    I've been Money Tipped!
    Can I join the FFC as well?My frugal exercise will be puppy walking and training and using the low impact (from Help the Aged so should be ok for someone with cfs) ) fitness dvd I have had for about 6 months and never used. My figure adds up to 292.5 inches Today has been another no spend day! bails - congrats on the job! It is lovely to be working again and doing a job you love isn't it? I am finding pacing the key to keeping energy levels as stable as poss.I did a training shift last week so that should net me about £12 but won't get that until next month but will count it as catch up money! have another 2 training sessions to come.I have loads of veg (from the vegbox deliveries) piling up in the fridge so tomorrow the slow cookers will go on, one with veg soup and the other with a bung it all in type bolognaise sauce. I have containers ready to freeze the surplus so that should be about 10 portions sorted.
    Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

    Jan grocery challenge £35.77/£120
  • Onto the final countdown for this month! I am so excited about tomorrow when I get my interest on my savings and can tot up my month's spending it is quite unbelievable. I've just been looking through my online accounts and it seems that I can do food/travel/wine etc. per week on £60 and the other money in the £330 goes on direct debits etc.

    Previously I've tried to only pay with cash and take it out at the start of each week but I've never managed it even for one week. I love this challenge! I'm a little worried about Friday as it's going to be a pretty big out on the town party night, so I'm going to have to keep a close eye on my spending that night.

    I spent £11.60 today.

    Here's another for the frugalictionary: frugalgarden - someone's who's just starting out on frugalising. Today I joined frugalgarden by going to Tesco for cheese and buying, wait for it...cheese. And nothing else. This is the first time in my entire life I haven't added two or three supplementary items to the thing I went in to buy when food shopping.

    Next stop frugalschool and then frugalversity! Once I graduate with frugal(hons) I will feel able to post some tips on this site!

    frugalversity :D

    If we could get a grant, that would mean the government were paying students for nothing (obviously there would be no tuition fees)

    Can I join this challenge too please? I've been following-ish it for a while. I actually tried to join the other night, but I am new to this and I must have hit the 'delete message' button instead of the 'post message' button!

    Except I would like to try and be uber-frugal and do £2000 this year:eek: - (everything except mortagage/council tax/life, contents & building insurance, boiler cover, factoring fees).

    I think I can do it - I was born a frugal-baby!

    Todays savings - went to ikea & had free hot chocolate, and 2 ice creams using vouchers. Replaced a broken blind - they refunded me for a larger size, so I accidentally made a profit of £5 :T:T:T also got some fairy lights and wrapping paper reduced to 20p

    January aim = £ 166.67 p/m
    spent = £110.04

    YIPEEEEEEEEEEEE!

    I just have me to look after on that - well, me, my hamster, and my two fishies!

    Just tried my new fairy lights - they are green and jewel-ly, feel like I'm in the emerald city!
