Oh you lot ARE ace - thank you! And DAL - you give me hope that we could achieve it too. We’re also going with the same agent for selling - the T’s and C’s are decent and we feel that they will have added incentive to get us sold if it gets two sales through their books at once. 😁🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Exciting news on the house front. Hopefully yours will sell quickly when it goes on the market. 3-4 weeks is a decent period of time. Presumably if it is a probate sale ( I think you said the lady had died unless I have the wrong house?) there is no chain above so that will make things more straightforward. Fingers crossed for you.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Hey all - thanks for popping in! Yes, ES there is no upwards chain at all, and our likely market is first time buyers so it could end up super-short which would be really useful. There is a previous fallen through sale on the one we’re buying, but we know the reasons and we’re happy with it, might even help up because we may be able to buy the searches which would save us a bit of money - it’ll depend if our solicitor (my Boss!) and our planned lenders are OK with the search providers though.JoeDenise that made me laugh - I turned to MrEH earlier on and said in great glee that whatever happened, at least I now have the rest of the time here knowing it has to be kept clean and tidy - viewings, then the possibility of a second viewing, and then I’ll use the excuse that it makes sense to keep it decent as it will reduce the workload when we move out - let him even DARE start accumulating clutter again! 🤣🤣 In the meantime I am thoroughly enjoying my beautifully tidy home!
Photos are done - and in spite of both me and the agent being ludicrously vigilant about ensuring everything was in order for them I’ve found at least three things since that have immediately made me say “blast - should have moved that!” 😆🤦🏻♀️ The agent is sorting the EPC - that should be done next week, and I’ll formally instruct MrBoss to act for us on Monday, and we can get the sellers pack for ours ordered same day. The more we do this end, the more it shows willing.Weekly shop was done first thing - £25.43 spent, and shopping list firmly stuck to. I cooked up the chickpeas last night, those have now been portioned off and frozen - 5 tubs each of which is equivalent to a tin. Also got a pack of beef mince out of the freezer - that will get turned into ragu probably tomorrow morning - and bulked out with red lentils and some well chopped mushrooms, that should give us three portions, one of which is on the meal plan for later in the week.Feels very strange not to have any jobs to do around the place! 😆🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

😂😂 I remember that feeling very well! 😂😂 We didn't dare touch anything in case we broke it.
We'd done about 3 years of heavy DIY, and barely remembered what we used to do before. We ended up watching the whole of Game of Thrones, right from the start, just to make sure we didn't start fiddling with anything 😂4
