Evening all. I've completely forgot what i was going to write. Just a quick post as struggling to stay awake.
Couldn't sleep last night so was up till gone 1 watching 'You' didn't want to get up when the alarm went off.
Another small job for DH today, the blind in our bedroom had been there years and had seen better days. DH wasn't sleeping in the day as it wasn't blocking out any light and it was rather black 🤢. Was hoping to wait until it had been decorated but today the new pole and curtains went up and the old blind is outside waiting for a skip.
I've done a pile more boxes, can't find any more this end of the conservatory. Folded down the rabbit hutch, just need to find the missing bit and then it can go as bunny seems happy enough outside. And sorted through one of the boxes that was full of shoes. Some pairs waiting for the bin, 3 pairs of wellies scrubbed in the bath and listed on free site. One pair gone, another supposed to be collected tomorrow put some black bags of 'dressup' throughthe wash. If it comes out okay ill see if nursery want it first.
@Mrs_Salad_Dodger I will take another picture when I've crammed everything back in. Some big bits (dance mats, rabbit hutch...) in the living room while I dug into it so looks a bit better than it actually is at the minute.

MrsSD you probably are just suffering the side effects of poorly MrSD. Glad you felt better after a rest. Some parts of Lotr will put you to sleepEnjoying the sand pictures.
Thanks @Liverpool_Anne I will enjoy her cake even if she cannot.
Huge hugs @Dfw38. I hope she sees sense before the solicitor has to get involved. 2Scratters has a good point.
I had a long day with GS3 yesterday (Friday) very tired. Had issue with DS2. It seems he has been dabbling in drugs and was doing everyone's noggin in ringing up repeatedly. I went to check up on him but he rambled incoherently with slurred speech. I haven't seen him like this for a long time. I hope it is a short lived trend.
Took another delivery of stuff for vulpix. It is mostly already sorted. and the car loaded with bags for various chazzers. The rest is being disributed between church fairs, christmas stuff for the loft, medical supplies for my friend to take to Africa.
Right, got to go to bed.
Keep well and warm all.

4. Deal with ‘Urgent’ daily mail immediately & the rest at the weekend
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed

