You work so hard , very impressive! Keep cool where you canDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

It's been a busy few days with work for me the last few days so sorry for the lack of posts.
I actually have a day off today and so does our son so we are going to go to a film festival together.
Big news is that he has passed his driving test first time so that will really help me as he will be able to take himself to and from work on the days which are hard for me and he has even promised to pick his sister up sometimes too so that is a huge responsibility lifted from my shoulders
The bad news is that his insurance is nearly £1000 a year but luckily hubby was owed some overtime which was missed out of last months pay packet so that has covered that and we were able to transfer another £2k into the savings account without leaving us short this month so good progress made already for AugustI'll post a monthly update for July when I can finally get hold of the mortgage company to check the balance. Apparently since transferring the platform mortgage to Co-op they now don't work weekends - lucky them
I have also opened a different savings account as the first one I opened to replace the Santander one were dragging their heals and the interest rate dropped so I have managed to instantly open a Virgin one (thanks to MSE newsletter) and get a higher rate of interest as well so I've transferred over £20k today (my daily limit) and will do the same tomorrow and Tuesday so that the savings post will be earning the higher rate asap
I'm not planning on doing lots to climb our mountain today - I am just looking forward to having a rest but I will try and get a couple of bits done so:-

Good morning,
The sun is shining and after my lovely day yesterday I am ready to face this new week head on and feeling very motivated to add some cash into the pot
I have a two and an half hour cafe shift today and then will be taking and collecting daughter from work later today (she doesnt finish until midnight so it's a late one for me)
As I don't have much actually work to go off and do, I am hoping to work on my cardmaking download business idea today as this will make a great (almost) passive income stream for me if it takes off. That's the plan anyway but as we all know very rarely do my plans become a reality!
So today I WILL:-- Play on Mistplay (50 points target) - DONE 66 points earned today
- Watch videos on WeR8 - still no videos available

Good morning
I was only meant to be working 4 and a half hours today but it has now turned into a 9 hour shift so although it means I will have less time to achieve much I will be getting extra money in the pot at the end of this month so it's all goodI think all my jobs will come to an end by the middle of October at the very latest so I may as well grab as many hours as I can until, then
I'm also a bit nervous as it means son has to drive by himself for the very first time today - he is a great little driver but it does not stop me worrying. I will feel much happier when we are all back home together this evening
I didn't manage to update my spreadsheet yesterday as after spending just over an hour on the phone to the mortgage company to find an up to date balance I had to admit defeat, hang up and go to work
So today I hope I will find time to:-- Play on Mistplay (50 points target) - 22 points earnt so far
