    £15.19

Bought us up to £194.26 a little shy of the £200 mark but not bad for 6 sessions and one emergency session. We missed 6 in total the first 5 due to eon next not including us and one where they did when we already signed up with loop which invalidated us taking part.

My best so far - bringing my total to a massive £3.88

Over the course of the event you reduced your use by 655Wh and earned £1.64. Well done!

I am a low user anyway - but was off work the afternoon of the event, so put on washer, dryer, hoover, and also cleaned out the fishtank between 2.30 and 5.30.

Too late now, with the trial ending, but if you can find a friendly neighbour with an electric car and a 3 pin charger it's a win, win. Charging on a 3-pin for the 3 hours of IDA would be 3x 3kwH x 0.35 (assuming capped rate) = £3.15. That would increase your expected rate by 3kwH, netting you £7.50 from Loop. Profit = £7.50-3.15= £4.35 and a grateful neighbour.

Does your leaf charge at 3kw on the granny charger?  Ours is only about 2.2-2.5.
    I think....

You're welcome. I started by posting details of the Loop scheme for info thinking that as I was a low user I woudn't be able to benefit, but as it worked out I've ended up making nearly £200 (gross) by shifting use to the IDA period - result! Like others here I've been scrupulous about not wasting energy by doing any daft fan heater in the garden stuff even though that would have made money, although some of my use has been from E7 night hours so my profit is more like £160.

I assume that's it now although I suppose it's just possible there will be another event this week. I wonder when we'll get the Amazon vouchers?

And what's the betting on a similar scheme next winter, or will "proper" TOU tarriffs make this redundant by then?

Just had an email from Loop asking me to submit a form stating whether i wanted Amazon vouchers or to donate to charity (National Energy Action).

"We're paying out savings via Amazon vouchers. But if you'd rather donate your savings to charity, please select this in the form and we'll donate your savings to National Energy Action (NEA) - a fuel poverty charity helping those unable to afford home heating.

It's your choice, so let us know by filling in the form. If you decide on Amazon vouchers, please allow some extra time for us to process your request. If you don't submit your response by 30th June, your payment will be automatically donated to charity. Don't worry - we'll send reminders before that happens."

    Sorry I missed this question.

I have only charged it on the proper charger and get 6.6kw. I assumed that because it was capable at charging at 6.6kw from the car end, on a 3kwH charger it would give the 3kw, but I may be wrong. As it turned out, both cars weren't ever at home for the time of the IDA, though OH was reluctant for us to charge both at the same time in case the Tesla 7 kwh + the Leaf on the granny at ?3 would blow the electrics somewhere, in which case the money saved would more than be spent on an electrician!

Ha ha - bet you have a beefier supply than we do and we were running up to a constant 18kw during the saving sessions, we regularly do about 14kw overnight - I think on a 100a main fuse you can do up to about 23kw.

    I think....