Straight back to cheerleading 🙂
Lovely supportive post bit_by_bit 😊 Sorry to hear that MiL is so I’ll that Sunday’s birthday party has had to be cancelled. Hopefully she will be well enough to receive visitors & her cake on Monday 🤞Excellent frog munching & decluttering on Thursday 👏 Fingers crossed that Friday’s weather didn’t prevent your visit to the garden centre with GS3 🤞
Florenceem, no wonder you don’t want to go back to dressmaking 😉 Those dolls are absolutely wonderful 🤩 😻
Liverpool_Anne, not ‘faffing’ but ‘completing useful jobs’ 👏 Well done on putting away the gifted embroidery threads immediately 👏😊 I would say that Thursday was a good day - coffee with In, bag of embroidery threads put in sewing box, no cooking & 23 minutes of crochet 😊 Sending good wishes to the mum to be 😊 Great cheerleading in the 2nd half of your post 😊 I think you might be right about the stress taking time to dissipate 😉 I did have a wry smile at your tale of DSisiL decluttering to you over the years 😄 We also have a ridiculously tight turning circle from our tiny hallway into the dining room 😔 Whenever we bought a 3 seater sofa it had to be built in 2 parts & put together in the house 😂
You are very welcome wort 😊 Hugs are meant to be shared & are akin to love - they expand 😉
TC77, thanks for that 👏 I can confirm that the Spa area has expanded & there is now a large area for visiting Labrador puppies 😊 although other puppies are also welcome 😉 Hopefully you can gradually get into a routine when you are not burning the candle at both ends 😔 I will try to join you 😉especially as one of my Daily Mantras refers specifically to getting more sleep 🤣 Hope you had a successful day of decluttering at your Dad’s house 🤞 & I hope your nephew can help you put the small sideboard into its final location in your house 🤞 Very useful information for Florenceem 👏 Now she just needs to persuade MrF of the benefits 😅 Good luck with your MMiM 🍀
GrannyKate, hope the weather was nice for your jaunt to the 2 farm shops yesterday 🤞 Well done on resisting the lure of cake 👏 Happy birthday to DGS4 🎉 🥳 & I hope you found a suitable cake 🤞Enjoy your weekend with him 😊
Dfw38, so sorry to hear that your sister is being so nasty 😔 There is just no reasoning with some people 😖 Such a shame that you & your brother will have resort to a solicitor ☹️ We will see you in the TLC Carriage & I will fruit to the next catering order 😉 Huge hugs coming your way & a few for your brother as well 🤗 Water & gruel for your sister 🤣
2Scratters, Excellent advice for Dfw38 👏 Thank you for sharing your story although I do fear, sadly, that it would fall on deaf ears ☹️
Excellent work DundeeDoll 👏 Another case of ‘Justin’ proving his worth 😊
Nice to see you Millie2008_2 👋 Sorry to hear that work has been so busy 😔 but very well done on taking one of your days off to relax & rest 😊 Excellent decluttering 👏 & even more so because you have avoided landfill 😊 Blushing now ☺️
🤩 you have been exceedingly busy QueenJess 👏 All that in 1.5 days 🥳 Hope DD had a lovely birthday 🎉 🧁 & well done on being so MSE with her presents 👏 Excellent decluttering & yippee to only having 6 online accounts left to close 🥳 Also a good decision to delegate carpet off-cuts to mats decision to DH 😉
daisy_1571, what a great story 😊 I can just imagine your granda being very bemused when Mr daisy suddenly appeared 😂
Thank you for such a lovely compliment Blue_Doggy ☺️ MrSD is getting quite excited now as he has almost caught up with the steps he missed out on during his hospital stay 😉 Very pleased to hear that Canine Doggy didn’t have to go to vet 😊 you must be so relieved 😌 You might have had a “patchy week” but you also managed a lot of decluttering & several MMiM 👏 Good luck with your next round of paperwork & on-line to dos 🍀
Florenceem, sorry to hear that MrF is so very unwell & that you are having difficulties sorting out the medication ☹️ Great news that all the tables are booked for the table top sale even though it means you have to borrow tables 🙂 Also well done to DD for selling everything you gave her & taking more 👏 Fingers crossed that plenty of volunteers turn up on Saturday so that you can leave every now & then to check on MrF 🤞 Good luck with the sale 🍀
EnergyShifter, Very pleased to hear that your tooth didn’t spoil your enjoyment of your delayed Mother’s Day meal ☺️ Sounds like you had a lovely day out with your friend - a truly special day out 😊
weenancy, truly horrendous weather 😣 At least all we have had is some snow, rain & a few strong winds. Hope everyone is recovering from being ill 🤒 & that the roommate who was in hospital is on the mend. Congratulations to your female roommate for getting work. Great work keeping on top of the day to day decluttering & well done on munching frogs 👏
charlies_tribe, hopefully now the new curtains are up both you & DH will now sleep better 🤞Excellent decluttering of the conservatory - every bit helps 👏
bit_by_bit, I have definitely felt a lot better today 🙂 I agree that some bits of LOTR are definitely sleep inducing 😉 Fingers crossed that DS2 will stop dabbling & it was just a one off 🤞Hope you have a good night’s sleep & will see you tomorrow 😊
Yippee all caught up 🥳 Dinner was surprisingly delicious 🤤 Wudupa.

