Carpet cleaners visited and I now have clean and clear beige carpet as far as the eye can see. However, I don't yet have a clear bed (yep, stuff had to get piled somewhere) so better get on with that.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Hi all, well all I have done today is line dry and put away the load of washing. The weather turned nice about lunch time and OH and I decided to go out for lunch
. We went to a new to me lovely Italian restaurant. OH has been before with driving instuctor friends, someone is always teaching an employee somewhere
. It was lovely food but very meat based but I had a bean soup and fab tiramisu. Next door to the restaurant was a very posh and expensive flower shop and I couldn't resist the potted hyacinths which were the same price as those I have seen in the sm and they will go into the garden when they have finished. I do love them in the house though
We got home about 5 and I was so full I just flopped on the couch after sorting the washing. I was reminded that tomorrow is pancake day but both OH and I are out tomorrow evening so we have postponed it until Wednesdaybut it means I will have to try to get some eggs tomorrow. I have a small list
@daisy_1571 I love those shoes but like you I would struggle to wear them now but in my youth they are exactly the type of shoe I would have bought
@scratter23 hugs
So
358 drying and putting away the load of washing, bottom of the barrel but it all helps
Take care everyone

DH got back from his walk shortly after DSis headed off to the doctor’s surgery. Today’s target is 9,000 steps of which he did 7,300 👏 The walking is already benefiting DH as he lost 1.5kg last week 🥳 HF box delivered about 4:00 p.m. - target time 1:45 p.m. 😉 Everything put away except tonight’s meal which is burger & macaroni cheese. Dinner was delicious 🤤 DH did his remaining 1,700 steps & posted a couple of cards for me. Wudupa. By the by I did nothing at all today - I promise to try harder tomorrow 😉
629 - 635 Kitchen recycling, Cardboard box, 3 magazines, drinks cans, paper packaging - recycled
636 Kitchen detritus binned
weenancy, I agree that the older kitchen utensils were definitely built to last 🙂 Sadly I don’t have any inherited pieces 😔
What a busy Sunday Liverpool_Anne 👏 Excellent kitchen tidying & well done on getting union stuff sorted 👏 Sounds like when you sorted your mum’s house it was an amicable clear out with various family members receiving useful items. Shame that OH didn’t have the same experience 😔 but well done 2nd sister for having a word with eldest sister 😉
grandmanerd, you would have thought it would be illegal to auction a house that was unsafe for human habitation 😖 Well done on delegating time consuming tasks 👏 Hopefully DS & Beloved are taking your advice about buying a house, on board 🤞Although it does sound like they need your sensible guidance rather than Beloved’s parents 😔 530/2023 has earned you a Gold Star ⭐️
Yippee Dfw38 🥳 The wallpaper is beautiful 😊👏 Also great that DH didn’t moan once - medal 🏅 on its way to him 🙂
Good work GrannyKate 👏 6 is a good start 😉 Hope you enjoyed your drive with DS2 😊
Hope you have a lovely time in Wales & that the weather is kind, bit_by_bit 😊
Off to bed now as just woken up on the sofa 😬

