Fingers & toes crossed here. Actually being nervous is better than being confident in this situation. At least she has no possiblilty of having the examiner from hell I had. He enjoyed reducing women to tears. They aren't actually supposed to comment on your driving but he did. Eventually there were so many complaints they had to move him & they did to HGV drivers.Oh & yes the a*** had me in tears but what he didn't know was I had been doing practice with my father for a few week by then. Tears were standard practice, I could have driven from John O Groats to Lands End in streaming tears & not put a foot wrong.Years later my father did admit that I was the best driver of us all & I still wonder if he said that to us not just to me.5

Thanks all. Hopefully all will be well. Will know by lunchtime. I've taken half a day off so I can treat DD to a meal out regardless of outcome. She's just been in telling me all that she has to remember and transferred a lot of her anxiety on to me! Just hope for the best for her.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks all. Sadly it wasn't to be. She's thinking of stopping driving lessons and just getting a car and insuring it while waiting for her next test. She therefore wants family members to sit in the car with her and take her out. Need to find a car first.
We're back from the meal. I'm going to take a little longer break and then return to WFH as I finished earlier than planned...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Sorry to hear that. Maybe having family doing the practice could help. As they will be focused on her & her safety. I am afraid that some instructors are not doing too well recently.

@savingholmes - be careful - when mine where learning I thought they couldn't insure the car until they had passed. we had to get learners insurance (eg collingwood) which was for them to drive a car that was otherwise insured. Its been a while so I may be wrong
Plus I'm sorry for your DD - especially with the delays in obtaining a new date
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Sorry about that. Better luck next time. Sometimes, it is helpful to have been through it, you know what to expect the next time and can prepare better. What I do not give, you must never take by force.
