Well done for sticking to your boundaries with BK.
You achieved a lot yesterday and worked long hours. Around the cafe shift I think today you should prioritise looking after yourself. Keep hydrated (yes I am obsessed), relax, and enjoy time with the dog.
The weather is lovely here I hope it is with you.

Popping in to say well done on saying no to the extra shift. It can be really hard to say no. I do too! Im to much of a people pleaser! But setting boundaries is helpful and will hopefully stop you over giving.
Well done xx

On your savings rates - are you loaded up on all the regular savings like the Coventry one? MSE has a list.
If the chippy boss is getting too much for your mental health I suggest you get yourself another side hustle.. life is too short to be miserableDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Morning all,
So sorry for not posting for a few days. I've been crazy busy with my part time jobs and feel like I have had no time to myself for what feels like ages now so decided to be kind to myself and remove the pressure of daily posting until things settle down at work.
I'm still hanging onto the three jobs for now but I think something will most certainly have to give when hubby starts works away from next week. Reality is just starting to creep in with me about how our lives are going to change
I've got a double shift today - 5 and a half hours at the cafe and 3 and a half hours at the chippy - and to be honest it feels far too hot for both of those already
Fingers crossed I will be back to normal posting again very soon xMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.021 -
Don't stress about not posting daily, it is your dairy use it however works best for you.
Are there any changes you can make at home to make it easier to manage when Hubby is away with work.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

I am now starting to look at ways on how to make my life a bit easier when hubby is away and also things the kids can do to help me and themselves - fingers crossed I will find something as I'm really starting to worry that my days are going to be 23 hours long with only an hour left for sleepMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
Morning all,
I've got a day off today (my only one this week) and I intend to spend it doing as little as possible
We have a family cinema evening trip planned tonight so that will be lovely and I have a couple of orders to get done but other than that no plans at all. I even got a lie in this morning until 8.30am so that was lovely as son does not have any lessons at college until 11.15am
Good news on the bank account front too - payday is tomorrow and we still have £500 left in the account so we will be able to limp home without having to take any money out of the savings
So today I plan to:-- Play on Mistplay - DONE 2 points so far
- Watch videos on WEr8 - none available still
- Pay in cheques from Royal Mail for lost orders - DONE just over £30 so will transfer into savings account when cleared
- Make lucky gnome and guardian gnome for Etsy order and post off - DONE
- Print stickers for Facebook order - DONE
- Post on Social Media to try and drum up some more orders
- Take an online course from one of my memberships
- Transfer some cash from low rate savings into higher rate savings
- Open new higher rate savings account
- Make popcorn to take to the cinema - DONE also bought some chocolate snacks so far cheaper than cinema prices
- Enjoy my day off - DOBE had a lovely relaxing day and the film was really good
