I've just cashed in the last of my premium bonds. My parents bought me £25 in 1984, never won a thing! At least NS&I are paying my wages for 3 months, never got anything else out of them :rotfl:

    Finally, a NSD!

Mind you, I have cheated a bit and asked DH to pick up a pint of milk on his way home. Does that still count?

    Jumble-Bee, those lollies sound lovely!

are you thinking of lolly-lollies? I made ice lollies. Actually i made so many i ran out of ice lolly moulds and ended up freezing the last two bananas whole stuck on chop sticks! i think iv done that before, but dipped in chocolate to make them look less stupid and more lolly-like ....

oh well they im sure I will enjoy chewing on them one day when im craving something sweet!

  • So - end of month for me and I'm £19.88 over budget for January. Don't mond too much though as I bought baking stuff so that I can start baking again :0 (and hopefully freeze some of it as I'm on my own and don't have much willpower!).
This means I have £3617 left for the year -
    £75 per week
    £313 for February
(figures rounded down to spare Nyk from a financial OCD attack :) )

NYK - please could you add me to the FFC - I will need to let you have my figures tomorrow when I can find a tape measure.

Janey51 - I have also had weight loss surgery (in 2006) but for various reasons have not been as successful as hoped - surgeon is talking about a revision if I don't start losing again so this challenge should give me the boot up the backside that I need.

I will be walking more and using the step box and weight machine that I already have lurking in the spare bedroom collecting dust.

    Bring it on!!
