Thankyou for your kind words @Mrs_Salad_Dodger.
Thankyou @ Liverpool Anne. Sadly she is not well still so Sunday has been cancelled. Shame because the cake my friend made for the occasion is excellent.
@Deni_debt-free_dreamer It will be such an achievement to get yourself mortgage free. I can't wait for the day you report in with it cleared.
I hope Mr F is ok after his appointment @Florenceem.
Congrats on the all clear @~FlowerPot~ but ouch on the cysts.
I didn't realise breast cysts were so common and a recurring so often. They must be a constant worry. Hugs to you all who have to put up with them.
Hugs @vulpix
So today a few frogs including an hour long dental appointment. I also booked in for my speeing awareness course which has been put off for week or two.
On the way to the dentist I popped two bags to the cs 1 x in and out and 1x my own. i also remembered to drop off a small pile fof mags to the dentists waiting room. Finally sent off an online sale.
I collected my MiL 80th birthday cake. Sadly she has cancelled Sunday as ill but I am sure we will get to pesent it to her on her actual birthday on Monday.
I have a long childcare day tomorrow with GS3. I am going to try to get to the garden centre so I can drop some books off with little'un. 1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks to include MMiM - do this before I go to bed
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off -
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
I did write the shopping list but am still not dressed 😔 DH went shopping at 14:00 & was back by 15:35. All the shopping put away 🙂 2nd walk DH did 6,000 steps in an hour 🥳 I have done nothing. DH cooked dinner for him & DSis & I am off to bed shortly as just been feeling a bit off colour all day.
Florenceem, sorry to hear that MrF is unwell 🤒 Sending get well wishes for a speedy recovery🙂
2Scratters, how nice of you to drive your frogs around 😉 The thing I am most impressed with is that you didn’t bring them back into your house 👏😅 How kind of you to help your neighbour with her decluttering 😊 It is so interesting to see how other people tackle decluttering 🧐 So sorry to hear that DH is no longer fit enough to tackle his hobby of putting motorbikes back together 😞 Although the silver lining is that you get to spend more time together 😊 Looking forward to seeing both you & your DH in the TLC Carriage 👋 especially as you are bringing lemon cake 😊 Loving the planning ahead - future proofing at its best 👏
What an excellent start to Operation Allotment bit_by_bit 👏 Fingers crossed the weather stays fine so you can get inspection ready in time 🤞Sorry to hear that MiL is unwell 🤒
DundeeDoll, I love that this thread is so motivational and your post is a great addition 👏 Here’s to a successful & enjoyable trip to Singapore 😉😊
Excellent work finding neat & tidy storage solutions kboss2010 👏 I especially like the razor holder 🙂
Excellent decluttering Liverpool_Anne 👏 Shame that OH spotted the wires 😔 What a treasure to find - a digital camera with an instruction booklet. If it works it might make a good addition to the car boot box - I have taken the leap that the car boot box is for a car boot sale 😉 Great idea for Wednesday2000 re loading the CDs onto an external hard drive 👏 Also thanks for asking Wednesday2000 to share any other useful tips from Dilly 😊 The Sand Art is proving endlessly fascinating 😊 The one I have came from China & took 6 weeks to get here but no idea on price 😉

I want to get back to making dolls.

