Afternoon all
Most of list done, just ironing and emptying bins left but as it’s cold and dark the bins may have to wait until the morning unless I feel brave enough to go out again lol. I’ve just eaten a very late lunch, pleased to have had a productive afternoon though.Going to power on and get the ironing done, there isn’t much and then I have a new book calling my name.
have a good evening. Hope valli is feeling better soon x9 -
ionafan said:Today I must do as an absolute minimum (in no particular order)
- frogx1
- put up a few indoor decorations
- order some Christmas presents
I've also done QHI, but I need DH's help with the decorations and re-making his bed. Can I prise him away from Pointless?
Still waiting on a response from DS2 before I can order their presents.
I hear loud croaking from the pile of papers on my desk!
Hope you feel better soon, Valli xxx8 -
Hope your heart behaves Valli and you feel ok. X
Work was ok. Ate a few frogs. It was new starters’ 2nd day. She was supposed to spend an hour with me but didn’t so I had to rush the job I had prepared to do with her and my back is now sore.
Finally went to post office on way home.
Since home
Uniforms wahshed
coffer machine cleaned
2 bras handwashed
updated online grocery shop.
messaged ds1 about his Christmas plans.
cooked dinner after DH peeled the veg.
I have some dance work to do tonight as I have supervision tomorrow.
Did I say I was tired.

Valli I hope you improve & feel better soon.
Our oven has died, good job it's SIL turn to cook xmas dinner. I'm not so bothered, I usually have like fish or chicken & rice, so I'm good with just using the hob. Poor BF is upset as it means no chips for him. We'll have to decide if it's worth getting a new oven, or getting something to make do with for a while.I've spent the evening making little candy cane reindeers for my work colleagues. One of those little jobs that you put off for a while, that ends up only taking 5 mins in the end.Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

Valli hope things settle down.
Dizzy well done on the wreath; photo?
Raphael very cute, reindeers and spider
Hugs to all, I keep skim-reading and have forgotten most of it. Have spent a lot of this week in the WAC for some reason; annoying as I'm so busy with work and desperate to enjoy Christmas stuff. I did allow myself to have Christmas radio on yesterday as it was 1st Dec and enjoyed advent calendar.
- went for a run
- I load through wm
- filled bird feeders. Millions of them. But worth it as the fairies are back for the winter.
- messaged swimming buddies to see who is going tomorrow. A bit of a dilemma as I'd planned to do a small flower arrangement as a present for S; I'm away next week so we may or may not meet before Christmas. However she's had Covid so although she wants to go, she may not.....which means I'll have the arrangement sitting there and the timing doesn't really fit in to give to anyone else ......hence phoning buddy 2 thinking that if she goes and buddy 1 doesn't, she can have the present. Then panicked in case both turn up.....so I ended up doing 2 arrangements. Buddy 2 definitely going. Confused yet?
- put stamps on a load of Christmas cards (some written while in WAC; thought I may as well use the time if I was awake). Not too many more to write now.
- Did uni invoice and sent it off so I get paid before Christmas; it was Oct and Nov together.
- Started another report. The non-binary one so I need to concentrate.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10 -
New dryer on a trial run.
DW emptied and reloaded ..
I actually cooked something resembling food.. with beef mince which looked questionable but OH said it tasted ok.. I don't eat it so I don't know.I feel grotty.. I may need more drugs..
I need to knitt mittens for everyone and a blanket border
I still have a few christmas bits to buy.. DS2, Twinkle, Tiddles, DS1/DIL, Pixie, Jacob, SDad.. and 4 books for Boog.. and finish my mothers shopping ( 5 people). Then a whle bunch of stocking fillery things.
I've done nothing.. I'm not dealing with a BD but I'm just flat.. and feeling nasty. I just don't have the spoons or the motivation to do anything. It is still partly losing HazelLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)10 -
Just flopped into bed and caught up on Fred. The reindeer is fabulous Raphael - really made me smile.
Got lots of ironing done today - even duvet covers that have been languishing for weeks months. I listened to an Audible book whilst working and really enjoyed the time, as I actually find ironing relaxing (I know, I'm super weird).
Cooked spaghetti bolognaise for dinner, but didn't really fancy it by the time it was cooked. Does anybody else get that? I often fancy something but by the time it's ready, I've gone right off it...
Bought some daffodil and snowdrop bulbs in the week, but fear I may have left it too late to plant them as there was a frost this morning. Shall I just plant them anyway and hope for the best? Small has joined the after school gardening club, despite DH saying it was for girls (there are actually more lads than lassies) and getting shouted at for his sexist remark. Has he never heard of Alan Titchmarsh, Percy Thrower or Monty Don!? I'm making sure my boys are good all-rounders who can cook, clean, garden and do DIY. That way, they might be a half sensible partner for someone! Tiny is getting a sushi kit from DSS this year for Christmas, so I need to teach an 8 year old how to handle razor sharp knives *gulp* Ive bought a new box of plasters and worked out the fastest route to A&E already...
I've ordered a jar of Odie's oil at great expense, to use when restoring my flood damaged oak furniture. I follow a furniture restorer on YouTube who raves about it, so it better be worth a bullseye!11 -
I’m fine now. I’ve napped and eaten. I’m home - fell asleep when I got here (I’d had a bad night).
The nurse was with me so when I mentioned I was feeling unwell and described my symptoms chemo was immediately halted, emergency trolley appeared and piriton administered through my PICC. Then I had an ECG and a blood test and was kept in for observations on the unit and not sent to A & E. it was described as a reaction. BP was normal (ie low ish) for me.

So glad to hear you've recovered from the chemo reaction Valli. I hope you have a better night tonight and you're feeling right tomorrow.(((Hugs))) Pigpen. You sound dispirited and exhausted. I hope you feel better tomorrow after a good night's sleep.Good to hear from you Dancemum. I was watching an episode of Only Connect this evening and Pokemon came up, which reminded me of your DS2.More present wrapping, and bringing the spendy spreadsheets up to date, but not much in the way of Flying today. Some things are going to have to happen tomorrow because someone is arriving on Sunday.Layla's sore leg is bothering her when the parrots wear off so the time between doses is getting shorter, which means overnight she will be feeling it if she tries to wander around. I hate my animals being in pain when there's nothing I can do to make the pain go away. Once we've got a definitive diagnosis about what's causing it we'll be able to review her pain meds but we're restricted by her being on steroids. This is very beautiful and I hope it brings a little measure of calm to anyone who enjoys it.Better is good enough.8
