1152 points for us (or £1.44), saving 79% compared to our average use. Apparently we also saved more than 'other, nearby octopus users' but that bit has disappeared from the page on a second look.

It was also good for my mental health too to be away from a screen for a few hours. Normally i am at a screen from the very second i wake up, to the very second i fall asleep. In-fact i normally fall asleep to Richard Osman's House of Games on iPlayer, so yeah, this has been good for me.

It's slightly confused by the fact that you earn Octopoints and not £ - with Octopus free to choose what each point is worth - and also free to put on a cap.

All we know is that it is unlikely to exceed £3/kWh because that's what Octopus will get paid by Grid.

We saved 51% which amounted to £1.07 This equates to aproximately 0.5kWhr over the two time slots. We didn't actively increase our usage in the hours before, other than to make sure I had boiled the kettle for a cup of tea just before 5pm.

I've earned 672 octopoints, £0.84. Reducing consumption by 82%. 

Hoping the next session is 6-7pm or 7-8pm for greater savings.

What on earth is a person doing that it's even possible to save that much? Are they smelting iron or something?

As an extremely low user averaging 1 kWh per day I was not going to bother, however I am by nature extremely competitive
