Ummmm do I have to be an official 4k for a year member to do FFC or can addictees (is that a word??) of the thread join whether officialy signed up or
I think anyone should be able to join Feb's FFC. My OH is doing both the challenge and the fitnesss one by default (or he will be very lonely!)
Nyk, I need to lose about a metre but reality is that if I even lose a centimetre that would be good. (My tape measure is one with a massive red area that is supposed to scare me into losing weight but it didn't). However, I can't get motivated by such small amounts. So can my target just be 29 FFC units, where 1 unit is a walk or 100 bops.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

Let's hope we all find them at the end of Feb!

Hello fellow frugalers, I am really looking forward to starting at the frugal fitness club on Friday and have just realised something rather awful.... my figure converts to almost 24 1/2 FEET
Can I pretend to by 8' 6" tall?
Have added in the names of those taking part so far, it's just for fun and I believe we've managed to [STRIKE]trap[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]entice[/STRIKE] attract an addictee/proxy member too :T :T :T
Anyone donning lycra for this? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Hi guys, lol! I think I'll join the FFC too but with slightly different criteria (aren't we a picky lot
). Hmm, not sure what those criteria are...:rotfl:Um, well I'll have a think and get back to you but put me down too please Nyk.
First lesson back went well, despite the kids being lil' b*ggersIt was hard work but I enjoyed it (even more at the thought of £20 catchup money winging its way to me soon
)
Mum is giving me £15 in HB vouchers, result! And I've banked £28.46 in shrapnel (change). Itching for the month to end so I can add everything up and improve in Feb
BTW, one of my friends on another thread got her Times pedometer today so I'll feedback if they're any good when I know. The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Just did a fresh budget plan and am in the green for the first time ever!!!:j If I stick strictly to my targets I will have £5.01 left a month after all bills i.e.,mortgage,council tax, gas, elec,tv licence, all insurances etc, food and debt payments.I have not allowed any spending for xmas and birthdays:eek: and this will have to be neutral spending,i.e.whatever extra money I can make via ebay, dog walking etc I can spend on these big one off things.
Getting there slowly, very slowly, but getting there none the less:D ."Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0 -
Spent £7.20 today. Or at least, I spent £2.20 and DH  spent £5 on a fillet steak
 I really don't understand male logic when the freezer is full to bursting with all kinds of meat.
I think I will have to remove all access to frugal funds or there may be the first frugalcide (adjective meaning a person murdered by a frugal spouse for exceeding allocated budget).0 -
Unexpected windfall found £1.01 in the rubber seal round the washing machine :j
Is this counted as "catch up" money? I actually think it may belong to DH but he hasn't mentioned losing any money so could I legitimately claim it?0 -
wornoutmumoftwo wrote: »No. i'm not fussy as long as they look good, unfortunately the polo shirts have the badge on them as well, so does the sweatshirt and they wear a sort of bomber jacket on top, no blazer. I'm thinking of getting three polos and three sweatshirts and then one jacket as I work on a wear one/wash one/spare one policy but I can't believe the prices £8.50 an item!
Trousers i'd get from Tesco as I don't have an asda near me and the pairs I bought him for nursey were waist adjustable and they still look as good as new after two years.
It is my five year old starting in August but he was deferred from starting last August when he should have, there is a slim possibility that my 4 year old will be starting in August as well as he is in preschool year but I'm hoping he'll be deferred too as I don't want them in the same school year.
If I wasn't in this challenge though I doubt I'd have had a spare fiver to even put in the school uniform fund so once again thanks to NYK and everyone else here who is keeping me going.:T
Just got a few ideas for you - firstly I went to Barnados shop yesterday and they have been given loads of Gifts in Kind which are school uniform. This means they come direct from the shop I guess surplus stock etc. I managed to get two John Lewis school shirts 28 pence each - brand new. They are too big at the mo but are in the drawer. Not sure if this is the same for Barnardos shops everywhere but worth a look. They had sweatshirts, trousers etc. I bet you will find that some parents have 'spare' polo shirts without the logo £8.50 is a rip off! In the winter you can't see what they are wearing under their sweatshirt anyway. Other really good place to try at the moment is BHS - got huge sale on and especially loads of small school uniform so good for trousers. This was in Gloucester so again not sure if it is everywhere. Best buy was a PE skirt in burgundy for £1.50 - these are really expensive usually and they don't sell them in Asda etc Maroon is wrong colour for us though  Good luck
