Very gentle hugs to Dizzy, lovely to hear from you, sounds like you have been having a tough time xx
I survived Tuesday (just) and I am home with PJs on and fire lit. I have also managed to change our sheets and run the hoover around.
Anxiety is through the roof. I had hardly been in the office half an hour when a member of staff brought me a difficult and complicated problem that apparently I had already been told about two weeks ago (either I wasnt listening or have forgotten) and I was required to magically find a solution there and then. It set me off feeling very wobbly and fragile but I had to just get on with it and pretend all was OK.
I am not even looking at the to do list, that can wait until tomorrow. I have a new library book to read.

Hi again
a note on stamps if it might be useful… non barcoded stamps must be used by end Jan next year as then they will no longer be valid.Flying update. Quick vac of ground floor done to stay on top of the litter the fluffsters fling everywhere. Now I’m having a catch up on here and a read before an early night as I have a very early start tomorrow.
bye for now x10 -

You get new stamps to the current value of the ones you send in - no matter how cheap they were when you bought them
Flying update:
- 4 jobs done as listed
- meal eaten
- address labels printed for cards
- short shopping list written for tomorrow
Off I go, pen in hand...

Hi all x
welcome back Dizzy
Iona DD was telling her bf that the tent in the corner was my heated winterdyke. Had to explain to him what a winterdyke was *rolls eyes*
I have the lurgy. Hardly slept a wink last night I’m absolutely loaded with the cold. Picked up fabric softener, tissues and throat sweets. Paid stuff done but I did the minimum which mostly entailed me blowing my nose then washing and sanitising my hands. Made myself chicken noodle soup when I got home. DDs dinner done and everything WUDUPA. I’ve had a hot shower and I’m now in my jammies in bed with herbal tea.
I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged10 -
Nest time.. I guessLeaky bathroom mopped from the kitchen floor.2 loads of wet stuff hung up2 washers part filled with the lurking bits.. soggy towels rinsed and spun.Pack ups done.. I did not have time to do the dishwasherHaving music on while cooking dinner (I usually sing very loudly while cooking) is banned because it makes me miss Hazel and then I cry.. She loved being sung too and she would sit on the worktop and smile while I polluted her ears with singing. Every cat rescue, lost and found post and video seems to be about mad orange cats and my head is sad.. I don't sing when I'm sad.. so the house is quiet.
Secondary school for Dot.. We have sent the consultation to 1 special school, 2 mainstream.. Squeaks school said no, the other (which said no to me on the open evening) said yes.. this is very very rare.. so the plan is to wait for the special school to get back to us.. we think it will be a no from them because she has a mainstream which are claiming they can meet her needs. Wait also for a response from Squeaks school about what they would need to be able to meet her needs... or just accept the place at the school which we wanted for Squeak which is super close and I can pick her up after collecting the other 2.. and when Pixie starts next year she is likely able to bring her home or I can meet her part way.
I'm a bit sad.. DD1 is wanting to move her 3 to another school.. I wouldn't get to see them every day like I do now. I dn't like that idea.
I still have loads of christmas shopping to do and I am just too fed up to be enthusiastic.. I even watched Mupper Christmas Carol tonight and it hasn't helped.. I want my tree up but there is no time.. and I am too busy.. I am utterly failing at life.

Morning all. Frantically trying to catch up on all the news, so bear with me if I don't have a clue about stuff!
Today started with me discovering with much joy that my entire male Ridgeback had shredded a brand new big box of plasters in disgust about being left in the kitchen overnight as the girls are in season. He was not sorry. During the clear up, my friend arrived to drop off her daughter (who I had forgotten I said I would take and collect from school today) and all the girl dogs started scrapping as they came to the front door rather than the back. Glass vase knocked off the side table, but deftly caught by me in a gymnastic twist and roll that should see me through to the next olympics!
Washing up done, washing machine on, lunches made, kids to school, visiting spaniel welcomed in and two Wispa bars eaten for breakfast. And I wonder why I'm fat?
Soooo, plan today: microchip puppies (been on my to-do list all last week), wash second long velvet curtain from dining room, clean both cat trays, empty ash bucket and clean out woodburner, clean large incubator currently sitting on my dining room table, get quote from DH for the flood barrier he's been sent but not passed on so I can order (!!!), plant daffodil and snowdrop bulbs outside of front stone wall, sort sock and pants pile and put away, brush moulting collies and steam clean middle room floor as puppies have pee'd all over it overnight.
And after lunch....hmmm, let me think...9 -
I have a few boxes to move.. a tree to erect and not sure if the plumber is turning up or not.. who knows?!
I may need sctual clothes at some point today but putting them on this morning was not a possibility, I am having help to put socks on.

Morning all. My head was buzzing last night, so my day started at 4.00am, and I hadn't had much sleep. I used the early start to wrap up all the presents that I have bought so far, apart from the ones that went via the Jungle direct to the final recipients.
Since breakfast (at DH's usual time of 9.00am) I have done a quick tidy round and QHI.
I have a list that is double the size it was this time yesterday and won't bore you with the details.11
