Ah the infamous (in a good way!) @NinjaSavingKat! I wasn't around for your threads but have heard only good things!Today was my first day back at work and typically I slept horribly last night. Back played up, wide awake randomly thinking about things, bad dreams, the works! So wasn't feeling too fresh today, I ended up buying a coffee at lunchtime in a local independent coffee shop.Work was good though, only a few of us in, but got a lot done, ticked off some massively overdue frogs! Back home and in my pyjamas awaiting the shopping delivery. I also topped up the oyster card and bought petrol11

Good evening 🌓
Had a bit of a sort through some old diaries and cleared some stuff. Took out rubbish/recycling and did a little shop for some essentials. Although it's only day 1 of my abstaining from bad habits I am already feeling twitchy!!! I ordered the book 'Dopamine Nation' by Anna Lembke which arrived today, so am going to start that which will hopefully give me the staying power I need. I am also going to uninstall my game today which I spend way too much time on escaping from the World. Lord - I might start cleaning and dusting I'll be so bored!!!
Today = spend day
Today I am grateful for:
1) New friends and connections
2) Friendly people at the supermarket/pharmacy which cheered me up
3) Peace and quiet
Have a lovely evening folks x⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

Adundant, one thing I'll be doing in Jan is not playing a certain game on my phone. I'm wasting a lot of time with it. You and me are gonna have very clean houses in Jan 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Today I am grateful for a fab catch up with a friend, for DH and dc going ice skating, for my needle felting, for my pink hair (it looks like Mr Messy first thing in the morning!), for Strongman on tv.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!8

Today is NSD number 11 !!!!!! Get me! Still have £10 in my purse for travel to work tomorrow. So I am in budget, and finally in double figures!!Went to the tip this morning with some TVs that have intermittent electrical faults we have not been able to fix. They have a container there for them to be recycled, so off they went.Went off to the foodbank, but it was really quiet. Either way it is good that emergency help was not needed.Tomorrow is payday for me. Only working 4 hours, but will not get home until nearly 9pm, which is annoying.Really looking forward to having 2 whole days off in a row this weekend, and DH is starting to feel better although the cough is still lingering.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Another lazy day for us. DS started sniffling and DH doesn’t feel 100%. Decided to have a wander around our local shopping centre didn’t buy anything & we went to the golf driving range for something to do.
DS went to his mates this evening for a couple of hours and I should have used the time more wisely than scrolling through my phone!
Pay day tomorrow, can’t wait to replenish pots and be the next grand down on my debt!Lightbulb moment - 17/08/2017 £17,033. Current CC debt £0.00 DFD 31/7/24 🥳. Member #8 of Fiver Friday Challenge £175/£2609 -
Exercises done, walked to the village with DH to get DS3 some chesty cough medicine. Read my book whilst eating dinner, some cliffhangers at the ends of chapters. Drove to town, picked mum up, we went shopping, then parked up to watch the charity tractor run. @179 vehicles took part, will attach a friend's photo, as my phone battery died. (The tractor has a big Tigger with a santa hat on the front.) Took mum home, drove home to discover DS1 had been trying to reach me. Drove back to town to collect DS3"s G/F & took her home. Had a bowl of cereal (hadn't eaten since 2.30, so 6 hrs). Went in the bath, then finished my book by the fire.
Grateful for seeing the tractor run, DS1 txting to say he loves me (he's on his staff night out, so maybe a little squiffy!), a warm fire

Hello fellow turtles, hope you had a great Christmas. And fab to hear from @NinjaSavingKat too ☺️.
Been absent the last few weeks 😞, it's just been hectic and the lurgy made various rounds in our house. But signed up to January, ready to start a new chapter.
Onwards and upwards as NSK say.
Btw this post is weirdly timed. Went to bed super early and then woke up not being able to sleep and remembered I hadn't checked in ages.
Hope you all have a good year when it comes round and see you on the other side 🎉🥳DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/2511