Tuesday is another dull overcast day but currently feels a bit warmer. Up & dressed before 10:00. DH is off in about 30 minutes as he is picking up his repaired motorcycle jacket & then onto the garage. I will do a bit of cheerleading then once DH has left I will strip & remake our bed, then start on the washing.
Soontobeoap, it was a lovely break 😊 apart from the uncomfortable sofa bed 😉 Enjoy looking in your tidied & emptier cupboards 😊 & good luck with your next decluttering session 🍀
Great decluttering stellata 👏 Especially fishing out the glass jars for a freecycler & binning your potential seed trays 👏 You will get more 😉 Good luck with your pens project 🍀
Blue_Doggy, I believe someone has suggested that the plastic plant pots can be freecycled or maybe you could donate them to a local allotment 😉 What a great idea for keeping the pots clear of spiders & other creepy crawlies 👏
Good ideas for what to do with a surplus plastic plant pots QueenJess 👏
vulpix, thanks for even more ideas for surplus plastic plant pots 👏 Magpies are like that, never still long enough to count them 😂 Love the bus with the “choo choo I’m a Train” destination 🤣 It either lightens the mood or drives people to distraction 😉 I am very impressed with how focused my DH is - especially as he starts the actual challenge in a week 👏The weekend was only 8,000 steps over 2 days but he deserved a couple of lighter days. Yes he is still doing the Round London Tube & DLR Station Rally although it is currently taking a back seat to the walking 😊 Good luck with your two Sunday projects 🍀
CatMama, What a great idea for surplus pens 👏
gettingthrifty, you never have to tiptoe out of the TLC Carriage or hang your head in shame ‘wagging finger emoji’ Remember tackling frogs is a major accomplishment & is just as important as decluttering physical items 😊 So excellent work 👏 & one Gold Star ⭐️ on its way 🙂 I know it is easier said than done but please put the ‘problem’ to one side 🙏 In my experience the answer to a problem comes at the most unexpected time, so it might be an idea to have pen & paper by your bed 😊😉 Good luck with the 23 method of decluttering 🍀 & I have to quote the following “Im beginning to believe that part of this journey is falling by the wayside and getting back up without beating yourself up too much” although the last words should really read “without beating yourself up at all” 😊
Well said skogar 👏
Fayolle, what a joyous outcome to one of your decluttering projects 😊 & thanks for the reminder of how happy decluttering can make us feel 👏 Excellent decluttering especially the toothbrushes 👏 Hopefully DH didn’t notice the faux pas 😉🤞
Wednesday2000, I think Dfw38 posted a picture earlier in the thread 😉 It is just that the thread is moving so fast it is difficult to remember 😉
gettingthrifty, I can see the TVs days are numbered 👏
Sorry to hear that DD3 is unwell charlies_tribe ☹️ Shame that you couldn’t quite finish the wallpapering 😔 Hope your dad managed to fix the leak & that it doesn’t take too long for the wall to dry out 🤞 Belated birthday greetings to DD2 🎉
D123456789, I need to translate the early bedtime to my house 😉 Excellent work reorganising the shoe cupboard 👏 & long may it remain tidy 🙂 Perhaps you can get LO to help with the decluttering of the Cupboard of Doom 😉 I hope she & DH enjoyed Puss in Boots 😊
Great work gettingthrifty 👏
I have caught up a couple of pages so feels like a good time to sign off for a while 😉 DH has left so I will strip & remake the bed & then come back for a rest & continue cheerleading 🙂

Well the cyclone passed Mauritius without too much impact so I'm feeling more relaxed about DS. Still praying for the people of Madagascar & Mozambique who are unlikely to be so lucky. 🙏 It's strange to think that if DS hadn't been potentially affected I wouldn't even have registered this was happening...
I've been in the TLC carriage for the last couple of days - a lovely trip to Rochester yesterday for the afternoon - had a trawl of the Charity shops - bought nothing - I'm definitely more discerning about purchases when I am going through a decluttering phase. Visited Rochester Cathedral & saw a stunning exhibition called "Peace Doves" - a beautiful installation crafted from thousands of hand folded paper doves.(photo below)
Today is my last day in the TLC carriage - I shall make the most of it - back to work tomorrow... I've been worrying so much about DS - I almost forgot that I'm recovering from surgery !!
Tasks:
Took bag to CS
IN (running total 40)
41 & 2 - 2 x reading glasses from the pound shop to keep me going until I can have an eye test.
OUT (running total 238)
239. Palm cross back to church
Thanks for your reassurance Vulpix

Lots of frog munching once I got started.
255 23 minutes of email crunching. Inboxes all empty when I went for a quick walk. 13 new ones when I got back but all dealt with promptly and now gone.
256 Committee form sent off and email answered - one of my family history committees
257 Information acquired re new history group (restarting of old one) and will sign up
258 Membership of another group renewed for the year
259 Contacted distant cousin re family history - been sitting on that email since early January
260 Eye appointment frog made on on line for mid March
261 Cards posted on my walk (1700 steps round the block calling at postbox and co-op).
Filled in breakfast and lunch on NHS app for 12 week weight loss plan. Hope I can keep it up. Off to another history meeting this afternoon. Need to clean out cooking tin section of kitchen cupboard. That can be tomorrow's 23 minute frog. Anyone got any exciting ideas to improve my folic acid levels. I already eat lots of green veg, bananas and oranges. I also have to cut sugar drastically. No cakes, biscuits or sweets.
Lovely picture @EnergyShifter. - don't think I've been to Rochester since my brothers lived at Chatham in late 1960s.2025 Decluttering Campaign 733/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Decided to take today off from SA as I only had my first day indoors for 13 days yesterday.
The next 5 days are going to be full on with Ash Wednesday as well as friendship/lunch club, prayers for Ukraine on Thursday, getting ready for the table top sale on Friday, the sale on Saturday - which is a very tiring long day and two services coming up on Sunday.
Mr F is out delivering posters advertising the sale to shops.
I am busy on local selling and social media sites - plugging the sale - not many tables taken yet which is surprising as I thought folk would want to make some extra cash after Christmas.
I have plenty of goods to put out on SA tables so won't be a problem.
Our Ukrainian ladies are busy baking to raise funds for their country.
