Honey_Bear said:SECRET SANTAI think what with the postal strikes it would be a good idea to get this moving sooner rather than later. I know somestrike days have been cancelled but nonetheless it will probably be helpful for those that want to join to know who they're sending something to by the end of this week rather than leaving it longer than that. With that in mind I'll be DMing evryone who's on the list so far if you haven't already send me your full address and Flylady name. If you don't want to include your real name as long as you don't mind your Flylady name on the package that's fine by me.If you haven't received a DM from me by the end of the day and want to be included please let me know.Final shout out - for anyone that would like to be included now is the last chance!
The rail strikes have had more of an impact so far. There are those to take into consideration too!

Hello,
Thank you for the lists. I wiped the kitchen table and WULTD, so that’s me feeling smug at having at least done something from today’s list.
It’s dark, wet and blowing a hoolie outside. I did some sterling service in the WAC last night (turns out that 4.10am that I thought the clock showed was actually 1.20am…), so this evening is about pjs and the settee. A chunk of tomorrow is set aside for more progress on the finance frogs which I have committed to munching before the year is up - gulp, but thank you, Iona, for the inspiration and challenge to do this.9 -
Open some windows for some fresh air - can't do this as the cats will escape, plus it's miserable and rainy here!
Wash up, dry up and put away (or remove all pots to DW)
Clear sides and wipe down - wipe small appliances and caddies etc. Don't forget the splashbacks or tiles!
Replace what lives there, wiping as you go
Empty bin and clean it out too - put it outside to dry in the sunshine, if you can. - can't lift the bloody thing XD Will ask OH to do
Clear and clean sink and accessories - don't forget those out-of-sight places - under plugs and under draining racks - and shine those taps - or clean them!
Glug some bleach down the plugholes.
Clean/polish table - wipe mats/change cloth - don't forget the legs and places where sticky fingers can reach. - not today
Clean chairs/stools - and don't forget legs and rails!
Check fruit and wash bowl - we don't have a fruit bowl. For a vegetarian and a nearly vegetarian you'd think we would but neither of us like fruit much
Throw away your manky dish cloth or sponge and replace with a new one! Put out a new hand towel and a new tea towel too

I'm here..always popping up then popping back down again..lol
Thank you for the lists Valli
I'm intending on being a bit more proactive and get the house Chrimbo ready and hopefully ready to put on the market the first week in January too.
I've also got other stuff in-between this to do but the house is the main priority now. And as it's cooler there's no excuse for me..lol. Although I am awaiting to see if we can get a new carpet from the insurance company due to the water leak damaging it, turning it mouldy underneath and generally turning it manky. But that looks like it's easier to get my teeth pulled than them paying out for a carpet.
For those doing the the Christmas Card swap I shall be sending out the names this week so that we can get them sent out early so the postal strikes don't affect the cards getting to their destinations.

Natty.. I have a leak somewhere under the bathroom floor, or maybe the back of the shower and it has brought down my kitchn ceiling so I am looking at an insurance claim too. The excess plus the increase to next years premium will still making it cheaper than the extra damage done while I try to find a plumber who actually wants to do some work. I am still waiting for the one who said he would be here on 11th September.. Tradespeople are so incredibly unreliable.

Morning all.
Yesterdays flying consisted of doing two wash loads and scrubbing the kitchen sink.
I'm going to flutter again this morning before DGD2 arrives. I want to change the sofa throws, change our bedding, have a nice walk with Poppet and I need to phone our energy supplier.
But first, to prep some healthy breakfast as I've been eating too much cake.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Morning all,
Up at work o’clock on my day off, annoying but I’m trying not to waste it.
Bedding stripped and washed. Washing juggled as yesterday’s towel wash is still struggling to dry. Hair washed and tamed, although if I go outside it will have been a waste of time.
To do: maybe run an errand for DD in small town (anxiety inducing just thinking about driving and parking), tidy up and vacuum spare room for this weekend’s guests, clean bathroom, maybe even wash the kitchen floor. I have a finance appointment this afternoon, which should see one of those frogs firmly settled back on its lily pad.
DH is at work and possibly out entertaining work guests this evening, so I have no excuses that I can yet think of.
Hugs to all, especially to those returning to work after time off x9 -
Morning all
I have a zoom training meeting shortly so am at home until that's done. I had planned to go in to work to join it but...
Started the day with a coffee and unscrewed my bedroom door handle so I could oil it as it is noisy was noisy.
So that's a frog dealt with.
Hope you all have a good day.
ETA -Tomorrow...the meeting is tomorrow...

Go you, Jazee!Back from small town. Completely uneventful and parked almost outside the shop for free. And why was I worrying, again?? Independent jeweller fixed DD’s bracelet in minutes. DD’s car given a good run as well. I also might have slipped into the cs, but in my defence I now have a present for DSis, some C-cards and 3 books for someone to give me as a present. Successful visit.
Bin men have been, empty bin rehoused safely out of the wind.
Making a brew then I will sort out the guest bedroom.10
