I got rudely awakened by OHs alarm this morning and couldn't get back to sleep - good thing as as he was pulling off the driveway he called me to say the driveway people are here and I need to move my car! So much for my lie in. I'm debating going for a swim this morning and then stopping into Aldi on the way home to pick up some groceries. Sounds stupid but I hate having workmen around, I find it so awkward if I want to go out or whatever
I've started a little to do list for the day and will add to it with the Flylady tasks too. The bedding does need doing so so far my list looks like -
1) Strip bed
2) X 2 laundry loads
3) Put away dry clothes in airer
4) Put away clean clothes in back bedroom
5) Dishwasher
6) Write Christmas cards
7) Send Christmas cards
8) Sort through the baby clothes we've been given - a good friend pointed out I'd be best off putting them into age and 'type' categories (we've got 5 tesco bags full from a different friend just hanging out in our back bedroom atm).
9) Order some vacuum bags for the above baby clothes to go into until little one arrives
10) Organise my diary for the next couple of weeks - I have a creative approach to this so tend to use lots of stickers and decorations which takes some time but is a fun creative outlet
11) Wipe down counters
12) Persuade OH to hoover
13) Swim
14) Grocery shop
I'll try and get 1, 3, 4, 5 and 9 done before I head out for a swim; I'd like to go for the lunch time slot around midday as I find that quieter and then I get home before the school traffic.£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January9 -
Morning all,
WAC sentry reporting in. 2.30am is the new 6am, it seems. Onwards and upwards, at least I’m on leave again from work today.
Laundry shuffle done. It seems to be all that I’m capable of these days. HHI to boot, so ironing pile has been temporarily defeated. Dw on. Next job - freezer Tetris as DD is taking back some hm ready meals with her, so I don’t want to lose that opportunity to get a few things out of the freezer. But I need to unearth them first.
Lunch out with DD then we are taking her back to the uni city. DH is driving as that would send my anxiety sky high. He isn’t phased.
KMN9 - I feel exactly the same about having workmen around, so stressful.
Right off to attack the freezers. If I’m not back later, please come and pull me out from under the frozen beans….
Have a good day all x8 -

Just writing my shopping list now. I've booked a later than I normally would swim and will do the shopping before I go so I don't get stuck in school traffic.

Raphael, I've watched your "Welcome to the Zoo Room" video first, and am almightily impressed with the speed of your decluttering and James's decorating! Can you work your magic on me please?)
Had to pop to the post office for work today, so got my quote and messaged the guy. Not had an answer so hopefully he's not ghosted me, but at least I now know for the next person.
Finish editing the next video.
Get postage quote for posting a scorpling.
Pay leftover cash into the bank and onto the CC.
Usual pet chores.

The cane toad has been finished off
Here are before and after photos of my grandmother's sewing table - it was missing its bottom drawer where she used to keep her knitting. It's only taken me about 10 years to get round to doing this
Now I suppose I shall have to start knitting again!