Hi all, not much decluttering done today but I have been faffing about with various things, text messages to various people, family, friends and union stuff. Collected my meds and got them stored away properly. One lot come in several boxes that actually fit in just 2 so boxes in recycling. New soap from stash into the bathroom. I don't know what OH is doing with it lately but we seem to be getting through it at a rate of knots, still it's slowly helping to empty a draw
.
I went in to see ln for a coffee and came home with a small bag of embroidery threads, oops. They were her Mum's so must be at least 40 years old. When I have space to work I do enjoy embroidery and am looking forward to getting to the stage when I can do some. It was a small enough bag to fit in my sewing box so they were put straight away. OH wanted take away for tea so no cooking23 mins crochet after tea but I need to crack on with it, the baby is due in 10 weeks but possibly sooner as they are talking about inducing early or possible c section as the baby is so big
.
@Vulpix hugs, hope you get a good rest at the weekend
@bit_by_bit sorry the gathering for MIL has been cancelled, hope she likes her cake anyway and she recovers soon
@Florenceem take care of yourself, you will be no use to anyone if you get ill. I love the dolls, do you make them to sell for the SA? I should think they are very popular
@Mrs SD take care of yourself, you are probably still recovering from the stress of Mr SD being in hospital. They do say sand art is great for stress. Unfortunately I can't put the camera in the car boot box, (yes it is for a car boot sale), because I am doing the car boot with OHs sister and she passed us the camera. I have realised as I have been sorting things we have aquired quite a few things from her over the years, OH can't say no
. I put my foot down when she wanted to give us her old 3 piece suite which even if the house was empty would not have fitted through the door of the lr as it was enormous and we have a tight turning circle from the hall into the lr. Luckily I can remember what she has given us, several things have been previously passed on to friends or taken to the cs.
Off to bed now, hugs to anybody who would like one
553 meds collected and put away
554 soap into bathroom from stash
Take care everyone

Ordered extra supplies for the TLC carriage to ensure wide choice or refreshments, healing oils and massages and the option of a gentle natured cat or dog to pet 😀
Been waking too early and going to bed too late which doesn't help mood or appetite as evolutionary I think we eat more when tired.
Meant to be on leave til April but working this am and Monday am with plan to take time back another time. Going to hopefully make inroads at my dad's later today and DNephew coming down and help me put small sideboard in my car, then back down next week for quotes for work and council sensory person picking up deaf related accessories as well as their telephone. Alot went to the hard or hearing club.
@Florenceem- love the dolls they are beautiful. does your DH have adaptations at home for his hearing. For decades my dad had the lights switched to go on when the doorbell rang and a pager for the phone etc but just before he went to a home the council's sensory staff told me lots of improvements in pagers/ telephones etc which I wished I'd found out long before.
Hugs to all in need.
I think I'm going to do the 23 mins and find a mission.16 -
Morning all - hugs to all who need them today. Not much to report in. I took myself for a drive armed with postcodes of 2 farm shops I had never visited. Near each other about 15 miles away. One was free range pork and in middle of nowhere but I got a joint for Sunday, eggs and sausages. The other on a main road with some animals for small children but sold mostly veggies and not meat. I got potatoes, broccoli and rolls and take away coffee - ignored the cake 😇
449 Another notebook used up from stash. Small one found to use up next. I put by computer for decluttering notes etc
450 Ten things put away in ten minutes yesterday
DGS4 birthday today and here after school for weekend. DS2 didn't have time to make a cake so I am off to buy one this morning. MrT and MrA both do the one he likes so hopefully at least one of them will have one.2025 Decluttering Campaign 697/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

As expected the s#!t has hit the fan with my sister. Think we will have no choice but to get solicitors involved when the time comes. She is going out of her way to be spiteful and awkward about the whole situation. I am going to take myself off to the tlc carriage, I'll bring brownies and orange juice and a fruit basket for us to enjoy!2024 decluttering Campaign

@Dfw38 - I feel for you with this mess with your sister.
I remember my mum and her siblings falling out (well her big brother). Her brother was the executor and a prolific pain in the pocket. It was he would only communicate via the solicitor (the one's who always win) The sisters were not demanding anything and were very amenable to it all. He even divided bags of rags into 3. My dad at the time was unemployed but was happy to do repairs to the house which he was quite capable of doing and only needed to be paid for the materials no labour costs. Needless to say this was not good enough. So the solicitors bill rose.
My advice would be politely remind your sister of this unnecessary loss of money especially as she seems to be heading that way. HTH.
Good luck
2 Scratters xx