Hi all, today I have sorted the cabinet under the tv and now have a bigger bag of wires that I can't throw away but I did find 2 that I think go with the camera so they are in the box with that. Also found 4 remote controls that went into the bag after removing the batteries. 2 into the dead battery pot and the rest to be tested.. Various bits of rammel into the bin and recycling. Lr bin emptied.. Dealt with the post, most into recycling but 2 magazines to look through, 2 newspaper things from local political parties as we have elections in May, read and into the paper box to be used for wrapping breakables while moving rooms or to start fires in the logburner/chimenea.. OH uu a shoe dye to dye black boots blue, look quite good but it has been hanging around for ages
.
We were going to visit a friend and her son on Sunday as I am going to teach her to crochet and OH was going to socialise with her son who has mh issues but has a good relationship with OH. Friend has had to postpone as she is unwell so we have been trying to sort a date to visit. Much texting and still not sorted. My ex colleague had an interview for a headship in a lovely school in the lakes and he texted to say he got the joband was celebrating with his wife with the bottle of Champaign I got him when he left the school where I worked with him
. I am so pleased for him
and we are trying to sort a date for a catch up before he starts his new job
I found out my neice is over for a flying visit from Bequia but I can't schedule in a visit as she is in Dorset and Hampshire and I would need 3 days and I just don't have them, my diary has become quite busy until after Easter with union things, meetups with friends and medical things. We have arranged that she will phone on Sunday. I must admit I am a bit concerned as it is very unusual for her to visit without her DH and for such a short time, also my nephew is coming back from India to see her. Hopefully I will find out everything on Sunday.
@TC77, can I bag the cat or dog in the tlc carriage next time I am in there please
@Dfw38 sorry to hear about your problems with your sister. If there is no will it will all have to go to probate and there is very little she can do about it. Unless her name is on the deeds of the house it will be split between you so she will be wasting her time and money with a solicitor. She might calm down when she has had some time to think about it and realises the most important thing is that your Dad is as comfortable as he can be and you all get to spend as much time with him as you can, hugs.
@QueenJess, I have some carpet offcuts I want to turn into mats. Can I ask how you are planning to finish the edges?
@Blue_Doggy I can relate to energy companies guessing , I currently have a bill I am looking at as despite having a smart meter it is all estimated readings grr
@bit_by_bit, I have read lotr many times but it never puts me to sleepthough I can recommend a few that have
Hugs to everyone who would like one

Morning all - if we are having Labrador puppies in TLC carriage we will need to hide the cakes and biscuits. It brought back memories of our first dog - a yellow Labrador which was 9 weeks old when we collected it on the night I finished work to have baby number 1 (you had to leave in those days at 6 months) - DS1 is 51 now. We all loved that dog. Our next three dogs were were all rescue dogs and loved just as much. Went out for tea to Pizza place for DGD4's birthday - the price was extortionate and the food indifferent - he enjoyed it which was the main thing I guess. He is up at the crack of dawn today making up more of his Lego presents. Not much done in the way of decluttering.
451 Car mug binned - left by DD but she says it leaks
452 DGD4's juice mug binned (it leaked) and a new one purchased

LA we found a place locally that sewed the edges and charged by the metre. Very successful, as we used the mats at the doors into our in room which had 3 doors to the garden. As they were same colour as the carpet it didn't look like they were mats, they just disappeared.

I have eaten several frogs:
- made four dentist appointments
- booked the car into the garage for general maintenance. Garage was booked up full until 10 May (!), but he managed to find a spot for me on 19 April
- booked MOT on 24 April
- emailed GP for prescription for physiotherapy, because my shoulder is not getting better, in fact, the pain is spreading
- emailed Architect for a meeting, seeing that the mortgage deal we were approved for is running out on 15 April, and the Architect's proposed solution can only start in October. We have a €100,000 gap
- filled in three forms to claim money from our health insurance for dds' days at youth camp, a horse riding course, and robot camp, and one form for me for joining WI fitness again
- matched up my tiny handbag diary and the kitchen calendar

@Liverpool_Anne the actual turning into mats is outside my limited expertise, but the people we bought our carpets from have a service where you bring your offcuts and turn them into mats for you by sewing all the edges. The ones we have look amazing and better than I could do (plus they are in very visible places in the house). They are a lovely family business, so happy to give them my trade.2025 decluttering: 3,896🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Current total 1162/ 2023 - just lost a long post and really can't go through that again. Two very long, very slow days (Thursday my back and knees protested every time I did something, yesterday, not in pain but aware of it hovering). lots of work done but lots of reading, watching an old series (new to me) and puzzling.12

Hi all, busy day today, chiropodist and then a charity footy match so not expecting much more to be done. OH is out for tea so I can please myself tonight
. Bedroom recycling bin emptied. Just putting a wash on, the weather is windy but showers so no chance of getting it out on the line but it needs doing
@QueenJess and @daisy_1571 thanks for the info re making mats. I will ask at the carpet shop to see if they do it, now I know it is a thingsomething else on my to do list but it will be worth it as it is quite good carpet and will save me the hassle of finding rugs I like
Right better get weaving
Take care everyone
