Another 2 NSDs, so think I'm on 13 😊
Made soup for lunch, then spent a lot of the day knitting & watching TV with my mum. DS1 joined us on the trip to take her home, then after a buffet tea, I watched TV with DS1. Put on the other half of a packet of a peel off face mask. So enjoyable peeling it off, it's like PVA glue on your fingers at school 😃
Waiting for my turn in the bath. Going to take my book too - it's really good!
Grateful for time spent with family, my knitting growing in length, peel off face masksUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

The new year and Jan 1st are traditionally the time for plans, resolutions, change, blah, blah, blah...As turtles, we know that every month (if not every week and even every day) can be a time for plots and plans, change, goal setting. So between now and Jan, have a ponder about the year ahead. Where would you like to be 3 months, 6 months and/or one year from now? Which experiences would you like to repeat? Or never ever ever repeat?Back at the end of 2019, I wrote a list of 20 things to do in 2020, inspired by a thread on mse. Needless to say, it didn't happen! Maybe consider 23 things to do/see in 2023? Or a decluttering challenge of 365 items, or 2023 items?Be realistic - I'm one for doing this sort of thing when I'm off work and feel like anything is possible. Then I return to work, life kicks in, and the plans get shelved... Oops.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!9

All in favour of plots and schemes and machinations for 2023. I am also utterly in favour of being unrealistic.I would never have thought I would be M/F this time last year. Or able to pick up work (albeit carp jobs - apparently they don't call them McJobs anymore) Life was totally different, the year utterly exploded, and I ended up spending nearly 2 months away from my family, after never having left them for more than 5 nights in their lives!Still, it is an ill wind that blows nobody any good.So get plotting Turtle-friends, and get a diary, but do not put your wall calendar in a place burglars can see it through the window if you put a big red ring around your HOLIDAYS!!!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I got knocked onto the back of my shell and have been spinning around and around for the last few days …It’s been full on fun with Christmas films, many edible and drinkable treats, gifts galore, loud music, and conga lines through the house. It’s been a very good Christmas here this year.
It’s quietened down now so it’s an ideal time to get organised around the house and start thinking/planning for 2023, and our last minute holiday next week.Grateful for my family and friends, and for our precious time together and making memories.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸8 -
I've been apologies apologies I am being very rubbish at checking in (although I do read along most days) - energy levels very low with craY end of term and working 50+ hour weeks with no assistant (had an almost full time assistant last year) and more work and technically still in recovery....left me on my knees once term ended and then the lurgy kicked in (inevitable school was full of it) and I am a snot filled coughing monster combined with turbo charged meno symptoms from the tamoxifen (having done all of this some years ago I'm not a fan of suffering it again - and this time around I can't take HRT!)
Aside from that I hope everyone had a fab Xmas 🎄 I'm making some plans for 2023 - things I want to do for me, to the house, as a family.. the usual sort of stuff 😁
Right now it's time for more chocolate (and panettone is totally acceptable as a breakfast item in Twixmas, yes? 😁😁😁)I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £208 -
Afternoon turtles.I've been exploring a sort of once in a lifetime holiday as a goal for 2023. Nothing crazy expensive but somewhere I'd like to go, and something positive to aim towards. Might book it in the next few days as I have a voucher and can pay in instalments. Only trouble is I absolutely hate flying! We also wanted to move next year as our mortgage deal ends after 5 years, but that might need to go on the back burner depending on interest rates etc.Anyway, yesterday OH and I went to check out some sales as we had some Christmas money. We both bought some trousers which were definitely a good deal (he got smart ones, I got half price levi's, should last years provided I look after them).Today has been a bit of a lazy day. Did some pilates and washing this morning, watched some TV, had lunch then went for a walk. Have cracked open some prosecco because why not!7

Happy twixmas turtles
I am full of lurgy also… was dragged on a 6 mile walk this morning which somewhat helped, but haven’t felt this horrendous in years. Christmas food is helping, and I can’t overeat as breathing gets sacrificed, so I suppose that’s a plus. HahaHave had a lovely few days though and bagged 3 NSDs.Spending the days playing with the dog, eating and playing games with my 2 oldest younger sisters 😊

Today I am grateful for listening to dc when out and about, for finding a good needle felting book in wtrstones, for not losing my f1tb1t (I have a history of losing them...), for relaxing time at home, for twinkly lights on the jasmine in the front garden, for dc continuing to make connections and realise things about their autism and what affects them and how.