So I went to bed just after 9:15 p.m. & as is always the way it took a while to get to sleep 😔 Woke at 11:30 p.m. for a bathroom visit followed by a cup of cocoa which I took upstairs. Read a chapter of LOTR. Another 90 minutes of sleep. DH had come to bed about 1:30 a.m. which must have roused me as I was up a few minutes later for another bathroom visit & a few mouthfuls of water. DSis was still up but had done the washing up 👏 Back to sleep within a few minutes after a quick cuddle with DH. Awake again at 5:10 & had a small cup of tea which I drank downstairs. Back in bed by 6:00 & asleep almost immediately.
Friday morning proper 😉 I woke up 09:25 feeling a lot brighter than yesterday 🙂 Bed was empty as DH was already up & dressed 😉 He is meeting his niece in Abbey Wood - halfway between our house & her house. 10:02 & DH has set off having had a big hug to sustain him 😅 One load of washing in machine & although currently overcast I might be lucky & get to line dry 🤞 Forgot to mention that recycling wheelie bin was also emptied on the correct day this week 👏 So here goes, I am determined to catch up on the cheerleading 🤞
First things first vulpix 😉 All very well me giving you a 🥳👏 for emptying the bungalow but what I actually meant to do was award gold stars 😉 So one Gold Star ⭐️ for you & one Gold Star ⭐️ for MrV 😊 So pleased to hear that your friend’s funeral on Wednesday was so well attended 😊 Such a young age 😞 Hope the weather stays fine for MiL’s funeral 🤞 I do love chocolate coloured labradors & Rolo was a great name 🙂 I think MrV might have had something to say about a ‘handsome boyfriend’ if it had been the neighbour rather than the dog 😂 Hope the charity shop pick up all the furniture on time Friday 🤞 After MrV finishes working on Saturday, I think you should both move into the TLC Carriage for at least a week as you both need some TLC 😊 & I am sure your car will be grateful for the rest 😉Permission requested to give both you & MrV a big hug each 🙂
oceanspirit, sorry to hear that your car boot thinks it is a swimming pool ☹️ Fingers crossed that you can identify how the rain is getting in & can do an appropriate fix 🤞
GrannyKate, hope you had a lovely Thursday wherever you went & that you have managed to recharge your batteries enough to make intensive childcare as easy as possible 😊 Sounds like you & DD found a lovely cafe for lunch to round off her visit nicely before she returned home. Your opticians isn’t Bo**s by any chance? 😔 Excellent decluttering 👏 & good news that your results showed no issues 😊
Okey Dokey grandmanerd 😊 I can see that I was being a bit unfair to DS3, so I will not take back his medal 😉 Please let me know when he changes the lightbulb in your room, puts the duvet in its cover, puts the curtains up & takes the lamp downstairs & I will then award him a 2nd medal 😊 Loved the tale of DS2 & his tree climbing exploits 😉 Your Tuesday sounds like the perfect day - lots of rest & relaxation 😊 followed by a mad 15 minutes getting ready to go out 😉 - hope it was a lovely meal 🤞Excellent & copious decluttering by the way 👏 I imagine you could have been knocked down with a feather when DS2 was complimentary about your decluttering progress 😂 shows just how far you have come so as another boost I am awarding you a medal 🏅 A very busy Wednesday with even more ‘stuff’ leaving your house & hardly anything coming in 👏 Shame that the ‘silver fox’ only turned up so close to home 🤭 Excellent & steady work in the garden 👏 One big hug 🤗 for deciding that you had done enough 👏 Pleased to hear that Thursday was undecided & I hope that you at least took it a little easier after 2 very busy & productive days 🤞 Will see if I was correct when I get to your next post 😉
11:25 Breaking off here to report on my morning 😉 DH phoned from Abbey Wood at 10:49 was just waiting for his niece S to turn up. The weather here has improved - the sun occasionally winning out over the clouds + a nice breeze, so washing is out on the whirligig. I missed 2 items of DH’s clothing so they were put on a quick wash & are now also hanging outside. I did the drying up & putting away of last night’s washing up whilst making my 2nd cuppa
868 - 869 Kitchen recycling, magazine - recycled
870 Kitchen detritus binned
Will post this, have a 5 minute break then go back to cheerleading in Notes 😉
