Hi all, collected OHs meds and home for lunch but not feeling too good this afternoon and as I have a joiner coming to build my side gate tomorrow and the symptoms were similar to when I had my covid booster I thought I better do the test. It was negative but I will repeat it if I feel the same in the morning. It could just be a cold but I don't want to risk it with the joiner coming. We have a few covid tests in as OH tests regularly but the first box had been put back in the cupboard empty, hmmm. So 1 covid test box recycled. Then as I was coughing I headed for some cough medicine in the cupboard only to find 1 bottle ood and another bottle empty but put back in the box in the cupboard grrrrr. So 2 bottles washed out and recycled. We did have another bottle. Then between sitting feeling sorry for myself, drinking tea and very regular trips to the bathroom I wandered around randomly chucking things in the bin and recycling bin as I came across them. Various bits of wrapping paper, receipts, old envelopes etc, where does it all come from? Various bins and recycling bins emptied and then more texting to various people to sort out footy tickets and a lunch with 2 friends in a couple of weeks. Still no chat with S, ex line manager, but I will text him again tomorrow morning and try to speak to him later in the day. It's all I can do until he feels ready to talk to me.
@Vulpix, I don't really know your brobut I have got to an age when I can recognise the type
. Planting a tree is a fab idea, imagine if everyone did that for new born babies, we'd have the climate crisis solved
. I am going to suggest it to OH for when the great nephew is born
So
398 meds collected
399 bottles and packaging from medical stuff recycled
400 bathroom bin emptied
401 bedroom recycling emptied
402 kitchen recycling emptied
403 bathroom recycling emptied
404 lr recycling emptied
Ok off to bed now as I have to be up early
Take care everyone

Pottering sort of day yesterday and collected DS2's car (bill could have been worse). Small people here now so not much will be done. I bought a few plants - primroses and pansies for pots at front of house as treat and was pleasantly surprised to remember I had a gift voucher in my purse which covered most of the cost.
275 Decluttered old brake discs and pads and money at garage
276 Really good clean of new kitchen floor
277 Spoke to contractors who reluctantly agreed to send plumber to look at toilet. They said problem was wear and tear and I said that is unlikely as entire cistern contents were replaced last year during my plumbing fiasco with BG
278 Random metal dropped off at tip (I've been collecting a bag in greenhouse)
279 Garden voucher used up
280 Small bedroom tidied and sorted by DGD4 after a bit of grumpiness.2025 Decluttering Campaign 733/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Not much time to declutter today, but will carry on working through my online account/email/password frog when I sit down this evening. Managed to get another pile sorted last night.

Just tackled my biggest and messiest frog yet- clearing up and cleaning our loft. Started at 8 and just finished now. Full disclosure; I need to add some decorating tools once upstairs is decorated and also an air conditioning unit (small movable one) but that's the loft decluttered and cleaned.

This isn't my day. I managed to break my toilet seat today as I was lifting it up and cleaning it and it broke off. It was loose before, but now it needs to be replaced! I tried on the pair of boots I bought from a charity shop the other day and the right one feels too tight so they will have to be donated back to the shop.
I bought some lemon cupcakes and looked at them today and realised that they are a couple days past the best before date. I think I will risk eating them anyway. Lol.2025 GOALS

4. Deal with daily mail immediately
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Friday was a lazy day 😔 I dealt with a tadpole - I had liberated some pre-cooked rhubarb & apple from the garage freezer - so made oaty crumble mix & cooked 2 crumbles. I also have 2 bags of crumble mix in the freezer for Ron 🙂 DH did his 2nd walk to take him up to 10,000 steps. DSis decided to give solid food a try so had dinner with DH & me - spaghetti in a creamy sauce with a few bacon bits. Wudupa. Think I forgot to mention that I have binned an old damaged duvet (not fit to donate to animal shelter) & replaced with new duvet 🙂

