How long will hubby be away for?
In total hubby will be away for 9 days this next shift (including the two days overtime). It's not too long and the rewards will be good. I'm just hanging onto the fact that when the mortgages are cleared he will never need to overtime again
Next week I have our son taking our driving test so hopefully will have another reason to celebrate soon tooMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.021 -
Morning all,
I'm planning on a leisurely day today until I have to go to work at the chippy for 4.30pm. I'm still leaning on the side of quitting but the £92 a week really does seem to be making a difference to our mortgage mountain so I also wonder weather to just keep plodding along and trying to stick it out until October when they will get rid of me for the winter anyway - I shall see how today's shift goes
So today I will:-- Play on Mistplay (50 points target) - DONE 62 points so far
- Watch videos on WeR8 - DONE five videos watched for 32p
- Comment on in search of posts to hopefully get a few orders - commented on one so far
- Raise claims for non delivered order - DONE one I still have to wait two more days to file claim but one completed for £7.05
- Check freepostcode lottery - DONE not a winner
- Complete Prime Opinion survey
- Enjoy a walk with doggo - DONE lovely walk with doggie and hubby completed
- Meal plan for rest of the week
- Transfer £2k from one savings account to higher rate account - DONE
- Take a course from one of my memberships
- List a new item for sale in my Etsy shop
- Post in a facebook group to try and drum up more sales
- Chippy shift - 4.30pm - 9pm - DONE ended up being until 9.30pm
- NSD - DONE

Morning craftingmad
Am I right that you are saving to offset the mortgages rather than overpaying as you go along?
Congratulations to your daughter and good luck to your son

Our plan is to pay the mortgages off when the fixed rates expire. As we have reached our maximum allowance for overpayment until September and the interest rate is higher in the savings accounts than the mortgage interest rates currently (as on fixed rates until 2025,2026 and 2027) the money is going into the savings account to earn us interest which we can then use to pay the mortgages as well if that makes sense?
I know what we are doing but I'm not the best at explaining thingsMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.022 -
Makes sense to me @craftingmadFashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases

Currently daughter sleeping, hubby and son making up son's new bed we finally got around to buying and I am trying to tidy up my craft room (although I keep getting distracted). Other than that no plans so I'm hoping I can do a few small things to keep us heading in the right direction

Morning all,
It's another wonderful sunny day here on the broads again
We went for a meal last night at a local seafront cafe - they served the best chips I have ever tasted. It was lovely to spend some time as a family and just chat and laugh with each otherIt may have been £60 but it was £60 well spent in my eyes and I have found we do need to treat ourselves ever now and then or else I just get resentful of the challenge ahead
Back to work again today though (well for the females of the house anyway - both boys have got a day off). I've got a 6 hour Burger King shift starting at 12pm today but luckily they should have switched their air con on so it should be fairly cool inside - if not I may well be looking for the switch to turn it on myself
Other than that not much planned - I've got a website order I need to make and post off and reply to an existing customer regarding a new order she wants to place plus I am really hoping that my bank cards arrive today so I can up my daily withdrawal limit and get the money transferred into the new higher rate interest account. It's so frustrating that I cannot do anything until I have them and have been requesting them on and off for the past couple of years with no avail. Anyone else had issue like this with Natwest?
So today I will:-- Play on Mistplay (50 points target) - 2 points so far
- Watch videos on WeR8 - DONE one video available for 6p
- Make and post off guardian angel wish bracelet for web order - made and packaged - I will post off on my way into work to save petrol

Morning all,
It's very hot already here on the Broads today so I cannot wait to get in the cafe this afternoon for my shift. A thatched roof with plastic covering it and two ovens don't make for the coolest working environment - add to that my menopausal hot flushes and I'm sure you can only imagine the sight I look like once my shift is over
I ended up doing an extra two hours at Burger King yesterday because we were so busy. I was shattered but on the plus side it will be even more money for the OP pot in a couple of weeks timeI've only got a 1pm - 5.30pm shift today at the cafe so hopefully my tired old body will get a bit of rest.
Still no sign of my debit cards from Natwest so I'm going to attempt to phone them today and chase them up. I've been asking on and off for two years now so if I have no joy I am going to look into switching banks. I might even get paid for doing so, so that will be a bonus
Other than that I'm planning on spending a bit of time with hubby before he goes back off to work this evening for 9 days
So today I will:-- Play on Mistplay (50 points target) - DONE 112 points today thanks to 50 point new game bonus
