Enjoy @grandmanerd!
how lovely @thrifty
Happy Christmas Eve turtle folk, whatever you are doing. I am on the sofa drinking port with my mum, waiting for a last minute big river shop delivery of presents (terribly disorganised)
stayed over at a friend’s house last night, was lovely to see her for first proper catch up in years, and this morning her Siamese was furry alarm clock no2.
Friend dropped me off for spa day with my two aunties. It was treat from aunty 1 so didn’t pay anything, did laps of the outdoor pool (a little heated but still cold)
Sauna, plunge pool, steam room, back massage and facial. It was lovely!’ Feel very relaxed now. Wasn’t an NSD but only bought an espresso at the spa.
grateful for family, for connecting with old friends and for pets. Enjoy your Christmas turtles!!!! XxxxStudent loan £5655

Happy Christmas Turtles!
Had a lovely day of doing last minute wrapping, buying forgotten cheese, cleaning & ironing. Met friends for golf, tea & back to ours to play Christmas bingo & exchange gifts. As it was said earlier, time now to enjoy all the efforts put in over the last couple of months and spend time with our favourites.
Enjoy yourselves xxLightbulb moment - 17/08/2017 £17,033. Current CC debt £0.00 DFD 31/7/24 🥳. Member #8 of Fiver Friday Challenge £175/£2607 -

Today is NSD6DS1 informed us at present opening time that we have a new lodger, a furry one, with little clattery feet... up the chimney and down the back of the fridge .... eek! Not really surprised considering it has been so cold out lately. I am all for live and let live, but not when it involves my kitchen and (possibly) my pantry - that is why most of my stuff is in glass containers... just in case.....For tonight, he ( Mr Whiskers) gets to live. Tomorrow will begin the hunt for a humane trap via friends.Presents opened, still need to buy myself a diary, got a fab weekly family wall calendar though!!All bins out and recycling in the bags ready for Tuesday. Big Roast Dinner cooked yesterday, everyone happy. Big Roast Dinner cooked today (with added table explosives), everyone happy.Too full for anything more than a mice pie and cup of tea afterward, so the pud will appear with a light supper tonight. No point stuffing them to the gills and making them ill, they have chocolates in their stockings to fill up any gaps. All leftovers saved for the big Boxing Day pie - the puff pastry is in the fridge, and then all back to normal next week.I must say that at work there has not been any sign of people buying less or worrying about money - everything was flying off the shelves. I really hope that people are not thinking that they will get through Christmas and that 2023 will take care of itself... but if they do, at least we are here to help with all our hard earned tricks and tips.Be more turtle!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Merry Christmas turtles!Hope everyone has had a lovely day! I went for a horse ride this morning with OH running alongside, then back home to prep lunch. I've given myself a very nasty cut on the finger that may require treatment but am seeing how it goes
certainly wasn't on my Christmas list!
Had a lovely late lunch with OH eating more food than I thought was humanly possible, he's now asleep on the sofa while I watch trashy TV lol.
Enjoy the festivities whatever you're doing turtles.10 -

Get well soon Mr @f0xh0les. Hope your finger is ok @lcc86. Have a great time @grandmanerd.
Thank you all for you good wishes. Flights to Norway have now been booked 😃 DS2 has decided to stay home, so he can be in charge of feeding the cats! He's 18 now & we have good neighbours next door that he can call on if needed.
Glad you all had a lovely Christmas. I was cooking dinner yesterday, it was probably the best yet! Still have mum here, I gave her a back massage this morning, which she enjoyed. We did a nightclass together @19 years ago.
Will make some lentil soup shortly with the boiled water from the gammon, phone my auntie this afternoon, then take mum home, though will have to check if The Ba' has finished first. The boys Ba' finished quite quickly this morning, but the mens usually takes longer! It's a local tradition, the males from one end of town (The Uppies) are against the ones from the other end (The Doonies). A specially made leather ball is thrown up in front of the cathedral, & each team have to get the ball to a specific place on their side of town. The Doonies have to get theirs in a certain area of the sea in the harbour, not sure about the Uppies. It can be quite rough, so any spectators need to keep on their toes to move out the way quickly!!Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Evening turtles,
Hope the last 2 days have been amazing for you. We had a quiet but enjoyable couple of days ☺️.
Easiest 2 NSDs ever so now 14/15! Nothing left to spend in my account and my fuel light in the car is on so will have to do some jiggling of pots to buy petrol.Still have a week off work so plan to have a lot of walks etc and have a treasure trail in Chester to complete on one of the days. Visiting family tomorrow evening so will try to get out in the morning instead of lazing around like today 😬Lightbulb moment - 17/08/2017 £17,033. Current CC debt £0.00 DFD 31/7/24 🥳.
