Welcome back FFP
Raphael I'm glad the male is still intact and fingers crossed for eggs. That is one beautiful spider, I can see where it gets the name Lava.
- finished and emailed the 'difficult' report with my manager's approval.
- finished and emailed a much easier one and have started another.
- took a phone call from an adult desperate for assessment in time for a professional exam, offered me double fee if I could do it and write up within a week. No chance - I have 2 booked this week (and every week till 15 Dec) and just over 2 to write up; money or not, I'm not unfairly queue-jumping.
- went to zumba
- got to post office. Worker at lunch so waited 20 mins trying not to look at chocolate or cakes (the PO is in the C00p). Finally managed to post fly parcel and cards to Canada, Ireland and France. Asked for 20 stamps....worker looked aghast. I said well if there are 12 in a book, I'll have 2 books = 24. "er...I have books of 8". So I got 3. Serious money, I haven't bought stamps for years.
- put one load through WM.
- various minor bits of tidying and even less cleaning, but did cook dinner.
The Big Give starts tomorrow if anyone is donating to charity this Christmas, all donations doubled.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
DW loaded while I was cooking dinner so I didn't get packed luches done so I shall do those when I've posted.
1 airer stripped and reloaded.. 2 loads of dry stuff upstairs on my bed.. I need to put that away before I get in it too.
Bins are out but we have a broken bin, full of recyclables ready to go in the blue bin as is.. FLING
School meeting in the morning so I need to go to bed early.. I may need more meds or else I will not be sleeping, I have had my allowed 3 doses today already but my knees and ankle/foot hurt so much I might not care..
Right.. cuppa.. laundry.. bin.. uniforms.. pack ups.. bed..
Party rings in the tin..

Hi all x
Not long in from work. Picked up the washing up liquid and something for my lunch for tomorrow but forgot softener knew there was something else but couldn’t think what. Dinner dishes are now wudupa and I have tea. My throats rasping looks like I’m in for something
Piggers & Valli, Smalls are all good. Piper is at University. Smart wee cookie walked straight into second year studying pharmacy. She turned down an unconditional offer from St Andrews to study chemistry! Apart from driving me up the wall she’s driving a car too. She’s through to the dance world championships with her team and she’ll be dancing for team Scotland too so we are off to Florida in April for that. DS1 is good working away and living with his gf and DGS (5). DS2 is a workaholic and has just moved in with his gf can’t see them having kids soon they have 2 catsDon’t know where the times gone!
I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged8 -
Morning all. Hope you're not in too much pain today Piggers and that Valli is still resting where she can.
Today:
prep food for dog

hoover and mop floors
scrub kitchen sink
And I have an exercise class this afternoon. I also have a large parcel to collect from big town but I may leave that today.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.8 -

Morning all, will yesterday was fun!
Managed to load DW twice and unload once. Did washing and tumble drying. Made pizzas. Then OH asked me to give him a hand fixing DD3's car. He worked on it for eleven hours I worked for seven! It now has a new clutch. We then had to go and collect her from friends house, and call in at supermarket for DD to buy him some beer. Got home in time to have a bath and go to bed.
Today's list.
Dishwasher times two, already on so only one left!
Washing machine and dryer again, lots of clothes covered in gear box oil!!
Dig the compost and plant seedling, from yesterday.
Paint the walls again, from yesterday.
Put yesterday's washing away.
Check on sheep.
Name and cook tea, might put something in the slow cooker.
That's enough for now, hugs to all, mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.8 -

Me again.
Bedding changed, WM whirring. Dog walked. The lock on back door has broken so I can't get into garden to unlock the gate. Also will need to put Poppet on a lead each time she needs a wee.
Found the item DH wanted in the small shed but ended up having to tidy in there. No wonder he couldn't be bothered to find it himself.
Just having breakfast and have had a positive call from housing association about a repair so at least that's a plus for today.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Morning all. Thick November mist here, and I've switched my SAD lamp on so that I can imagine it's still summer.
Lovely to have you back, FFP. I knew it was you as soon as that evocative word 'winterdyke' waved at me from your post, before I'd even seen your name x
And welcome home to kazwookie x
Relieved to hear that the spider mating went well, Raphael
What is it about ankles on this thread? - that's at least 3 Flyladies + 1 Flydog hobbling to a greater or lesser extent. Take care, everyone, and watch your step.
Thanks to everyone who sent me birthday greetings. I think know I am suffering from enjoying a surfeit of cake: a friend came round for coffee yesterday and we sampled scoffed three different bakes [nom-nom]. Needless to say, I am not doing well on my 10-week slinky challengePerhaps that was why yesterday evening I decluttered my bottom drawer and put all my old size 12 clothes in the CS bag. By the time I might be able to fit into them again, bustles and corsets will be back in fashion.
I still haven't started writing our Christmas cards, so that must be top priority today. (I hasten to reassure everyone taking part in the swap that my Flylady cards have already reached Natty - it's the ones to our families and other friends that have been neglected.) I've also booked a trip to the tip and will call at the CS on the way home [fer-ling!], and the upstairs needs hoovering.
Hope everyone has the best possible day xxx
