@Dfw38 sorry to hear about DDs , think life can be so tough for youngsters, hope all feeling abit better, and other poorlies on the train .
Did 20/100 things tidied or out before work, old therapy band, make up and then bits taken downstairs and put in drawers. Fizzled out as work non stop and then DD1 anxious as ran out of her ADHD medication (only recently started) and assigments to be in monday/thursday. Of course she left it late so I've been helping chase but she can't get on NHS for a while so all at distance and stressful
Library book back, counting 5 as some things only tidied 114

Hi all,
@Dfw38, I am sorry to hear about your dd. I think you need to have a word with her teacher, it should be sorted out, why should she miss out on school because of others despicable behaviour. She has been very brave to tell you about it. I really hate bullies hugs
@gettingthrifty, sorry to hear about your cat. I think it might be worth a trip to the vets if you can. hugs
I was still feeling a bit wobbly after tea so I decided to do some digital decluttering while OH caught up on some tv programmes so
167 - 174 800 emails deleted. I would have done more but it wouldn't let me, probably in shock at me finally deleting some
Off to the match tomorrow and Sunday we are out for tea with friends in Horwich so probably won't do much over the weekend
Hugs to all who would like one
Take care everyone

3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with daily mail immediately
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Sorry I was so long - ended up doing 2 x 23 minutes of knitting followed by starting dinner 😉 Back again at 6:25 p.m. but stopped at 6:55 p.m. for dinner. Dinner was skin on chicken thighs cooked in a freestyle creamy mushroom sauce with mashed potatoes & mixed country vegetables from the freezer. Very tasty with enough leftover to make a pie for Friday night’s dinner. Wudupa. In between cheerleading I have continued knitting & properly restarted my cheerleading (in Notes) at 05:30 after paying the milkman 😬
279 - 281 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, cardboard packaging - recycled
282 - 283 Kitchen detritus, plastic packaging - binned
daisy_1571, useful if nauseating information 😉 although the glowing skin after the procedure might be considered a nice bonus 🙂 Excellent work & looking forward to seeing your numbers 👏
Another excellent stint of decluttering jewellery, joanie 👏 Surely you have no jewellery left 😉
Excellent decluttering Florenceem 👏
I’m with you ilovetea - just wondering if they go round to family to get extra clutter 🤣 Hmm 🤔, now let me think … is it the cat by any chance 😂 Cat cuddling is definitely a stress buster 👏 Excellent decluttering & dealing with a frog at the same time 👏 Good luck with sales drive 🍀
TC77, like you I am particularly enjoying reading about keepsakes & what people are learning from watching the Nick Knowles programmes 🙂 Great idea to set out a ‘Focus for the Month’ please be aware that you are NOT letting yourself off the hook, rather you are concentrating your efforts where they are needed most 👏 Each monthly success will inspire you to continue your decluttering journey 🙂 Great decluttering 👏
Keiths_Mum, are you sure you bought the elastic, maybe it was a gift 😉 Great decluttering of paperwork 👏
DundeeDoll, relocating your desk has worked wonders 👏 I can almost feel your joy 😊
TC77, I agree that it would be great to see if the participants have managed to keep the clutter out 🙂 I think an extra programme should be added at the end of the current series to revisit all the declutterers from the previous series 😉
TC77, if you can remember a time when your home was less cluttered it is proof positive that you are a successful declutterer 👏 I cannot describe how inordinately happy I was to read that all the beanies had sold - I was bursting with joy 🥲 I was also a bit sad that all the beanies had gone before you arrived 🙁 I am wondering if the scarves, wrist warmers & ear warmer headbands were as popular 🤔That aside, when I start knitting more beanies do you have a preference on colour? Would you prefer a single colour or maybe two colours? Let me know & I will knit to order 😉 We can then work out a delivery system 🙂
Excellent decluttering Moorviews 👏 Seems like you are turning MrMV into a member of the decluttering journey by ‘osmosis’ 🙂
Liverpool_Anne, sorry to hear that you have had an adverse reaction to the jab 🙁 So pop into the TLC Carriage, put your feet up & enjoy a cuppa or a drink 😊 A half snow day would be wasted on me 🤣bearing in mind my current sleep patterns 😉
Seeing as it is 6:00 a.m. I am off to bed 😉

Morning all 😀 pleased to report another couple of productive days. I’m finding tackling the frogs really empowering! Don’t get me wrong there’s still plenty of them, infact they seem to be multiplying, and some keep getting bumped down the the list, but I’m definitely getting there. It’s amazing how, when I get around and to tackling some of them , I think - why on earth did I put this off so long and make it into such a big deal in my head!?I heard on a podcast (I think 🤔) or maybe read it in a magazine ??? someone discussing what their word for the year was. Not a concept I’d thought about before. Then a few days since hearing / reading about this , the word “proactive” suddenly popped into my head from nowhere. And I thought - yes! That’s my word. So 2023 is going to be all about being proactive!! 💪

