Thanks Skint, MF and Lucielle
I had a lovely weekend making art. Work has been quite intense this week... I have my writing evening class tonight.
I'm currently writing a P1P appeal for someone - and got carried away last night and only realised when it was 1am. I then slept badly. I'm only a third way through which is frustrating. I am one of those people that has to write more and then summarise it down at the end.
I get paid tomorrow and am getting slightly more net pay than I budgeted which is nice. However I think my air for my car's air conditioning needs replacing. That could cost between £65 and £130 apparently. TBF my main dealer recommended it over a year ago so I've done quite well but always sad to part with money for things like that.
I queried something on my credit file - will see what they come back with if anything. Not fraud just something missing like my main bank account where all my pay goes intoIt doesn't seem to like that I am not letting my CC's get to the statement point - so may do that so I can maintain high credit rating just in case.
It looks like something could go through on £co this week - so waiting with bated breath to see if that happens as that could be a big help with some of my Am**** subs which are cheaper for coffee, loo roll, tissues etc than buying from Mr A.
I'm expecting to help DD buy a car this coming pay month - so will be taking £1.6K from one account that's paying lower interest while also putting £ into a 5%+ account which will feel slightly weird - but mentally I've separated the funds - and they are in different accounts.
My gas bill came today. They've over-estimated it by about £15. It came in at around £204 but they used an estimate despite it being a smart meter. So I've complained as it wouldn't let me input a meter reading at the time - and my internal smart meter thing is still blank! I'm still over £200 in credit though so feel I've got through the worst of winter hopefully now. Need to try and scale back my use as I've had the heating on a little more recently despite my electric blanket. I blame menopause!
Hope you are all doing well.

That's annoying with the smart meter savingholmes, are the readings appearing on your online account? With the IHD, the BG guy told us that it needed to be closer to the meter to pick up the signal but ours works okay in the kitchen. We don't really look at it so much now, but its a helpful reminder to turn things off."Think of many things, do one"

Ignore the IHD for readings if you need to do those manually for whatever reason. Better by far to do the readings from the physical meter itself - if the installer didn't tell you the button push sequence then a google search will find it for you. If your supplier now won't accept readings from you because it shows you as having a SM then use the online chat facility to send your readings through, and ask them to acknowledge that they are applying them to your account.
On the IHD - when you say it's blank - do you mean there is nothing at all on the screen, or just that it's not connecting to the meter? If the latter, try taking it to the socket nearest to the comms hub (on the electricity meter) and plugging it in there - it may need that more "solid" connection first. If the gas meter isn't connecting to the comms hub then a conversation with your supplier's smart metering team might be needed - they have various options including recommissioning (which can be done remotely as I recall) and at a pinch even a 15 minute main fuse pull - that can sort out issues where the comms hub firmware is causing a problem. It could be worth you downloading one of the apps that can connect to your SMs - Bright is one a lot of folk recommend - as that will at least tell you whether the gas meter is connecting to the comms hub, and just for whatever reason your supplier isn't pulling the readings, or is pulling them but just not using them.
Shame for DD about the driving test. Depending on the things she failed on just some additional time driving practise with family might be enough to make the difference - whether that's a good idea might depend on whether the fail points were technicalities or safety points though. Hopefully she'll be able to get a cancellation which will allow her to have another go before too long though.
Oh - just thought on the credit file - not all banks report back on current accounts - so that may be why your current account isn't showing! Experian have never shown my main personal account at all, and didn't show the old joint account before we moved provider, either.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Sh311 say the smart meter should start working properly within 28 days of install and that hasn't expired yet. I've already moved the inhouse device to the utility which is the wall the gas meter is on.
Interesting on Exp EH - but weird as it shows current accounts from the same bank that I have closed...
DD is now feeling more upbeat about her driving which is good. She's going to download the cancellation app this weekend and try and get a test asap. Once she's passed and we've bought a car - she may trial living at Ex's and see how things go as long as she can keep her bedroom here too so she can see friends easily when they are home. Watch this space!
I photocopied a load of docs to support a P1p appeal for someone yesterday - but still need to finish writing the appeal itself.
I went to my writing class Tuesday night but will continue for my paid for sessions of which I have another 4 but don't currently plan to renew.
My latest dental bridge was hurting yesterday and my face puffed out on that side. Need to stay on top of using anti-inflammatories today so it doesn't become a problem.
I'm at counselling tonight.
I got paid yesterday. Another £450 sent to AVCs. I'm going to send £525 to savings today (helped by no CT this month). I will keep some £ to one side in case I need it for the car air con. Will look into that more...
I cleared £341 off an in-month use of CC. I'm still deciding when to clear the £375 'holiday' amount off - as it's on a 0% card and I can get interest on the same £ if I leave it in savings. I don't want it to get out of control though - so will continue to clear other items as they arise.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

DS failed his test 😢 can’t get one till July but instructor informs me he will sort out a cancellation and it could just be weeks away.I’m surprised as tests are like gold dust so wouldn’t expect anyone to cancel but apparently there was 2 no shows at the centre yesterday 🤷♀️4

My bank accounts took months to show up on my credit report after I switched. Hopefully they'll appear soon.
