@mehefin - my DD passed all my late DH's maps to local scouts. DH was a keen walker and we had lots of the expensive detailed OS maps for walks. She saw him recently and he said how pleased he was with them as mobile phones are still no use in many areas and they teach the scouts to map read properly.
@Muddy-Walker - waiting for colonoscopy now - seem to be a few of us on the same boat. Hope you feel better today.

Trying to work out if it's the quantiy of things, disorganisation or probably both for me!
Meanwhile I'm wondering why I had kept the ear buds you get on long distance flights. There was some in the bedside table (why there?) and they looked like they were missing the spongy bit of one bud so why did I keep them at all??? BIN!

This weekend is the first time I’ll be at home in daylight, hopefully. Therefore i am planning to photograph some clothes and add them to vinted. Never used before but keep being told it’s great by friends, I don’t have lots but I’ll pop them on and try it and if nothing comes of it in a few weeks I’ll pop them to the CS.
Some outdoor decluttering on the schedule too, a tidy out of the car, and some other bits. May also pick a drawer or cupboard to tackle too.17 -
Started watching a bit of Nick Knowles at lunchtime today and it is making me feel a bit stressed looking at all of the clutter! Some of the houses after, although look great, are still too cluttered for me. I need to be further towards minimalism to feel under control.Been such a long work week, so I'm tired and decisions are difficult. Trying to be kind to myself and keep on just doing my 5-10 mins of declutter at a time whenever I feel up to it. I know things keep getting better all the time even though it is slow! I still feel like there is a fair bit to do before I feel more under control. DD's room feels pretty good now and there is no clutter in there. I've been cleared to order the two bits from Ikea which will arrive next week and then I'll be able to tidy up the whole room and hopefully get clearance to get rid of the superfluous other furniture.Tackled the larger sized clothes which are now boxed up in sizes, labelled and in the attic. As I can never face decluttering the attic in one go (and involves DH....), my rule is always to find something to take out of the attic each time I go up there so again it slowly gets better. Found 3 toys in DD's rotation box that she will never play with and so those are now gone. Lots of empty boxes up there that probably need to be pared down a bit. Hopefully some charity donations will get rid of some of those as I declutter.Think I'm done today as am too tired. I'm happy with what's been achieved today and will just do my 23 item tidying.539-550 - kids clothes (school charity bag)551-552 - packaging (used)553-554 - kids books (buy nothing)555 - paper (recycled)556 - bathroom supplies used up557-563 - kids toys (charity bag/buy nothing)2025 decluttering: 5,000 🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅🌟2025 use up challenge: 362🥉🥈🥇💎🏆Mini freezer challenge +4/-20Big kitchen declutter challenge 120/1502025 decluttering goals I Use up Challenge: 🥉365 🥈750 🥇1,000 💎2,000 🏆 3,000 👑 8,000 I 🥉12 🥈26 🥇52 💎 100 🏆 250 👑 50016

