Ha, I love the flowery house 😁😁 I'd never choose to decorate like that myself, but faced with it in a house I'd just bought, I'd keep it forever, it's ridiculous and I love it 😂
I would keep it long enough for all the family to come round and see it, while declaring how much I love it, then change it quietly and just have everyone think I kept it (or decorated it like that) :D

The new house viewing sounds like an interesting project to get your teeth into.

That floral house is a bit of an assault on the eyes :)

Starnac I love your thinking there!   RS assault on the eyes is putting it mildly! and MAB - that's a decent level of energy credit for the middle of the winter - I'm trying to remind myself that we could still have a lot of cold weather to come, though!

I've just taken £7.86 out of TCB which I'll transfer to the new house fund once it's landed - it all helps, after all! My survey earnings will still go to me personally, by the way - but cashback I'm happy to mostly divert to joint funds now.

I’m a bit behind, but thank you for the link to the flowery house 🤣 I bet the estate agent made them paint upstairs as it was suspiciously rose free in the bedroom’s.
I love the terrible real estate agent photos site, there are some jaw dropping pictures and excellent captions..

I have a friend who lived in the area for exactly the reasons you say, easy to commute and oddly cheaper than the surrounding areas.  Where I moved from was madly expensive and has only gone up, even when I lived there I was considering moving to a cheaper, less pretty town as it was very near and when WFH you spend most of the time in the house rather than the town anyway.  But having moved somewhere I have a nicer house for 2/3 of the mortgage, I am not sure I could go back.

I fell down this rabbit hole, thanks! I loved the one with all the books and the Grandads kindle comment. I would have happily viewed that one.

Good luck with the running. Agree on sticking to the timings.

My aches got better once I bought some decent running shoes, and actually did the stretches. I do miss running.
