Thanks Jwil, Beanie and Sunshine
Well breaking things down into micro tasks is helping. I redid the back step in between the rain and had enough paint left so did the outside of the back door too. I then had a break and did the inside of the front door which was looking yellow.
Had a nice meal out with DD and her BF. DD is going to take some of her stuff to her Dad's tomorrow which should then make her room easier to tidy. Her stuff has also spilled over into DS's room - so again she's going to remove some of that. I'm going to help her with a college assignment. I'm not planning to do more on the house tonight but who knows... It was the right call to delay the photos for practical reasons and because DD wasn't ready. Hopefully getting her more involved will help with that...
Desperately hoping the house I want doesn't get sold before I'm in position to offer. I also need to ring the mortgage company and check the portability and make sure there are no nasty surprises. As again I've got such a good deal it wouldn't make sens to lose it.
The house is getting better - the BF said he can see the difference just in a few weeks which is encouraging and concerning all at onceAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

3 charity bags to go. One trash bag. 2 boot loads of DD's stuff as well. Bless her she's also emptied the top of her wardrobe, a 3 plastic drawer unit and 3 1keA boxes. Makes what's left seem a lot more manageable.
I showed her some of the special dresses I'd been keeping. A few fit her including a full length gown. She was thrilled to bits. I last wore it when she was one.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Still really thrilled with how much DD got done in 3 hours. She also didn't use the pretty boxes I bought so that's another £25-30 of stuff I can return. I feel the finish line for getting the house ready enough is almost in sight. It won't be perfect paint-wise etc but the clutter will be gone which makes a huge difference to the sense of space. My cleaner is due to come again next Wednesday - so thinking of aiming for Wednesday afternoon / Thursday am for the photos. Will check the weather - blue skies on garden photos also help.
I have to go into work today - which will probably be good for me on one level. On another - I have a meeting this afternoon with some fractious people so not looking forward to that. Must remember to take my lunch.
Seeing my counsellor later. I have been talking about wanting to move to the country most of the time I've known her so she will be thrilled at the steps I'm taking to bring that dream closer to reality.

GardenThe list below is all the odd jobs and clutter still to resolve. I won't get it all done - but I'll do more than if I didn't list it.- Finish power washing
- Weed (selected parts only)
- Plant new plants (mostly done)
- Do something with compost bin as packaging soaked - moved so less in view
- Water plants
- Tidy hose back away
- Mow front lawn
- Ideally paint back door step *** WHITE PAINT *** - also did frame and external side of door
- Ideally paint part of shed
- Hide wrapping paper from corner (could put in coat cupboard)
- Move hat off radiator (could put in coat cupboard)
- Tidy and clean shoe cupboard - DD is giving me some pretty shoes to include and has removed others
- Remove carp from on top and just leave plant
- Rehome painting from floor
- Also painted inside of front door
- Move white desk and a small cupboard to garage
- Find a home for what's on or inside it. Rehome crate - check contents.
- Decide what to do with paintings
- Move plant table where the desk currently is.
- Ideally buy a new lamp shade looks so much better
- Move mosaic mirror to DD's room
- Also painted lounge window sill
- Find home for all carp on desk and by the radiator
- Make printer cupboard shut properly. Resolve shelves so don't keep collapsing. Potentially put some stuff inside it!
- Find home for remaining counter items in utility - e.g. cat food, washing powder, kids photo, washing pegs, paintings etc. Alternatively just move for photo. Started - moved cat food into crate
- Hide DD's juice bottles (could be just for photo if needed and then could put back). (See if will fit in her FF or the cupboard in the garage.
- Hide cling film, foil etc - should fit in cupboard to right of the sink.
- Ideally paint window sill *** WHITE PAINT ***
Fourth bedroom/Craft room- Dress the room for the photo. Hide what can in wardrobe. Deal with longer term decluttering at leisure later.
- Fill holes in wall as not going to put shelves back up.
- (Later - Try and sell shelves.)
- Sort remaining corner - perhaps put stuff in crate for now and find somewhere to hide it
- Ideally clean crystals on ceiling lamp as dusty
- Find a solution for the photo & viewings for all the toiletries.
- Touched up paint
- Still need to fill holes ideally
- See if can get latex paint off vinyl floor (it still leaves marks so no real point)
- DD removing half her stuff from there
- Resolve my carp I hid in there for the previous valuation (worst case remove for photo then put back)
- Make room for toy box from landing
- Get floor lamp into corner instead of where DS put it
- Move bedside table back next to bed
- Clear out old text books - put in crate for charity drop off with other crate in the morning on the way to/back from swim)
- Clear corner next to wardrobe and the top of wardrobe
- Remove desk
- Ideally paint landing window sill *** WHITE PAINT ***
- Move toybox to end of DS's bed to my art room
- Move any remaining carp to wardrobe of fourth bedroom or bin / donate
- Find a crate or something to put all her surface clutter in
- Dress room and make it look prettier
- Touch up paint in her room
- DD has created empty spaces in her room I can use for other parts of house decluttering!