Good morning from a sunny but very cold Isle of Dogs. Thursday has seen me up, ablutions done & dressed by 11:05 😉 A lovely start to my day, the postman has delivered my PB winnings - 2 cheques totalling £75 🥳 A trip out is called for to bank them but need to decide what else I can do on the same trip 🤔 I have my first cuppa & am about to start cheerleading 🙂
A shaving brush is such a lovely memento Keiths_Mum 😊 You are obviously too polite to let people know that you are not a fan of candles 😉 Perhaps the next time you are expecting one of the ‘candle gifting’ people you should put all or most of the candles you already have on your dining room table 😉😉 Excellent box contents decluttering 👏 4 out of 6 boxes sorted is excellent work. 👏 Hopefully if box 5 is heavy it is because it only contains a few hardback books & a couple of metal doorstops 🤞🙃
You have been busy 2Scratters, excellent work on decluttering & tackling your lazy frog 👏 Good luck with your next frog - photographing & listing items for sale 🍀 Think of all that lovely money going into your bank account 😊
I’m blushing DundeeDoll ☺️ I think it is perfectly normal behaviour to plan your ‘23 minutes’ whilst walking back from the pub 😉 and what a successful 23 minutes it was 👏 A bonus being that your cat has a new bed 😂
Great news about your post op check, EnergyShifter 🥳 Is there a time scale re the other eye op?
TC77, repeat after me “Show yourself pencil extender, show yourself please. You know you want to 😵💫” Great work both dealing with frogs & decluttering 👏
Another way to look at your current clutter situation is that you KNOW you are a good declutterer but you have had a break ‘in training’ 😊
weenancy, it must have been difficult keeping up with your on-line courses so well done 👏 Very pleased to hear that you have a new company to provide computer service & phone 🙂 but a shame you have to wait until the 28th for the phone to be connected 😔 Excellent decluttering of other people’s tasks 😉👏 Good luck with the Book Sale 🍀 Hopefully it can be held outdoors & a huge number of people turn up 🤞Loved your comment about cat snuggling 😊
Nice cheerleading Liverpool_Anne 😊 Shame about the test being cancelled but at least the car is clean 😉 Good decluttering 👏 Here’s wishing you a painless & ‘side effect’ free Covid booster jab 🤞
Great decluttering florianatwobob 👏 Well done on rising to the challenge of completing your self assessment & yippee to receiving a rebate 😊 Perhaps it is time for a written list 😉 Note down the amount you believe/know is over & above your goal then halve it & use that amount for a treat 🙂 I think that exercise alone should help you defer any decision to ‘fritter & regret’ 😉
You are most welcome gettingthrifty 😊 Excellent work dealing with several of your loudly croaking frogs 👏 Mine have been banished to the local park - for the time being 🤣 I think you should count each heavy item collected as 2 😊
Siebrie, I love your response to Brie’s dilemma re the paintings “I'd say: bin them! A snake does not return to its old skin, and similarly you have grown a size in your skills!” 😊
Millie2008_2, I never understand why uniforms for any activities are so expensive 😔 Very sad to hear the reason for your oncologist moving on but widening his skill set can only be a good thing 😊 Good luck with dealing with your 4 Frogs 🍀 Just whizzing ahead to check on your success - well done on munching 2 of the 4 frogs 👏 Hopefully, with a little thought you can reach your decision on how to proceed with the other 2 🤞 Sorry to hear about your great uncle but at least you were able to say goodbye at a virtual funeral - you were there in spirit even if not in person. Re the Nick Knowles programme, always makes me feel better about my own clutter 😉 & Stacey Solomon starts on Wednesday 25th 🙂
Well put SecondStar 😊
You are welcome oceanspirit 🙂 Excellent decluttering 👏 especially as you are now able to take back items stored elsewhere & declutter them as well 🥳
‘Snow Appreciation’ vulpix - quiet & picturesque 😊 Hope it doesn’t slow down the renovation of the bridge 🤞 Lucky you - bats in summer rather than bats in the belfry 😂 Shame about the missed chippy visit 😔 but on the bright side saves a bit of money 😉
We are definitely on a bullet train this year Wednesday2000 😉 It will be lovely to see your brother & catch up 😊 The mementos of your Nan sound delightful 😊 & the butterfly shaped box sounds beautiful 😍
Liverpool_Anne, what a pain that you had to waste time enlightening the staff about your Covid booster 😔 but very well done on insisting 👏 Very odd 🤔 Yet another lucky person seeing bats whizzing about 🍀 which finally reminded me that a few years ago we did actually see a bat in our back garden - what am I like 😉 Thank you for sharing your lovely memories 😊 I also love making the first tracks in snow but am never up early enough to take advantage on the very rare occasions that we have snow 🤣
Breaking off now to deal with my post & do my 23 minutes which today will be knitting 😉 I will be back in a while.

Hi all, starting to feel more normal
. I have spent the morning alternately sleeping and drinking tea taking the odd paracetamol. I should have expected it as I had the same reaction to the last jab, though the first 3 were no problem. It doesn't really put me off though as I think about how ill I would feel if I got it. I will have to get myself showered and dressed soon though as I have to go and pick up my meds from the chemist. Luckily the weather is lovely today and I might wrap up and have a sit in the garden and start a list of garden jobs. The green waste bin collections will start in about a month, which reminds me I need to sort out the payment for that
Hopefully I will be back later with some decluttering news
Take care everyone16 -
Hi, we went out for the day yesterday as the house is in limbo with the protracted work in the sitting room. Beautiful weather and sunset in North Lincolnshire. We still have a fair bit of snow, much to the cat's disgust.
Muddy-walker,glad to hear you have decluttered your appointment. Fingers crossed for you Grannykate.
The Nick Knowles programme is quite ghoulish really. I am watching being a bit horrified and congratulating myself that I am not that bad. I doubt very much that the quick fix will help the people long term. When they return to their house it has been staged for them.I think they need to set up their own storage so that they will be able to maintain it. Still it is entertaining in so much as how nice their homes look without all that stuff. Plus Nick knowles does give some gems of advice when the people are sorting out their belongings.
Plasterers here today. They are plastering the sides of the fireplace opening and round the opening. We are keeping the back bricks exposed as they are in much better condition than the sides. They have dabbed some plasterboard on and gone to another job, coming back later to skim everything. The plumber is like a mythical creature, a unicorn amongst men. People speak of them but they are rarely sighted. They move in mysterious ways and we must make offerings of tea and biscuits when they appear. No sightings of a plumber ...yet.
So no decluttering for me today, though I am surprised at my numbers so far as I only record things over and above general rubbish and recycling. Also.CBA. I need to be in the mood. My wardrobe is in my sights and you all know of my pantry of doom.

Another tip run but just my stuff this time. Last time also took a few of my friend’s items. There is nothing more satisfying than a tip run