Saturday 09:30 - it is not quite so dark & dreary as the past couple of days 🤞
gettingthrifty, frogs seem to be a law unto themselves 😔 but the pleasure you get from dealing with them far outweighs any temporary increase in items coming in 😉 Great work decluttering emails whilst waiting for a phone call 👏
Welcome aboard the EDT jamieirl 👋 Lovely to see a new face 🙂 Hopefully now that you have found us we can gently persuade you that tidying & by extension decluttering is very beneficial to your day to day life 😉 It is a joy to see clear spaces & to be able to find things quickly. Great work tackling email froglets/frogs EnergyShifter 👏 & well done on deciding to rest & build up your energy reserves for your busy social weekend 😊 Also very impressed that, beautiful though it was, you decluttered the coat rack 👏 & are now enjoying the space created in your hall 🙂 Good luck with your planning 🍀
vulpix, hopefully your brother will have a light bulb moment & realise that he is a grown up & needs to pitch in more 😉🤞 Excellent work moving around curtains 👏 & I look forward to hearing about & seeing your newly made sitting room curtains 🙂 Sending good wishes to your DiL for a smooth pregnancy journey 😊 The renovation of the scandi rocking chair & pine tallboy plus the tree planting are beautiful gifts to celebrate a new life 😊

Dfw38, lovely cheerleading 😊 Well done on sorting DDs’ toys 👏 & good luck with sorting the cuddly toys 🍀 I can tell that you are eager to finish decorating your room so you can start on DS’s room but please pace yourself 🙏 & remember that your DH is probably still recovering from putting up the wallpaper in DDs’ room 😉😅 He needs time before doing the wallpapering in your bedroom 🙃
Sorry to hear that you are unwell Liverpool_Anne 🤒 Fingers crossed that a bit of TLC will lead to you feeling better very quickly & 🤞 that you will be well enough to welcome the joiner & confirm your instructions before letting him get on with building the side gate 🤞 Well done on doing so much decluttering & tidying whilst feeling so unwell 👏 Sending more positive thoughts & energy to your friend S so that he will talk to you sooner rather than later 🙂
Excellent decluttering GrannyKate 👏 Pleased to hear that DS2’s car repairs were not as expensive as first feared 🙂 Perhaps small people can help you plant out your new & very MSE plants 😉
gettingthrifty as you say progress might be sluggish but it is still progress 🙂 Hmm, you do have a weird cat 🤔 I think it is either a new way of exercising or a test of strength & trying to rearrange the furniture 😅 ………. just read the rest of your sentence about airing her armpits 😂 Shame that the notepad & pen idea has led to you finding more frogs 😔 but I am keeping everything crossed that you will ‘find’ the solution to your problem 🤞
Keep up the good work QueenJess 👏 You are doing a great job - already down from over 500 to 400 🙂
Excellent work Dfw38, you really are decimating your frogs 👏 That is the tidiest loft I have ever seen 🤩 Sad to see the rather lonely 😞 looking dustpan 😉

The day can only get better @Wednesday2000! Thanks Mrs SD, the soft toys are not going to be easy. Eldest dd was in tears at the mere suggestion of sorting through them. As they're always just left on the floor of the living room I think it is time to release some..... but not today!
Luckily for dh we are not having feature wallpaper in our bedroom, didn't want to push my luck! I might get some wall stickers at some point but I can sort them myself easily enough. Dh knows he has to do ds wallpaper in the next couple of weeks and has been grumbling a bit but some homemade cake, endless tea and a stern look will put him in his place 🤣.
Tackled the dds homework with them, catching up on the washing pile and pottering a bit. Love waking up and getting on with stuff first thing. Feel like I have achieved so much today already and am very happy to have organised the loft. Although at some point we will have to rip up the boards, remove old insulation and replace with thicker insulation but as it will cost a fair bit (we are saving for it) and is a big job we won't be tackling that for a while. Paid off one more store card debt so 😊, cancelled the card and cut up. The devil's work those things. Hope you all have a lovely day. I am taking the dc to a woods we haven't been to before which should tire them a little and more painting tonight for me.2024 decluttering Campaign
