Bailiff Knocked on the door yesterday

Yesterday had unpleasant visitor at my door. Bailiff chasing goods or £.
I would very much appreciate any suggestion on what to do!

on 25th October 2022 have discovered that there is a CCJ on my name (found out on clearscore) dated with 20th of October.
Next day have called the CCBC for details and found out that DCBL and Highview parking were the claimants for 3 parking tickets dated with 2019 (2 on the same day and 1 a week later)
Same day have printed the trustonline with a bit more details. Noticed that the address was the old one. Have moved from those premises about 1.5 years ago
Also have called DCBLtd (yes i know i shouldn't) to find out details of the case. They said that the case has been forwarder to other company and couldn't provide with any information. At this point i have opened Google where i have found this forum!
Spent about a week on reading the comments.

Inspired by all of you :), have submitted the application n244 with related docs: 5 Proofs of addresses (bills, current tenancy agreement, V5 and other), Draft Order (used one of forum's template) and WS (also inspired here). All of this i have sent as pdf docs to [email protected] Next day 4th of November gave them a call to make a payment of 275 pounds. Surprise, surprise, the operator said that there is a Writ of Control issued with my case and as instructed by the same operator, i should re-submit n244 but this time to include that i request to Stay the writ. Later when got back home from work, have found the letter "Notice of Enforcement" and the amount of 920 pounds and deadline 13th of November. I go - yeah,  something new to me !

A few sleepless nights reading forum's threads.
on 7th November have re-submitted the new n244 but this time to my local High Court, and this is because CCBC told me to do so as there is a Writ of Control. Have called local court to make payment, another surprise, the court refuses to receive payment as the case is still with CCBC and any payment due i have to deal with them. Now have called back CCBC and asked them to take the payment in support of my application. Another surprise, i've been refused again, and the same story they've told me as before: Call your local High Court. About an hour i have negotiated with them and in the end they have accepted the payment of 14 pounds only as this is the only fee for this type of application (Stay the writ and set aside - combined). SAR sent to Claimant's DPO

A few days later on 11th received a phone call from local Court asking me to pay 275 :((((((((((((((((((((.  I go - why? i have a written instruction that the due payment is only 14 pounds. Nah, said the operator, you still have to pay 275, are you willing to pay or not? - i go -Yes!

Every conversation i've had  with CCBC and local Court, i was assured that the Stay the writ shall be in place before the deadline mentioned on enforcement letter.

Sadly, Tuesday morning while i was at work, the bailiff agent knocked on my door. He asked my wife to call me for a small conversation. I have told him that the application for stay the writ was paid on 7th and the application has been submitted. He didn't care. I've been given 30 min to pay the amount of 1600 pounds to DCBL. While i was making the  payment, the arrogant guy started to sneak through my underwear. My wife said that she didn't gave any permission to search through our personal belongings and told him that will call the police. He said that he is the enforcement and he is in legal rights to act like that. :(

Same evening i have wrote a complaint to my local Court with details of what happened
also another complaint to DCBL about the inappropriate behaviour of the agent.

I feel like i have to share my experience with MSE. Was looking for similar stories/threads but couldn't find any (i would much appreciate of a link)

My guess is that sooner or later there will be a judge allocated to my case. Now i have a logical question: is this the end? I mean, DCBL have taken the payment and what happens next? just live with it? case closed? lost 1600 + 275 +14 +sleepless nights ?

Looking forward hearing from any of you soon.

IMO you need expert help with this so look for a solicitor with experience in cases like this.
Regulars on here will give great advice and have lots of experience but mostly are not legal experts.
You MUST contact your MP, a personal visit to their surgery is best take a written summary with you.
I am not an expert this is just my opinion.

Agree. I didn't. I was at work. My wife did unfortunately. He cheated a bit - he said that he needs to sign the paperwork and need a bench to put the docs on!

Morning sorry to hear of your troubles. Never let the bailiff near your property and keep all doors locked.
    Some advice here https://www.gov.uk/your-rights-bailiffs
  • Actually your case sounds EXACTLY like that of @SoJacob and she got hers overturned and the monies refunded. She also paid £14.  Read her long thread.

Can you clarify please: what is the date of the CCJ?  Your account suggests the CCJ was dated 20th October, less than a month ago?

Can you show us the Writ please?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
