That is an amazing achievement @vulpix. You both deserve several medals and a holiday in the sun.
Hugs @Dfw38 I think that medal is totally deserved.
Off to the allotment shortly and then to the CS to drop off a load of in and outs plus one bag of my own.
Absolutely cream crackered but time is tight as the weather is almost guraranteed good for today and tomorrow I have a big dentist appointment so will be resting after. At least for a few hours.
I am time short and energy short at the moment with all the extra childcare I have been doing. DiL has got her assignment done now so I can just do my two days a week for a while.
MiL is 80 at the weekend and we are having DD and BiL SiL and BiL come down from Manchester. No time over the weekend for anything like what I need to do. Its a busy time but hopefully next week I can just get on with things.

Hurrah! Hurrah!! Our boiler is scheduled for decluttering!!! And it's only in a week's time!!!! Had a quote the other day and they suggested we could last without heating or hot water for nearly a month!!! A week is much much better!!! Of course it will also massively declutter the bank account but at least we'll have a ten year warranty.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. 1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off -
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Wednesday 09:10 - Dark & damp - when will Spring start 😔 Just sat down with my first cup of tea. The wheelie bin has been emptied on the correct day & DH is awake but enjoying a lie in 🙂11:00 - the sun is out & I can see some blue sky 🙂
daisy_1571, my mouth is watering - lemon cheesecake is my favourite 😻 I can make a nice one with a biscuit base & no cooking 😉 but haven’t made one for years through sheer laziness 😔
Thank you charlies_tribe 😊 I bet DH likes the division of labour - finish decorating your boys’ bedroom or start decluttering the conservatory 🤔 Well done for posting the photo - I am awarding you a medal 🏅 for being so brave 🙂 Do you have a photo of the conservatory before it became a Room of Doom? If so perhaps you can use it as a motivational tool 😉 After all it would be lovely to sit in your conservatory when Spring proper finally puts in an appearance 😊 Hope you & DD2 have fun 🙂 You have already made a good start 👏
Thanks GrannyKate 😊 You definitely have a busy week ahead 😉 Hope your car passed its MOT with flying colours 🤞Excellent decluttering & cleaning on Monday 👏
Brie, I hope you had a wonderful holiday 😊 & that the weather was kind to you. I think it was about time you treated yourself 👏 Handmade earrings, probably a one off design & you met the craftswoman - nothing to resist 😊
Thanks Florenceem 😊 I think if you had given your DD twice as many bunnies they would still have been sold before lunchtime 👏
Dfw38, I have no words to describe your sister’s actions 😖 Just hugs for you & your brother & the fervent hope that your dear Dad is comfortable & knows how much he is loved. Please take care.
Excellent work at the bungalow vulpix 👏 Always easier to declutter when you have help - you & your daughter are doing a great job 🙂 as is bit_by_bit in helping with distributing ‘stuff’ 👏 Hope you managed to get the kitchen finished on Tuesday 🤞
A lovely post nannywindow 😊 I have been reminiscing about when I first started going out with DH - he was definitely not a hugger - he was very old school English would rarely even hold my hand 😉Only took a few years to convert him & his family to the ‘Italian’ way of hugging your family & friends at each meeting 😉 Although DH does jokingly refer to the fact that I am only about an eighth Italian 😅You must have been pleasantly surprised when your DH let go of the frying pan with no nagging 😊 I sometimes think that decluttering works by osmosis 😅
Excellent digital decluttering QueenJess 👏 I wish all decluttering could be done from bed 🤣
Great work DundeeDoll 👏 especially getting your mum to do a Tip run 👏
Excellent work in the office D123456789 👏 Sometimes unplanned decluttering can give the greatest satisfaction 😊
charlies_tribe, no such thing as too many tea breaks 😉 I agree with your assessment that 23 minutes is much more psychologically acceptable than 30 minutes 😊 When I am in the ‘declutter zone’ I quite often just press the repeat button on my timer so that I can finish whatever I am doing 😉 I never did that with a 30 minute timer 😅 Excellent decluttering 👏 I hope you are taking photos (just for your own benefit) after each session 🤞 As to your girls, what can I say 🤔 apart from I hope you sent them to bed without any supper 😉😉 I really am joking 🙃 I wouldn’t worry too much about the smashed hudl & why you kept it 😉 I am almost certain that we all have at least one item that is/was no longer fit for purpose & has been hanging around for years before we finally dispose of it 😅
Great decluttering ocean_spirit 👏
Great decluttering Florenceem 👏 still more than a day ahead of target 🙂
TC77, DH was so bored with his enforced bed rest when he was in hospital 😐 Not sure if I mentioned what the doctor said when DH asked how soon he could resume walking 😉 …….. wait for it ……………. “Whatever time you get home” 😂 Fingers crossed that the interviewing was successful & that you get 2 new recruits 👏 Great work dealing with frogs 👏 Fingers & toes (makes walking difficult 😅) are also crossed that DD1 finds a new flat very soon 🤞
Liverpool_Anne, the picture of your little chick certainly did bring a smile to my face 😁
bit_by_bit, you are so right 😊 I think it would have been a much slower recovery if he hadn’t started the walking in February 😮💨 Lovely cheerleading post 😊 You did have a busy Sunday & Monday, bit_by_bit 👏 Very pleased that most of the time it was nice experiences 😊
11:50 I have come to a natural break, so will post this & then get dressed 😉 DH is now moving about & DSis has just taken her parcels up to her room 😉 Oh, I have done one thing this morning - put a new black bag in the wheelie bin 😅
P.S. still playing with my Sand Art 😅

