*sneaks in at the back and sits down, pretending I have been here all along....
Good afternoon 😁
Thank you ladies for the lists - it is appreciated. I'm sorry I have been awol!
I am waiting for a phone call from the vet - the crazy kitten has gone in for her op today. She is so desperate to get outside - hopefully she will calm down a bit when she is able to go out 🙏 It will be in about 10 days. I am also hoping that she will have less "accidents" indoors! 🤬 On that note, I have pulled back the vinyl in the hallway and scrubbed the floorboards, and also behind the armchair. Hopefully the smell of cat pee will subside!!
A fairly productive day - meal plan & food shop done, 2 x WM (dried in TD), WU done, cat pee cleaned, DH bossed into putting up the new smoke alarm, table cleared & wiped, prescription picked up & flu jab done at the same time, DHs car booked in for mot & service.
After I have picked up crazy kitty (who will hopefully be sleepy kitty) I am going to settle down to do some knitting.
KMN Hugs to you. Don't listen to the Debbie downers! Pigpen is absolutely right in everything she said.
HB Take it easy lovely, pace yourself!
Valli the same to you! 😁
Hugs, sticks & spoons to those that need them x7 -
Grr, I don't seem to be able to log into F'book at the moment. Congratulations on doing a thing though Pigpen, because I know how big a deal A Thing can be.Secret Santa DMs have been sent. If you told me you wanted to be involved and haven't received on by the end of the day (I have no idea how quickly these things get through) please let me know.A tadpole has been dealt with.I have had a basket of golden bows on my desk for a few weeks waiting for me to wrap some presents. The large black cat (Higgs) has been raiding it for toys every day, sometimes twice a day, so they're chewed and scattered all over the house. He's now trying to hatch the ones that are left, so that's the end of them unless Belovéd doesn't mind them a bit squashed. They certainly won't be in a fit state to give to other people.I've spent the morning tidying things up. Every space I've created over the past 10 Flying years has been occupied with gibble by Belovéd while he's been responsible for all the Flying. He regards all space, clear shelves, gaps in drawers, wardrobe railing you can see, spare hooks and clear surfaces generally as meant for him. *gnash*Better is good enough.8

I think they instant tbh.. no waiting around.5 items parcelled and postage sorted.. they are being collected tomorrow.
I sorted the gibble from the cupboard under the sink and threw 3 things in the bin.

After half a night in the WAC plus swirling mist this morning, a run was not appealing.
However, I did a final check on the lounge and bedroom and put away clean clothes.
Financial advisor.....advised......tricky decisions for one who doesn't do decisions, but got on with him well so I think I'll let him sort out the pension stuff.
Wardrobe planner arrived a bit late which gave us time for a quick lunch after the financial man. 2 of the things we'd put on our list won't fit or be practical in our awkward shaped room, but after a lot of juggling he managed to come up with something Mr N and I both liked and that he said would work. Eek to the cost, a bit more than we'd hoped but we had no idea really. He had a quick look at the under stairs dumping ground but after I'd clarified that there were no extra special deals to be had if we ordered the understairs to be 'cupboarded' as well as the wardrobes, we've just ordered the latter.
The rest of the evening should be taken up with report writing and preparation for tomorrow and Weds assessments. I say should.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
Hi all
Tough day, but it's done. I took DS1 for his new Crohn's treatment which meant driving 25 miles to the big city, I then called into a ridiculously busy supermarket to get a sandwich and drink for DS, and then waited in the car until he was done. Then drove back to drop DS off at home and went straight into work to do 5 hours at the paid stuff including a tricky meeting.
And tomorrow its back into work no later than 8.30am for another busy day. Hope I sleep a bit better tonight. DS is staying here so at least I am not fretting about him having a reaction to the treatment when I am not around (OK I know he is 23, but still).
Have put a load of washing in, loaded DW and swished kitchen worktops. That's it for flying.

Hello,
Much of the night in the WAC yet again, followed by a tough day at work here as well. But now I am off for 3 days, and DD should be coming home tomorrow.
Easy stir fry dinner cooked, kitchen tidied, HHI to clear the pile, 15 minutes exercise done, mending done. Pleased with the fact that I have actually started the week by doing something before flopping.
Hoping for a reprieve from the WAC tonight, having kept sentry watch for the past 3 nights.8 -
Crazy kitten is back from the vets. She is still crazy! Even crazier in the cone of shame!! She wobbled about, at speed, bashing into walls, tables & whatever else. The cone lasted about 5 minutes! We retrieved her from under the sofa, and replaced the cone - a few times - before putting her back in her box to rest. She managed to get the cone off in there by bashing against the box, so we gave up. A medivest is on order, due tomorrow. Let's hope she doesn't do herself any damage in the meantime! 🙏 I am hoping she crashes for the night 🤞
I hope the WAC is empty tonight! Night night all x8 -
dinner and pack ups done.DW emptied and reloaded.
bins out and the dead freezer for collection.
GI.. Hazel nearly ripped her head off when she had a cone after her eye op.. keep her calm they said and put that on her!! We had to pin her to the floor to cut the thing off, she had all 4 feet in it! It lasted about 15 seconds after we got her out of the carrier. One did a bit of licking of her glue but she was a floofy mog and the untrimmed hair was poking the sore bit.. I trimmed the hair a bit more and she was fine. We have never had an issue with any of ours. How is the grandbaby doing?Nest time I think.. busy day tomorrow.. and Wednesday.. and Thursday.. I am going to wallpaper Thursday.. I was going tomorrow but I have a nail appointmnt at 10 and postire collecting parcels and a plumber coming (hahahahaha) and I may have Pixie off school. She is really not right at all. I don't know if she is just plain unhappy tbh. She has permanent headache, not eating as much, really tired and just generally lethargic.. that sounds like she is depressed to me.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)8 -
Morning all
I was keeping an eye on things in the WAC last night Fayolle. Well to be more accurate its the restless/dreaming club for me because I wasnt actually wide awake, but not properly asleep either.
So I will kick off the day with 20 minutes yoga, then get ready for the paid stuff. DW on, WM to go on in a few minutes with some white tops. DH will be home today I think as heavy rain is forecast all day so he can fly if I leave him a list.
Have a good Tuesday all, see you later x9 -
Morning all. I hope you all avoided the WAC.
First cuppa being slurped then I'm off to shower. The plan was to get out early with Poppet before the rain but I think it's already too late for that.
Will report back with flying.
Is Round ok?Spend less now, work less later.7
