Ionafan My Mum's solution after her op last year when she couldn't lift, was to hang a fabric shopping bag on the bedroom door handle for her dirty washing then, when full (less full than a conventional laundry basket would be thus lighter), throw it down the stairs. It wouldn't work for anything breakable though......
Roused from our tea in bed this morning by the builders bearing their quote and wanting to do a final measurement - cue me hiding in the bathroom. Quote accepted so they will start tomorrow at some unearthly hour (for us); Mr N happy with the quote both for relocating the dormer eaves cupboard doors and re-pointing behind the gas fire (wood burning stove lookalike) in the lounge (I hadn't noticed anything wrong with it!). So I hastily emptied one of the eaves cupboards before going to the gym and Mr N did the other one this afternoon.
Went to gym.
Stopped on way to uni to look for bedside lamps as we need 2. Didn't find any which weren't ghastly so will keep looking.
Long session at uni with delightful lady I'm likely to give a provisional ADHD diagnosis to. Late home exhausted!
Had reply from financial advisor I'd picked to make sense of my recent pension statement; bit disappointed it was the new partner of the one I'd hoped for, but I shouldn't start off negative so will email him shortly to make an appt for next Monday....a couple of hours before the wardrobe planner arrives. Think my head will explode with all this domesticity.
Man delivering fence panel didn't turn up or notify, not impressed as we've known him for years.
Had long discussion with my brother who'd kindly gone to Mum's GP appt to make sure she got reasonable and true explanations to GP; she doesn't have memory issues but she is poor at explaining things. After the fiasco with the receptionist 2 weeks ago palming her off about the heart monitor saying it wasn't important and she could discuss it at today's appt, even after the GP said yes go ahead, she still said oh we can't fit it in for 2 weeks. DB pointed out that nearly 3 weeks ago, the consultant at hospital had said Mum should have one so they've been waiting already. Receptionist mumbled and backed off, miraculously finding an appt for tomorrow so DB is staying overnight to make sure Mum gets there on time.
Right I'd better get off before the builders come!Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -

DH got on well at the horse piddle, but Rosie's walk was cut short by the rain and I was so tired this evening that I forgot to ring the dog walker again. Hoping that I will sleep better tonight and have a better day tomorrow.8 -
The carpet I’ve ordered for the bedrooms is being fitted next Thursday. So flying deferred while stuff moved downstairs.
im in hospital waiting for my picc line.ETA. Fitted and I’m home. Warming my arm with a wheat bag as per instructions but I’ve forgotten exactly why I am to warm it. And I’ve got a stinging bit where something happened to a tiny area of skin then the alcohol rub hit it and I yelped like a wuss.
Ionafan…could the laundry basket be temporarily located downstairs?Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all
So cute Pigpen.
Wide awake at 4.30am so got up at 5.30 and did the ironing. Slightly panicked about the amount of work that I have to get done at the paid stuff and next week I am off on Friday and going to hospital with DS1 on Monday.
15 minutes of yoga next then ready for the paid stuff, want to try and get in early.
Hope Thursday is kind to you all x

Freezer being delivered today.. so, I have to fit that in!
I'm thinking for speed today.. pull ou fridge and freezer, remove 2 tiny cupboards, put dead freezer outside put fridge where dead freezer is.. move live freezer to any random gap in the way until new freezer is in situ.. OR .. spin the table.. yeet dead freezer and put new freezer in the way.
in addition to cat trays, laundry and doing all the dirty pots no one bothered to do yesterday.. and I am flining corned dog in the SC because I don't think I will be able to cook later.
Painting at DD1's tomorrow.

Morning. That's proper freezer Tetris Piggers.
I have been sorting out my office this morning. I want to get everything into box files on shelves then move the storage cupboards into the cupboard of doom to keep that more organised. I've made progress but have stopped for a cuppa, to wash up and to walk Poppet.
Spend less now, work less later.7 -
DH's medical was decluttered in double quick time. It was only about his sleep apnoea, so it's a good thing he had gone to the sleep clinic on Tuesday and been told that his levels were good.
I did manage to make a phonecall whilst waiting in the car park and have arranged to pass on the necessary for another church job to someone else tomorrow afternoon [fer-ling!]
On the way home I posted the parcel containing the last 3 decluttered books [fer-ling!] but when I got home I discovered [senior moment alert!] that the card to my friend that I had planned to put in the package was still lying on my desk - dohhhhhhhhh!Oh well, a quick email will sort that.
DH has offered lunch out, but I need to ring my Greek friend first and see whether she wants to go out today or tomorrow.

Dead freezer out.. I have pizzas in a freezer bag and chicken bits.. I will have to feed those to the beasts for dinner but corned dog for OH and the big ones.Table turned and moved .. we noticed the leg is broken so that is being flung next and I will bring the smaller glass one from behind the chests of drawers on the landing.. it came with OH but I think the girls are big enough to be trusted with it.. and it is smaller! Sounds like a win to me!
This afternoon I am taking doors off a brand new freezer, (0.7cm narrower than my back door!) heaving it through the door.. by myself.. spending 10 years recovering.. then putting it all back together and hoping it doesn't leak!
I am a bit excited about moving something from the landing.. and, as it's glass I don't need a table cloth! Double win!
Kitchen swept.. and apparently I drank my tea..