I've been trying to slowly catch up on tidying by concentrating efforts on a different single room everyday. Yesterday was the bedroom and today is the library. Tidying up usually unearths a few things to declutter at the same time. Also blasted through some digital decluttering in a bored moment! Will do my daily photos/videos later this evening.9.855-10,038 - emails permanently deleted10,039 - text message thread deleted10,040-10,045 - paper (reused, then recycled)10,046-10,047 - photos/videos deleted10,048 - booklet (recycled)10,049 - unneeded cable (Buy Nothing)10,050 - kids book (charity box)10,051 - packaging (recycled)10,052 - box (recycled)2025 decluttering: 3,973🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Worked this morning, dental appointment this afternoon which turned out to be a bigger job than dentist had expected. Was glad to get the chance to have a nap when I got back. Dentist had warned me that there was a chance I could be in pain when anaesthetic wore off but so far I'm OK 🙏. Just as well as DS is taking me out for my postponed Mother's Day meal tonight!

Checking in early as I managed to carve out a lunchtime having filled my trolley last night for my errands. I decided CS bag not full enough so didn't take it but dropped off bag of printer inks a WHS*th, 2 old medications at the chemist, posted one sale with packaging, ordered next month's book club book from the library (had the last few months but didn't read or go!), (still to take the last one back to a different library) and bag of electrical items, empty jars etc to donation hub (around 16) so adding 24 as two bags of inks - not counting individually. Two frogs done for DD1 needed more action, as PIP people sent her a text an hour after her appt was (but we rescheduled to another day ) to say it was an hour before !! (breweries and organising come to mind), and also cancelled her flat inspection and asked them to email and confirm with her as working, and they send a text to confirm going ahead!! made follow calls, new total 482

13:15 DH headed out on his 1st walk. I headed out about 15 minutes later & saw my bus to Canary Wharf go by 😔 Not to worry, changed tack & caught the bus going in the opposite direction & went shopping 1st 😉 Then caught the bus to CW & banked my PB cheques - an MMiM 😊 Home by 15:20 to find an email from DH which I replied to. Put shopping away & updated my account book. DH phoned me just before 16:00 & will be home in about 75 minutes. DH home at 17:00 having done 12,500 steps. A quick kiss & cuddle whilst waiting for the kettle to boil ooh er missus 😲 He had travelled to Victoria Park in Hackney. DH has decided to do a 2nd mini walk to take his steps up to 14,000 🙂 Left at 18:15 & back at 18:26
Great work Liverpool_Anne 👏 Pleased to hear that you managed to find some time for self care on Monday 😊
Thanks GrannyKate 😊 Excellent decluttering on Monday 👏 You we’re so busy I am not surprised you didn’t have time to tackle the photos 😉
EnergyShifter, sorry to hear that work was so busy on Monday 😔 That was a disappointment that ‘animals on the line’ translated to ‘a dog on the line’ ☹️ I much prefer your ‘urban fox convention’ 😂
Excellent work tackling financial frogs, Moorviews 👏 I agree with you, financial management should definitely be taught as part of the mathematics curriculum. Far more use than Venn diagrams & logarithms 😅 for the majority of us who aren’t going on to maths degrees 😉 Lovely chatty second half of your post 😊 I might have to subcontract you as a cheerleader 😉 We might have start making pom-poms 😂
Talk about organised grandmanerd 👏🥳 I love reading your posts - nearly always upbeat & you get through a prodigious amount of work 👏 Not a particularly relaxing weekend but with the amount of decluttering & tidying you did on Saturday, Sunday & Monday, I would say that you must be noticing a huge difference 😊 I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ for passing the halfway mark to your target (1062/2023) 🥳 Re DS3 refusing to carry your bags upstairs on Sunday (of all days) one big black mark has gone on my list 😠 I am sorely tempted to take back the medal I awarded him a while ago 🤨Excellent decluttering & tidying 👏 but please, please don’t try to do too much 🙏
What a lovely sentiment for Tuesday, wort “Make today a hug our loved ones day ! You won’t ever regret it. A hug makes everyone feel better and it’s what I miss most now I am on my own xxx” I understand that virtual hugs are really not the same but here are several to keep you going until your next actual hug 🤗 🤗 🤗 🤗
Hugs to you too, iris 🤗 🤗 🤗 🤗
2Scratters, brilliant cheerleading for charlies_tribe 👏😊 Excellent work dealing with your parents ‘stuff’ 👏 Pleased to hear that the sales drive is going well 😊 I think you & DSis2 are probably correct as it sounds like the jelly drops are completely replacing drinking 😔 Orders obeyed 😉 - still giving DH plenty of hugs 🤗
Great decluttering GrannyKate 👏 Shame about the car needing a new tyre to pass its MOT ☹️
I have reached the end of another page so will have another rest before resuming although it will probably be after dinner 😉
P.S. still playing with my Sand Art 😅

Visit with dad went well. We managed to get 4 spoons of food into him at lunchtime and some apple juice as well. I told dad I loved him and he grunted (he is nonverbal) that he loved me too. I had a little cry after that.
I have yold my sister that we are not having none of her nonsense (felt bad being so blunt).
The 100 mile journey home took forever as there were lots of accidents and a few breakdowns. Arrived home half an hour ago and am enjoying a lovely cup of tea and a few biscuits. Been a 12 hour day today so I am having the night off to recharge.
Thank you for the hugs and kind thoughts.2024 decluttering Campaign
