chose Rolo's name. My neighbour has a black lab guide dog. He is my handsome boyfriend, dog not neighbour. Haha. Not got time for a boyfriend!!!!!!!
After today, we need to go to Nottingham again tomorrow as the charity is collecting most of the furniture. I have realised that MIL's house has been easy to clear as nothing is over 10 years old. She was a prolific shopper and upgraded constantly. My Mum's however, nothing is under 50 years old! She has kept everything for Justin. An inch of 60 year old ribbon anyone?
Saturday, Mr V is working and then I am putting my foot down and we are staying at home. It needs knocking into shape, plus we have almost run out of clean pants! We have done an outrageous amount of miles in the car recently. We were going to get a new to us one, I think this one needs to sit awhile and let the mileage catch up with its age.
I will definitely look up the Lee Mack sketch Mrs SD. We are in need of some laughs. We have been listening to comedy podcasts on our long car journeys recently.
Gotta go. Love to everyone. Vx:14 -
vulpix - I hope funeral goes well today.
OH decluttered a paddling pools worth of water from my car boot yesterday. Forecast says rain coming tonight so will have a look tomorrow to see if it has taken in any more. A few more emails deleted or filed and some items off the reading pile went yesterday.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅13 -
Just a quick post as I am going to go out today. No idea where but no meetings or jobs in diary for today. From tomorrow I have intensive child care then hopefully a few days away before children are back. DD came up overnight Tuesday and went home yesterday afternoon. We found a lovely cafe just 15 minutes drive away for a quick lunch. I had been past it but never visited. Will go again. Opticians keep sending me emails about my glasses - we are making them, they are ready for delivery etc - presumably the next one will tell me they are ready. I forgot to put washing on last night which is annoying as I could have hung it out. Yesterday's load dried outside very well - just needed 10 minutes in drier for towels etc.
443 Emails cleared
444 Saw Dr and went through results with her - precautionary repeat tests in 6 months
445 Plumber turned up without warning and had a go at toilet flush - still not quite right but ok
446 DD took three bags of stuff with her (already counted) mostly towels but I added three jigsaws for her and her mil.
447 Various cards and other items posted including overseas Easter and anniversary cards for April.
448 Short Zoom extra committee meeting last night - papers recycled
Hugs to all having RL issues to deal with.2025 Decluttering Campaign 697/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟
