I'll be back on in a day or so with my numbers. Been powering through several areas recently and today was spent mostly on our knees putting flooring down in the big room to try to cut down on draughts. To get heavy furniture moved around meant taking out drawers and emptying cabinets so they won't go back in tomorrow until I've checked everything and hopefully spotted things to go.

Football on the TV ( which I don’t watch) means I can escape upstairs for 2 hours and more sorting. A further 35 items of jewellery, mostly necklaces and bangles. Strange how my taste has changed (dramatically !!!) 😜
plus 2 makeup bags I’ve put them in to pass them to charity shop,
now going to gave an hour with my book. 😁Declutter challenge 2023.

I watch Nick Knowles as well. Still not sure how people can keep so much stuff. Tonights episode was eye-opening.
Cat cuddling is one of the best things. My old girl is 16,only had her 2 years. She was a rescue cat. Guess who the boss is!
Started on one of my frogs. Craft cupboard. Just doing one box at a time.
268-269. 2 large cardboard boxes emptied and recycled.
270 -275 Lots of crafty items to neighbour.
276-279 things to charity shop.
Also did recycling,kitchen waste and e-mails. 280-282.
Tomorrow I'll be trying to get some stuff on e-bay.
Take care in the snow.

Hi All, love hearing about what people have kept, and hoping it will inspire me to be selective.
Watched Nick Knowles last night. Gosh 50% in 2 days, can make the top of a chest of drawers abit tidier in that time!
DDs would be mortified if all my things were shown on TVI do think that's the proportion I would need to get rid of I ever move. Realise nearly a year since my dad passed, and his house looks little different. Going down at half term which is why my Feb focus.
@bit_by_bit setting out a focus for the month I think helps me not stress that I'm not doing things on other fronts... could see it as letting myself off the hook but do see it as a good way forward at the moment.
106 physio decluttered (and must do exercises to declutter pain and lack of movement
107 bank finally got back to me with info
108 ordered replaced headphones as mine can't be mended. had to call as couldn't see things on line, all confirmed
109 progress on tax form
Work v busy and focusing on it declutters stress but no physical declutter!16 -
Keiths_Mum, ouch & double ouch 😣 but you were very fortunate that it wasn’t worse 😮💨 Excellent paper decluttering 👏 How very curious - 10m of elastic 🤔 Maybe you were going to replace the elastic in clothing 🤔
I doubt if I was ever going to do any kind of sewing or mending with it, but even if I was 10 metre is quite excessive!
Continuing with the paper decluttering, I have found bank statements from 1994 and details of a car accident I had in 1992 in this box! So I've had a little wander back through the 1990's via my bank statement to see what I was spending my money on.
Shredded 45 pieces and recycled 34 pieces and binned 2.
Currentky trying to identify a project for the weekend, there's so many to choose from!Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can
