You're doing really well and bound to have some procrastination times occasionally.
Lovely to hear dresses have been passed on to DD.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.5 -
I’m quite certain you will make your deadline (was it Wednesday this week?) partly because you got so much done last time with DD, partly because the weather should be getting a bit fresher from today and partly because you have got so much done already. It might be worth considering that your procrastination isn’t just ‘lazing around’ but more of a recharge of the brain and body, particularly the brain. I think we all forget the 101 micro-decisions that still happen when we are working on a project that we think we have planned out. There are always interruptions, unplanned factors, extra things to deal with, memories that interrupt us especially, when decluttering. Your focus and drive is remarkable. Don’t be too hard on yourself if occasionally you need a recharge! 😊

Thanks Beanie and DIA, KajiKita and MF
DD sent me a photo of her wearing the dress yesterday. She looked stunning. So pleased I kept it for her.
KK - You are right on the brain recharging thing. I keep taking photos so I can see the progress. I'm aiming for Wednesday - but just seen storms are due right when I was planning to get the photos done (not booked yet) - so may book Thursday instead. I'm conscious though that I'm in danger of constantly putting it off so just need to put a pin in it so it's done.
DD wants to focus on sorting the garage - and will be doing stuff while I'm out at work. But currently the garage is not photo worthy so will be good to get it done. Also then I'd be able to fit in my last minute items. My cleaner should be able to help me sort the other things. What's left to do is probably a normal person's tidying left to do but for me represents a herculean effort to have got it to that stage and just because of the auto-reject going on in my brain - still therefore a herculean effort to finish.
I am unsure if the engineer is still coming today or not.
I need to make myself log on to work.
Have a good day all - and thanks as ever for the encouragement.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

You can do this! Look at everything you've already achieved and be proud. ((((hugs)))) XXXI Believe.....

You've done an incredible amount so far and genuinely it helps sometimes to give yourself a break to come back to it refreshed. Trying and failing to get going repeatedly just makes everything feel a lot worse than it is and you forget how much you actually have done.Start mortgage date: August 2022; Start mortgage amount: £240,999; Original mortgage free date: August 2056

Thanks Crystal, Jwil and Merlin
You're all right. Thank you.
I booked the photographer for after the cleaner has been on Wednesday and booked half a day off in case there's last minute stuff to do.
I unpacked and packed the dishwasher earlier. It needs unpacking again now...
The wifi guy came this morning and it's working. I just need to send the old router back now.
DD has pretty much finished the art room. I gave it a hoover and then arranged some of my paintings and spare canvases. It looks heaps better now. I still need to fill a few holes and go around with a paint brush when it's dry but getting there. I also need to tidy/arrange my WFH area...
I'll go and do that - and then report back...
Tomorrow I need to take some more stuff to the tip. I also need to go around with a paint brush and touch up the walls etc.

Thanks Skint and Beanie
I painted the skirting board in the bathroom sat on a low stool. I also touched up the banisters.
My lounge and WFH space and my bedroom and kitchen are all messy still but hopefully should be relatively quick to put right once adrenaline kicks in - plus the cleaner coming. DD has two spare cubes in her bedroom I can use and 3 drawers - and DS's room has space for another cube of stuff if I get more organised. The stuff will fit it just needs to start by making it into a cube.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
