Great news on the mortgage and savings. Well done on catching up with the work and managing to do lots of social things as well"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4

Self care is so important and socialising is part of that process. Enjoy it, as you build resilience to do more. What I do not give, you must never take by force.

I'm pleased DD is feeling better and giving you some space by staying at others.
That's a lot of mortgage paid off in a year and an achievement to be recognised.
Would it be worth a trip to the Dr or nurse, make sure levels are as they should be?Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.4 -
Thanks Jwil, Tahlullah, MF and DIA.
DD has been recommended to go on vitamins before. She's been out of the house a lot of this weekend so nice and restful for me. She did WFH Friday and is due to go in tomorrow so hopefully that will work out okay for her. She has her driving test later this week and is super nervous.
I bought a new tunic dress and two jumpers yesterday from k1ass (£84). I really love them. I also got some 5x7 art panels - 12 for £6 for me to have fun and decorate. This will use up a chunk of my 'float' but I should allocate more of my budget for clothes rather than feel guilty. Because my parents gave me clothes at Xmas - i took out most of the £90 I'd planned to spend on a quarterly basis and shoved it back to the 6 month point. I think as long as this isn't a regular thing it will be fine.
I've done lots of reading recently and it's paid off as I've written over 2,000 words today so a huge leap forward. I've got past a scene I've felt stuck on for over a year - as I suddenly remembered portals were an option. How could I forgetI think knowing I'm joining a writing group with a friend from Tuesday has been motivating so I am hoping I can now make steady progress again.

Fingers crossed for DD. Well done on the writing. I've bought quite a few items of clothing recently but all in the sale, needed some for the office job.

Glad your DD is feeling better.
well done on the writing and getting the stuck scene sorted out. Will look forward to reading book 2.
there are some glimmers of spring - slightly lighter evenings and a few brave clumps of snowdrops - I hope you get the chance to get out into nature and also enjoy your socialising to re-charge.

Thanks Blackcats, Mark and Lucielle
Two out of the three items I bought had some money knocked off in the sale. I'm wearing one of the items today and it feels lovely and has nice design features.
I am enjoying it staying lighter for longer in the evenings. Still quite cold round here though.
I nipped to the shop earlier got a few YS items which saved me a couple of quid. Always nice. Made myself taco mince - using an OOD spice mix, onion and a pepper and YS minced beef from MnS. Had it with jacket spud. Have enough for 2 or 3 more meals.
I still need to decide what seeds to plant and fill up my two new propagators. They have 3 seed trays in each.
I have a meeting first thing tomorrow - so need to be up bright and early... Hope it goes well.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
