Unsurprisingly I'm aching and creaking today
I need to celebrate the wins I have had over the last week:- DD sent me the money she owed me.
- I was able to have Friday off at short notice.
- I had help from the handyman and cleaner.
- I've found an EA I'm comfortable using and that feels affordable.
- I had a meal out with a friend on Monday night - and met her again for a swim and lunch Saturday.
- My cat is super soft.
- My bedroom looks awesome with it's new white, green and grey bedspread - it really transforms the room and I'm grateful. The use of existing bedding in the kids' rooms in a different way also worked.
- The garden and patio looks heaps better now its been power washed, had the lawn mowed and some of the weeds removed from between the cracks - and a little new planting. Delaying the photos gives more time for my bedding plants to put on a spurt and flower and grow.
- The handyman repainted my kitchen ceiling. My newly painted tiles in the kitchen make it much cleaner and brighter in there again. I found a bin yesterday that I really like and that's small enough to be out of camera range for the photos. I got a new huge pot plant in a corner opposite an existing massive mirror - bringing more of the greenery of the garden inside. I'd already styled an open shelf earlier in the week and I love it. I think for the photos I'd remove everything from the counter tops with the possible exception of a metal fruit bowl with bright green apples.
- I've restyled the hall with a lovely arch gold mirror and a misty woods canvas. I've done my shoe cupboard top - but would want to have pretty shoes on the cupboard for the photo (so may need to borrow some of DD's LOL). I will then clean it.
- I cleared 2 pieces of furniture out of the lounge and a crate and some of its contents. I've styled the room how I want it - I just need to finish clearing the excess crap and giving it a home.

Sounds amazing.
DDs are always a good source of pretty shoes. I'm wearing a pair of my DD's cast off sandals today. I suspect she only wore them once!

good work on rearranging the appointment without charge - and even better work to be getting ready. it just takes forever so don't fret too much. but fretting a little is OK as you don't want to give buyers the chance to take advantage and knock chunks off your target priceI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Thanks Beanie, MF, Jwil, Blackcats and Mark
Well I've taken it a lot easier today. I got out of going into work and WFH instead which helped. I have returned 3 items so £37 back in the kitty. I did however spend £28 even after £5 off at BnQ - but I got a lovely peace lilly, 3 light bulbs, orchid feed and 3 semi circle plant holders to keep my white hydrangeas in position. I am struggling to find canvases I like for the neutrality game - so I'm going to have some fun and paint some. I got 3 canvases for 2 at HC for £21 - in my defence I have lot of paint I need to use up!! The canvases are a different shape to the ones I currently have which are all too thin or too small.
This weekend I found my laser measurer which is great for next time I go to a viewing and a missing sandal! It took me a while but I also found the grey blue paint I'd used in 4 rooms (3 bathrooms and a feature wall) - inside a wardrobe obviously - where else would it be!!! I was convinced I still had it and didn't want to buy a new one. It means I can now touch up the paint where needed. I've found the paint shade I need for DD's room in the utility cupboard too.
I took your advice and went to N*nd0s for tea. I barely ate yesterday and didn't drink enough either. I then went and got my prescription. I'm now getting some free water for the garden - aka rain which is handy.

Thanks Beanie. You'd be welcome...
I have now touched up the jade spot in DD'S room with dark grey. It's years old so worst case will have to get a sample or repaint wall. It seemed very light. Hoping it dries darker.
I touched up the blue grey paint but came across 4 holes I need to fill and then paint over.
That took less than 20 mins and has been outstanding for years. Oops.
I spent 2 enjoyable hours creating a painting. Hope it dries well. Greens, blues, silver and a touch of lilac.
One of my sisters wanted to point out all the cons to my proposed move. I told her I needed encouragement instead and she had to stop. Boundary held...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I'll need to continue my art work tonight but it's nice to have that to look forward to.
I've found the grout and a tool for filling the holes which is good. The bad news is that the paint dried a different colour in both the bathroom and DD's room so I'll have to paint at least a section of wall in each. I think I can get away with just sections - as they'll assume shadows are causing the difference in colour hopefully! It makes my list longer though. I need to go back over a patch in the downstairs cloakroom as that had white filler underneath and the white is still showing through. I'll try that in the upstairs bathroom as well as that was raw plaster - before I give in and paint the whole wall. There's also a hook on the bathroom wall that should have been removed previously but never was - but I might just leave that.
I've counted up my spending and it was a lot - so need to work out what more I can return without compromising my 'vision' she says grandly. Fortunately I got my p1p £150 today - so sent that and another £255 to the CC today. I also sent £25 to savings.
I've put the dishwasher on - that gets points too right?? I'd best finish getting ready and start work.
Have a good day y'all. Feel my progress has slowed back to a crawl. I am really poor at maintenance - so get a horrid shock when I return to a room that in my head was done - and it's now festooned with my or DD's untidiness again...
