Yes, welcome back mumzy and hello everyone else.
Overspent at Lidls today. Was aiming for £60 for 2 weeks. Have actually spent about £86. £10 of that was on premium sausages (the only kind I will eat). The packs were reduced from £1.75 to £1.00 so I bulk bought and they are in the freezer. We live sausage pasta, sausage casserole with mash, and if we're being super-frugal we use sausages instead of meat for a roast dinner. Lovely.
Am pleased with what we've bought, which does include potatoes for hm chips, burgers and ice cream, waffley biscuity things etc for Valentine Day.
DS has invited us to aunty's for pancake day so that will be nice next week. (Pancake Day is the 5th Feb - get yer lemons out, girls). Best have some frugal tips for pancake day - I'm a sugar and lemon girl. Brother likes ketchup on his and nothing else. DS has chocolate. OH has jam.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

Hi everyone, and welcome back Mumzy!
FunBrum, you may have done this already but how about getting cashback when you switch providers? We've just bought ourselves a dishwasher for £55 using some of the cashback we got recently - £60 for BG and £32 for the phone service where you talk twice! We tend to use the Company that gives you Quids...
How foolish have I been?! I realised last night that my month actually ended yesterday as I started on the 31st Dec - I wanted to do my month analysis there and then but OH would not have been pleased. I'm not meant to be on here now (shhh!) as we're meant to be having a day off of 'doing things' but I had to PM Nyk so have used that as an excuseWhen he goes out tonight, I'll be racing up here to work it all out; I'm so excited! :rotfl:
BTW, don't forget there's free bingo on the bingo site that fits into this phrase - swimming ____ - and also in the real world if you have one near you. We're off in a bit for some free entertainment and to see if we can get lucky (it best be entertaining and not infuriating when I don't win anything ). Have a frugalicious day all, see you later on xThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Just catching up, I think I've got the correct names in correct places. The post number for the FCC membership is in my signature (no link, as we aren't allowed to include links in sigs without permission from the forum police)

I have my measurements, So people don't think I have lost the plot, I am actually aiming in the opposite direction to everyone else, I am hoping to build and tone, so my numbers look backwards
Starting 256inches, aiming for 263.5 this works out at an even 1/2 inch gain EVERYWHERE.
Can I include the 5flights of stairs I have to combat on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at college, at least twice a day. Hi Nykmedia
OK I am going to be brave....please could you join me up as a by proxy sufferer to the FCC. I have weighed myself today and am ok weightwise but would like to break myself of the post Christmas snackette habit I seem to have developed:D and as I said before try to get the wibbly bits from wobbling quite so much. I'm not known for my love of exercise [I do tend to walk everywhere] [I'm in the Joan Rivers school of thought..."When I see a jogger smile I'll consider it"] but shall aim for 15mins plus either jogging on the spot indoors whilst watching the TV or listening to music [haven't yet worked out how to combine indoor wobbling whilst being on MSE but where there's a will there's a way:rotfl: ] and like last night several trips up and down the stairs all in one hit [managed 20 last night] If I don't call it "exercise" psychologically I'm more likely to do it. Bear with me half a brain today and I'd be dangerous.
See you fellow frugal challengers later!

Hi Mumzyof 2, good to have you back.:D
Nyk, am going to do measurements tomorrow morning.
I'm going to get a 25kg sack of potatoes from the village corner shop for my grocery challenge, so that will be some extra exercise as I carry them home (normally less than 5 min walk, but with that weight:eek:)0