Morning, thank you for your sympathy for dd. I will be having a word with her teacher Monday. Obviously no-one can force the other children to play with her and I have explained to my dd that this cannot be done. But the meanness has got to stop, I have heard from other parents a few weeks ago that some of the kids are forming 'gangs' and excluding others and other types of mean behaviour but had no idea that dd was affected by it. I just put her stroppy behaviour at home as down to trying to assert herself as she is getting older and having younger siblings can be a pain combined with the usual trials and tribulations of an 8 year old. 🤦♀️
I think hedgehog badges would be great, along with the Nick Knowles fan club 😆.
Going to have a day of organising, stripping beds and some fun stuff sprinkled in too. We are already seeing the benefit of 6 boxes of clutter gone, I think 100 boxes might have been ambitious- it might actually be everything we own.... now there's a idea 🤣.
Hope you all have a lovely Saturday.2024 decluttering Campaign

Dfw38, you are doing the right thing by talking to your daughters teacher. Hard for your daughter and hard for you as a Mum.xxx
gettingthrifty, I hope your cat continues to be ok. I am another who would mention it to the vet.
I like the idea of a decluttering club badge and other merchandise. Hahaha. They would be sought after like a golden gavel or a one year out tee shirt.
Here's an updated list of stuff on its way out.

A bright sunny start to Saturday although it is still very cold. I was up & dressed by 11:15 & have had my first cuppa 🙂 Straight into cheerleading (in Notes) & think I should post my first batch 😉
Great observations QueenJess 👏 I agree that the Big Bang approach to decluttering whilst offering an instant solution doesn’t really tackle the reasons for the clutter 😔 Whereas the Decluttering gradually approach gives one the chance to learn new habits & hone their decluttering skills. More to the point, decluttering thoughtfully means there should be fewer regrets at letting things go 🤞
Great decluttering Ginmonster 👏 Good luck with your listings 🍀
Better safe than sorry when it comes to recovering from a sedative, Muddy_Walker 😉 I see Millie2008_2 & Moorviews have responded to your query re the Nick Knowles programme 🙂
Thanks Millie2008_2 & Moorviews 👏
Great work passing on your Ordnance Survey maps, mehefin 👏 Good luck with recluttering some weight after such a drastic loss 🍀 I hope you are recovering well from your illness & are starting to feel more like yourself🤞
GrannyKate, it is always nice to know that a donation is appreciated & even nicer to learn that sometimes old school is best 🥳 as in this instance of Ordnance Survey maps to the scouts 😊 Hope the colonoscopy goes well 🤞Hopefully not too many T’s & U’s in your family history 🤞
Brie, sometimes finding the underlying problem is the hardest part of any process 😔 and these programmes on decluttering are above all meant to be entertaining 😉 Your mention of airline earbuds reminds me that I have a bag of them to sort out 🙁
Beshki, fingers crossed that you are home in the daylight 🤞Good luck with your first foray onto Vinted 🍀
Oh dear QueenJess, please don’t get stressed about other people’s clutter 🙏 No more decluttering programmes for you 😉 Although it sounds like you are a minimalist at heart, your current life situation (full time work & children) means that wholesale decluttering is not on the cards 😔 It seems I need to remind you that you are doing an excellent job 👏 The large decluttering project that was your DD’s bedroom is now almost complete & your 10-15 minute decluttering sessions ARE working 👏 You need 💐, a 🤗 & some time in the TLC Carriage 😊 Excellent decluttering 👏
Radish72, great use of your 23 minutes 👏 I need to sort my stamps out - being realistic I won’t use 200 first class stamps in the next 6 months 😂 - although the deadline has been extended to the 31st July 🙂 Fingers crossed you manage both the Tip run & cs drop off 🤞
Great decluttering herebeme 👏
I am setting my timer for 23 minutes of knitting & will be back in a while 😉

Managed to get to M7S to return all but one of the tops I got in the sale. And pick up the other 2 items I had ordered. I had realised that one was going to be completely wrong and was trying to figure out how to not leave the shop with it but fortunately for whatever reason the 2 items were packed separately so once I knew which was which I could leave the sparkly top (so not me!) and go home with the purple with black polka dots jumper to try on. I hate that they no longer include any paperwork in the orders so you get nothing to tell you what you've returned at all. Maybe it's just because it's a food hall only with a order pick up point. The fact that I also picked up some mackerel fillets bbf today highly reduced to go in the freezer shall be glossed over....and I'd been doing so well emptying the freezer too!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Having a sit at the computer as my back is telling me to have a rest.
I have done a good amount of decluttering today but look at my room and sigh!
Saturday is a day to keep checking on football scores. My Son's team are playing away from home today and they couldn't get tickets - they support Nottingham Forest.
