My Mortgage Free Mountain - A 7 year expedition to climb to the top

So sorry for being quiet these last few days. Our daughter turned 21 yesterday so we have spent a long weekend celebrating. Far from being money saving but it was so lovely being around family so in my eyes it has been money well spent.
It's going to be a tight month this month as, as well as spending what feels like a small fortune over the last few days, hubby's work have also mucked up and not paid him everything they should have. He knew he was in for a bumper payment this month so he instructed them to add £9k into his pension pot to help boost that and hopefully save us a bit of tax which is great for our long term future however his works forgot to pay him the extra extra time he is owed, his expenses and his back dated pay rise so it means we got £2k this month in his wages only whereas we were expecting nearly £8kI've had to do some transfers from accounts to get us through for this month but it's going to be very tight. So far I have managed to not transfer anything out of the savings accounts but I think I may have to later in the month just to stop us going overdrawn
Fingers crossed we can limp home.
I feel like we have not made any progress recently but I'm going to knuckle down this month and see how much we can clear (although given above situation I think it is going to be difficult). Now our daughter is home from Uni though I have cancelled her £250 payment for food into her account so that gives us a little breathing space to play with.
I'll post our monthly update in a little while once I have managed to get hold of the mortgage company to get the figures - wish me luck!!!Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.022 -

I'm actually feeling much better now I have done our monthly progress report and seen that we are heading in the right direction. It honestly felt like we had got nowhere last month so to see that we have paid/saved nearly £4k in May was a lovely surprise and very motivating to continue our quest.
It just goes to show that the small things really do add up to make big differences

Morning all.
I've been very slack at posting recently haven't I. All I can blame is lack of time as I seem to be working every hour sent with not much to show for it really
It is Burger King payday today though so I have transferred all £174.46 of my wages straight into the savings account. I also have a day off from work work today as does hubby so hoping to have a nice day relaxing together although we are also planning on doing a food shop (he likes to come with me these days - I'm so lucky) and I have three orders I need to get completed for my business as well so not a massively relaxing day after all
Other than that nothing to report at all - I lead such an interesting life- so I will go straight into my list for today and hope the motivation finds me to complete it
So today I WILL:-- Play on Mistplay (126 points target) - 2 points so far - must try harder
- Watch videos on WeR8 - DONE five videos watched for 30p
- Transfer Burger King earnings into savings account - DONE £174.46 transferred and ready to start earning me interest
- Make the most of the sunshine and get two loads of washing dry outside
- Make and post off Prayer Box for Etsy order
- Make and post off cross in my pocket for Etsy order
- Print, cut and post off display cards for Facebook order
- Design more cardmaking sheets to sell
- See where my Craftsuprint earnings have gone for last month
- Comment on in search of posts to hopefully get some more orders

Enjoy your day. Thankfully my OH doesn't usually come shopping with me, I usually get frustrated with him as he likes to browse and is sooo slow at the checkout. I go in buy what is on my list plus anything that should of been on my list, through the checkout and away. He views it as a leisure activity, I don't want him doing the shopping unsupervised as he would bring home lots of stuff we don't want or need and spend a fortune 😏Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Thanks Baileys.
Sadly I got called into work in the afternoon/evening so it turned out to be not so much of a family day afterallMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
I'm back after two exhausting days of work.
On Saturday I was at the cafe for 7 hours and then had a 4 hour shift at the chippy and then yesterday saw me complete an 8 hour cafe shift followed by a 5 and a half hour shift at Burger King so I after leaving the house at 8.30pm yesterday I finally got back in the door at 11.45pm last night! I'm slightly tired this morning and was hoping for a bit of a lie in but no chance as had to get son up and off to college and I then have to take daughter into work for 9am. Oh well I suppose I can sleep when these mortgages are paid off
I've got to go to the post office today with my Nippy Chippy wages (£350) which they reluctantly paid me on Saturday. They were querying my hours so much which really annoys me as they were the ones who asked me to do so many in the first place to cover for somebody whilst they were on jury service. At least seeing the percentage paid off going up will make all these long hours worth it.
Today other than completing some orders for my own little business I am planning to have quite a lazy day and might even try to squeeze in a quick power nap as my old body cannot really cope with being on its feet for all those hours (I honestly do not know which part of me is aching most today!!)
I'll add a list but honestly if I only cross one thing off it today I will be happy
So today I MIGHT:-- Play on Mistplay (126 points target) - 62 points so far
- Watch videos on WeR8 - DONE five videos watched for 30p
- Pay in chippy wages and money from FB Marketplace sale - DONE £360.75 added into the OP savings account
- Make and post off Prayer Box for Etsy order - made - just waiting for glitter glue to dry before I can package and post off
- Make and post off cross in my pocket for Etsy order - Made now just needs parcelling up and posting off
- Print, cut and post off display cards for Facebook order - printed and cut now just need parcelling and posting
- Transfer Paypal balance into OP savings account
- Design more cardmaking sheets to sell
- See where my Craftsuprint earnings have gone for last month
- Comment on in search of posts to hopefully get some more orders - commented on three so fingers crossed I get some enquiries
- Write and schedule posts for my business page on social media - wrote and posted for today
- Complete one course from my membership - DONE took a course on productivity to hopefully learn how to use my time more effectively
- Check free postcode lottery, winadinner and freemoji - DONE not a winner
- Complete Prime Opinion survey
- List something on FB Marketplace
- Have a little relax and rest - DONE stopped work and 7.00pm and just watched some mindless tv. Also had to pick daughter up from Haven camp where I work at Burger King so sat in the clubhouse watching a show whilst waiting for her
- NSD - DONE

Wow, you have worked so much in the last few days no wonder you're feeling exhausted.
Can you combine taking your daughter to work with paying in your wages?
You have put more on your list than you realise, make and post is 2 jobs not 1 😉
Look after yourself, stay hydrated and I hope your power nap helps.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
