No pump, no fish tank, no immersion heate, no celler or basement, no ev, there's no internet or phone line, house is in a poor state with very old wiring..
We're getting an electrician to check it out on Monday morning...0 -
Eon next sent someone out to test the meter0

Why aren't you doing the basics yourselves by turning everything off and monitoring usage? Cheaper than paying an electrician.0

Does he have a hot water tank or a combi boiler?
We have gas water heating but it heats a tank, that also has an immersion heater fitted as a backup (or could be for quicker top-ups if we were so inclined).0 -
Very old wiring could actually be shorting and going to ground, time for an electrician to inspect it and fit a modern fuse board?
Check the Serial number on the meter match the bill, have you got a photo?
That or next door are tapping in somewhere, loft and stealing power.
31 KWH a day!

What could be causing such high usage? Do we need to check how much each appliance is using?

I am confused - are the bills above which have readings in the 8000's and annual under 3000 kWh your uncles ?
Where then do the "So on the 21st April the reading was 17882.2 and 21st may it was 18635.8 so 753.6kwh was used" in your first post come from ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -

In the 10 days in October 306kWh were consumed. This is consistent with the >25kWh per day average since then. Something is guzzling the juice. The previously mentioned actions to identify this should be executed ASAP.

The OP was concerned in October and was given similar advice (although possibly not quite so direct).OP did you investigate this and find the guilty appliance back in October?N. Hampshire, he/him.
